Sugy, this started out with me attempting to explain why Lee Clark may have decided against signing Jamie Vardy. Nothing to do with Dean Hoyle or his backing of Mark Robins and signing Adam Hammill. As regards drinking 15 pints of lager and a dozen vodka shots wasn't that consumed in one night? 'One drunken night' isn't that what it was? I repeat I am not defending him or his actions. Seem to be going round in circles CODDS as my only point was that Vardy would not have been the only player ever signed by Dean Hoyle with a bad boy attitude problem.
It was only made public last week about Butterfield's attitude problems ,and Vaughan and Gerrard cannot have been that far behind .
There you go again, you keep throwing Dean Hoyle into the mix, he wasn't the deciding factor in not signing Vardy. That was down to the manager at the time, though IF Clark had decided to take him no doubt Dean Hoyle would have backed him. Edit...By the way I wouldn't say and neither would Dean Hoyle that Butterfield, Gerrard or Vaughan had a 'bad boy' attitude problem. In fact Dean Hoyle said only last week that Butterfield was a 'nice lad'.

It was mentioned recently by the club that so called " nice lad " Butterfield refused to play for town again if he was not sold to Derby.
Would you describe that as a serious attitude problem or not.
All Dean seemed interested in was the signing on fee.

Just telling you what Dean said.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You clearly say above that you thought Butterfield did not have an attitude problem . Do you honestly think this especially after his refusal to play for town again if he was not transferred to Derby???

I didn't think anything at the time because that information hadn't been released, however regardless of what or wasn't said Dean Hoyle said since then that Jacob is 'a nice lad'. I'm now out.

From only 7 shots five have been on target for Leicester with 2 goals. Chelsea have managed just 8 shots with 3 on target and 0 goals from their 66% possession. Town only managed 7 on target from their 23 shots on Saturday despite 69% possession. The lack of clinical finishing for us is plain to see.

I wonder whether DH has bad dreams about LC saying that Vardy wasn't good enough. I watched Vardy at Halifax a few times and couldn't understand why we hadn't signed him. Just shows that we ignorant supporters sometimes have more insight than many, so called, experts like LC.

We can all play this game I wonder if LC has bad dreams of DH saying that £1m for Rickie Lambert is poor value because of his age (27 at the time). When his 106 league goals carried Southampton from Lge 1 to the PL in successive seasons (denying us a promotion spot in Lge 1) and he was sold for £4m plus add ons at age 32, and just like Vardy he went on to represent England. Experts, eh! Vardy scored 7 goals in his first 41 appearances for Leicester, he would have been written off way before the end of that spell for us - you know, like Wells was/has been despite his first 7 goals coming in only 20 games - most of which played in an unfamiliar lone striker role.

Chelsea fans are asking who Claudio Ranieri is. He was the manager before you started supporting them!

Talk about a ground rocking. So nice to see a proper club doing what they are doing, just massive teamwork and a goal scorer. Something I think we lack. Credit to them against a team of Prima donners, can they stay top though .

Leicester doing a great job but let's not forget they were the first of a few football clubs to shaft the revenue when rules around administration were quite lax...
All that said, it's still good that a relatively normal club are in the mix, this has been needed for a few seasons in the PL, with Palace knocking on the door of the top six it would be nice to think the big clubs might start to get a bloody nose a little more often...

I agree! I struggle to call a foreign owned club that bankrolled a promotion - a proper football club. I highly doubt that many on here would call QPR a proper club, but Leicester were equally as guilty regarding FFP and would have had an embargo like L666s, Forest and Blackburn had they have not been promoted.

Just shows that we ignorant supporters sometimes have more insight than many, so called, experts like LC. He didn't say he wasn't good enough, he said he had worries over a potential attitude problem. Big difference. The story also ties in with those that report around that time he had a problem with the old marching powder.

And the way they were kicking every ball with the players and driving them on til the very end. Cheering every tackle and every kick to safety. It would be a great story if they made top 4 at the end of the season.

My favourite part of the match was the cheer after the announcement that there was a ten mile tailback on the southbound m1 for all the Chelsea fans going home.

Why can't I call him useless? It is a forum of 'opinions' so many keep saying. Thing is, i can comment on his ability first hand as I've played against him on three or four occasions. The lad will NEVER cut it as a professional footballer. This will NEVER get old.
