Fuck me sideaways, we are our own worst enemies. How did we lose that? Enough chances to win 2 games fluffed and yet we end up losing to a bloody awful Preston side. We bossed possession, controlled the game, carved out the best chances but yet our soft underbelly of unable to score and keep teams out was really evident today. A right soft touch we are. That's what happens when you don't buy a striker, no ones fault but our own, today just highlighted our deficiencies.

Singling out Matmour being part of the reason for our defeat today is poor even by your standards. I can only assume you were there today. I was recovering after an enjoyable evening with Micky Buxtons boys. You have slightly misunderstood my post. I wasn't singling out Matt Moore but I would have rather seen Elvis who is more of a direct goal scoring threat to Matt Moore who incidentally didn't appear to enjoy himself too much again today. Then I struggle to see how you could judge Matmour's contribution at all, if you didn't see it. I'd have thought you might be able to take more of an issue with the final substitution... an inexperienced defender in the 90th minute.

Without singling the inexperienced defender out his bad decision lead to the winner, instead of passing it back to the keeper, he aimlessly directed the ball directly in the air, the Preston player won the ball, next thing its in the back of the net.

Carl surely you don't think you know more than e4 who was directing football operations from his bedroom whilst you were sat at the game ? Were you at the game? If there is one poster on this forum that gives the impression they sit in their bedroom with their cock in one hand and the other on a computer keyboard it's you. Whoosh .. Another one goes over splatters head ... Anymore insults fella ? Not interested in getting one over anyone .. Just sick to the back teeth of you whining and whinging.... Then deciding everyone should stop whining and whinging ...then whining and whinging again.. Ad infinitum... Do you not see what you're doing and that you've been doing it for years .. Only difference being your name as you keep deleting your username like a crybaby when someone challenges your crap

Move on from the fact we bought no one in January in retort to someone who starts threads claiming the chairman is having our pants down. We need to sort our defence out, today was a game we should not have lost. Your habit of trawling through old threads to find quotes to use makes you a tit aswell as a sad bastard. Ooh your eloquence strikes like a dagger .. highlighting hypocrisy and bullshit is always fun .. safe to say only nickhudd gives me more ammo than you I've met nick, nice fella seen him at holmbridge games to watch his kid up to a few months ago I played in the same team. Don't let an Internet persona lull you into a false sense of who a person actually is... but then again when you spend your life playing final fantasy 15 I bet you do lose your grip on reality eventually.

I must admit I listened to mixir today and can honestly say that I turned to the Missus when he made the Powellesque first substitution and said, oh shit, we are going to lose this game now. Even when Wells scored I could sense a disaster and I was not surprised one bit when it happened. I fear another relegation scrap, this manager is not God, he has lost 4 on the trot now!

I didn't go today, mainly after watching the crap last Saturday. I opted for Micky Buxtons night yesterday and I think I made the right choice. Did you go today Ted? I didn't go no.. Not been away for ages... Wish I'd gone today tbh sounds like we played well and the atmosphere great.. But it's itrelevant whether I went .. What's relevant is YOU playing chief coach from behind your couch

Can't believe we lost that. Had enough chances to win 5 games. Preston were garbage as well. Wagner fucked up with the Boyle sub.

He should've played Davidson. At least we would've been down 2 - 0 at half-time and not feeling so frustrated/depressed.

Instead he immediately took issue with a guy he's only ever seen play once and whom he didn't even see play AT ALL today. For the record, I have no problem with Boyle... I think his manager might have let himself down a little today, though. Hopefully he'll learn quickly.

I was right though. We needed to maintain our attacking threat. I think you will see in the weeks ahead that Elvis is a more direct attacking player than Matt Moore. You don't need to be at the match to know that, just read their profiles and stats!

I have had a dig at the manager for making a positional substitution that handed the impetus to PNE on a plate. Please read again and understand.

Home TeamPrestonAway TeamHuddersfield Possession Home37%Away63% Shots Home10Away20 Shots on Target Home4Away7 Corners Home2Away5 Fouls Home12Away10 What is the point of dominating a game yet again but still losing,it's easy to point the finger at the defence but when you don't take your chances you leave yourself open to be punished,we have to sort out the goalscoring problem quickly otherwise we will be dragged back into the mire Ok we are all frustrated but where is the evidence that if you have less possession and create fewer chance you win more games over bthe whole season and in the long run ? The point I am making is,the real problem is up front not the defence as most people seem to think,as in a lot of games we have the lions share of possession n chances but are unable to convert,we can't keep saying the opposition keeper had a blinder as an excuse,I don't pretend to know the answer but we have find the back of the net regularly and soon.

Surprised you didn't turn to the missus saying Lynch should be subbed a minute before he sliced ball into his own net.. And surprised Marcus didn't say that wouldn't have happened if Murray Wallace were playing

What has billing done to be called a great player? Plenty of potential yes,but great? Really ffs man you know what i mean he looks a prospect Judging by the various tweets by Preston fans, the report by the Preston fan in the "Nob ender" thread and Wagner's post match comments about him, I don't think you were too far off with your great player assessment. He certainly has been for the U21's and had he not got injured in the l***s game we'd have certainly seen a lot more of his potential. Looking forward to seeing a lot from this lad in the next couple of years before we sell him.

Give over, we are own worst enemy on the pitch and off it, a decent striker would have been walking away with the match ball tonight, instead we persist with Wells, who scores one goal for every 5 chances. To be fair to Wells he is carrying the goal scoring duties himself, he needs someone to take the pressure off him and help out but he needs to improve his strike rate for this league.

From what I've heard a read Wells was far from on his own in missing chances. The burden for scoring goals should not fall on one player. We would all like him to take a few more chances, but he is scoring for us regularly. What about some help from his team mates?
