Wow I hope this is not your real opinion There is no real respect given if you cancel events, its just enforced and nothing happens. The day of her death and the day of the Funeral should have been made sacrosant and all other events should have been postponed along with closing of everything non essential. A full national show of the enormity of the death was required but the target needed to be narrowed and sharpened, not this half arsed longer period of bits and bobs. A full 10 day showing of the country celebrating her life and service was needed, not a bit part grabbing of the 'required' grief or sadness at her death. They got it wrong.. Well thanks for that a far more tactful post than your first one and I would agree with a lot of your sentiment

What the "call it off" folks on here don't appear to get, is that they did not have to go to a game this weekend if they didn't want to. They could have shown their own "respect" by not going if they were so "upset". How f***ing dare they impose their faux ideals on the rest of us. Wow I hope this is not your real opinion

It’s quite a hard decision to make for the board, DS has been dealt a very bad hand and he is trying to make the best of it,when you consider that only Tom Lee’s and Olly Turton are the only players out of our defence from last years squad and O’Brien has gone as well it’s easy to understand why we have problems. On the other hand it has to be said his team selection is very confusing putting players out of position and then saying we are trying to encourage versatility?. For me it has to be square pegs in square holes and if he continues to play Hogg at CH Turton at LB and Thomas on the left and we keep loosing then he simply has to go, He now has the chance to play a strong back line at QPR put Thomas back on the right bring Jones onto the left and get some shape back into the team so they all know the positions they are playing. It’s only my opinion but he simply has to drop Russell . I think if we get badly beaten at QPR he will be gone and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Wagner back in charge.

I'm far from a moaning shit, but I think you're being a tad generous. Russell seriously lacks athleticism and Hogg is pretty one dimensional and not getting any younger. LOB's value to the team was seriously underplayed by some, probably because he didn't get directly involved (i.e., not the goal or direct assist) in that many goals. However, he was the energy and didn't lack quality either. Without him it has exposed Russell and an ageing Hogg. Many aren't that surprised by this. It's not necessarily a dip in form, or that Russell or Hogg are crap, rather the combination doesn't really work. This. O'Brien and Hogg were the ideal players alongside Russell, as their strengths compensated for his weaknesses and he was able to flourish. Kasumu seems to me to be the ideal midfield partner to Russell, but Kasumu's return from injury is likely to be at the expense of Russell. Russell should be in the B team or out on loan he reminds me of a slow poor mans Phil Billing it’s like watching a building falling down as he lumbers around. Kasumu hopefully is the answer with possibly Mahoney for Hogg and Kasumu to give the ball too as I understand from a few Millwall fans Postings when he left that he is very skilful passer with both feet.

hopefully Russell and hogg in the centre so it gives rudnoi that freedom to do what he wants but hogg will be at the back with Lees and yuta How has Russell kept his place he was absolutely rubbish against WBA I must have been watching a different game to DS there is absolutely no justification to pick him.

Past caring. Blokes a miserable twat online about everything and anything the club does. Be ok tho, someone will be along to report the post. Don’t get so stressed over things that you don’t know what will happen, and over someone’s opinion you really don’t care about. I think he is a Town Fan the same as you but his glass appears to be half empty to your half full one.

A good result against a really poor Stoke side. Much needed improvements and still a lot to work on but we needed a result and we got one. Holmes MOTM for me, he won the game for us. No chance the lad from Wimbledon and Hoggy best in our side today

Not sure if those posting Thomas and Ruffles are shit went today or are arm chair bedwetters but they both put a shift in today. Suspect both will go on to do really well. Good support from the fans helped today, from the off. There is no substitute for positivity. Well done Danny and the lads. Really good game and great to come out on top. There's a few near me who seem to sit down every game with the intention of focusing entirely on Sorba, waiting for something they can hurl abuse at him for. If you try something a bit special, it won't always work. I'll never criticise a player for trying something different. With Thomas it's the decision making that let's him down at times (yes, I'm like a broken record) which probably comes from him coming through the non-league system rather than at a pro academy. To be fair he has been poor in the first two games today I thought he worked harder today but his first touch in my opinion is terrible particularly in tight areas and he has no left foot. He needs to stop believing his own hype and keep on working to improve his game.

The model hasn’t changed from last year and that wasn’t bad. Also DH owning things has no impact on the club if they use them. I assume they would be part of the sale if he sells. You are throwing your toys out of the pram because we have lost two games and not spent much. Very similar to the start of last season. The old “toys out of the pram” argument just because I’m questioning how the club is being run at present. We got lucky last season and clearly had a good coach, who has now walked and we’ve replaced him on the cheap, I’m not having the continuity argument, we should’ve been looking to replace him with someone with some experience of 1st team management. We now appear to have taken massive strides backwards and the noise from the club is negative. Where’s the rallying call that we wanna go one step further than last year etc.. All we get fed is how much Hoyle is “pumping in” and how we haven’t a pot to piss in, doesn’t really inspire fans does it? We should’ve kicked on and shown a bit of ambition after a great season last season. Instead we have a rookie manager, lost the heartbeat of our team and replaced with, at the moment average looking signings! (Hopefully will come good) Patience with a lot of fans is wearing thin and if this start carrys on there’ll be less than 10k there again. Accusing fans of “throwing toys out of pram” is childish, it’s just some fans aren’t blinkered and don’t hang on every word of Dean Hoyle. We’re heading one way at present, but maybe that’s what the club deserves. This is the rambling’s of someone from another planet why don’t you read what you have written before posting? Just think about what you have written. The heart has been ripped out of the club Two players wanted to better themselves moving to the Premier League ( How does Dean Hoyle stop that?) Pippa moves on to play a better standard of Football and The Chelsea Loanee moves back to his parent club to again play a higher standard of football (How does Dean Hoyle Stop that?) Then the Manager who in my opinion was tapped up to move to the same club Pippa joined which is owned by the same Chairman as Forest and leaves the club in the dodo looking for a replacement 3 weeks before the start of the season How is that Deans Hoyle’s fault? He could not stop any of the players or the Manager leaving so he is left to make the best of a bad situation. Chucking higher wages at the leavers would not work they want to test themselves. You do appear to be throwing your Toys out of the pram as you have not put forward any sort of reasoned argument as to what Dean Hoyle or anyone at Huddersfield could have done.

So what is the alternative? There is none How do you know DH does not have a buyer lined up? He can’t do anything until he actually gets the 75% shares back anyway. As for your comments on us not being a club anybody would be interested in, how the hell do you know! We had no interest from buyers when in the Premiership DH has been our sole financial supporter for over 10 years why are people not breaking DH office door down. Could it be that we loose £10m per year and it is unlikely that if we built a new ground holding 60,000 we could fill it with season ticket holders which just by coincidence would make us an attractive proposition if we could. It’s called reality

Just where do you thinks these benefactors willing to pump millions into Town without any return are? I don’t see them lining up to buy the club. If you are unable to post sensible comments you should STOP posting, the fact is Huddersfield Town are simply not an attractive proposition for Investors and whether you like it or not, Dean is our best and only option at present and until this Multi Millionaire who is going to give us £100million and not even ask for a cup of tea rides into Town then we are where we are. OK, and until Hoyle came along, Davy was probably our only option - didn't stop people complaining about him, did it? Too many Town fans are just happy to accept whatever is given to them without any argument. Just because there is (according to your knowledge) no buyer lining up, doesn't mean we have to blindly accept every decision made by the current owner. So what is the alternative? There is none

All these defending Dean need a reality check. Every amount of money that he has put into the club has been loan. He should have sold it all when he left. This is a relegation team. Sign some quality or bigger off.

I have a few spies here n there. They like him, which doesn't necessarily mean we're 100% going to sign him but he's of interest. Just like Hudlin was and Jessie Debrah is for example. There's always lots of moving pieces and it's all about timing to get the best deal when any other interested clubs are looking the other way. At this moment Simpson would be 3rd/4th choice (depending on whether they find a loan for Phillips) and a B team project but one they would hope they could turn around relatively quickly like they did with Sorba and Russell. I know signing B team players isn't always exciting, but they've got a job on persuading someone to come in when Danny Ward and Jordan Rhodes are both high end earners and both performed pretty well last season, they're in the box seat to start. The money or wage structure isn't there to bring in a high class first choice striker either atm unless Dean changes his mind on budgets. On the flipside to that, having Ward contracted til 2023 let's them plan accordingly ot try get a B team player up to speed. They spend a lot of money on Canalside so projects like what Simpson/Hudlin would be are important to it and the future. Yeah they'll cost less than what Ellis Simms would have done but playing a slightly longer game might heed the same results in the end. Fingers crossed anyway. I haven't seen Russell turn around quickly. Rhodes is not good enough any more and whilst I did not want him back I have to admit Ward played Well last season but is very injury prone so we do need a recognised striker not B Team players. On a lighter note I think Russell has to be slowest player ever to play for us and must be close to being the slowest player in any League not just the championship

I agree. A budget beyond our wildest dreams and DH blew it in backing DW to the hilt Absolving Hoyle of any blame whatsoever, yet again. He was the main man, he fucked it up. Dress it up however you want but the buck stops with him, not Wagner. Mitigation is there with his illness, of course, but the seeds were sown well before. A little contrition and humility from Hoyle could go a long way. I simply fail to understand this constant haranguing of DH yes we made a mess of the Premier League as has virtually every club who gets promoted from the championship We simply could not afford premier league quality players so we gambled on potential and it failed. If you look at the Norwich model they buy top quality championship players knowing when they are relegated they have a great chance of bouncing back. We got it wrong now let’s move on

This we need a striker and things really gets me as everybody seems to think its easy to get one. Dont you think we are competing with almost every other team for this position as its the hardest to get. Every team in the country wants a 20 goal a season striker but there isnt many of those about. Ehhh Luton got one ahead of us from Walsall I think that might be marked down as a missed opportunity?

It’s been obvious for the past 4 seasons we need a quick strong mobile CF who can score goals yet we never even appear to be looking for one. DW and JR and not good enough but We sign defenders and midfield players. Last night we where poor no attacking threat whatsoever and we only had JR to bring on as an attacking option. No shots on goal in two games sort of emphasis the problem to everyone apart from the ones responsible for recruitment.

I understand hot off the press that because of All the DH detractors he has had enough and sold the ground and the training centre to a housing developer who start demolishing both sites on Monday. It’s not just coincidence that we have not played a pre season friendly at home and the team have been away training.

I wasnt referring to anyone in particular,, just the general mood from a lot of people. Some of the more balanced views I can appreciate even if I dont fully agree, but theres a lot who are frankly pitifully entitled IMO. Have no appreciation of what the man has done for this club and no empathy at all for why the continual progression eventually went south. Just a constant 'gimme gimme gimme' attitude. Everyone, myself included would love all the money we make from LOB and HT to be re-invested in players. But the club costs a shit load to run, and our extremely cheap SC money wont touch the sides of that..so to do that would require Hoyle to put in a huge amount of his money to keep the club functioning. It would be lovely if he was willing to do that, but it seems he isn't. He'd rather use a lot of that LOB/HT money to keep the club running instead.... ie HTFC being self-sustaining. and there is where I differ from a lot of voices on here. Some demand he put his own money in.. and will slag him off and abuse him if he doesnt. They do feel entitled to his money... very entitled. I dont feel I have any right to demand that of him.. or hammer him if he doesnt.... even though id love him to. If he wants the club to fund itself, then thats his right whether fans think that lacks ambition or not. Until he moves on and a new owner comes in who is, then thats just how it'll be. Anyone who can't tolerate that is welcome to join this queue of generous benefactors who are willing to pump their millions into our hobby. If that means Im up Hoyle's arse, then so be it because he's an absolute legend of this club and but for him we'd have spent the last 14 years pratting about in the bottom two divisions,,as had become our status in the game. I completely respect that view and wouldn't argue the fundamentals at all. The problem I have is that I feel that, as a long standing fan, I am no longer apparently trusted to understand the strategy at the club. As I said we don't know what caused Carlos to decide to leave. Because we don't know, and I would say that I don't believe the rhetoric that this was a "shock", it is natural speculation will continue as to what the reasons where. A year ago the Premier League wage bill issues had apparently been resolved, we were able to retain LOB and we signed 3 Premier League loans (2 in August - Colwill, Sinani and Tino in January). PH was still supporting reasonably/cheap season tickets, was scheduling repayments on loans but was able to sanction a budget which Carlos was happy/felt comfortable with. Last season, certainly against my expectation, we were a credible top 6 team. I fully accept that losing LOB is inevitable, and possibly Toffs, and that could be planned for. However for Carlos to feel he had gone as far as he could is naturally concerning. Most wanted Town to use last season as a springboard to better fortunes on the pitch. The current perception is that won't be the case (although more can happen in the next few weeks). What we don't know is what the boundaries are the club has to work within. The simple view is add to, or at least maintain, the budget of last season and build on that success. My, admittedly naive, view is use the value in the team (Sorba, Nicholls etc...) as the financial balance. Surely attaining Premier League status again has to be the aim from a financial viewpoint? We were so close last season the logic is that progressing had to be worth a go? What has happened suggests that wasn't possible for whatever reason. So the problem is one of communication. Until that bridge is built and we understand more people will speculate and argue. One thing is for sure is that if we aren't as successful, or struggle, on the pitch the challenge to what DH is trying to achieve will rage on. The financial realities need to be spelt out and then at least we know what to expect. If we do know we can then move the debate forward. As it stands speculation and frustration will continue. I can't criticise DH for what he puts into Town but I can't criticise those who are concerned because we simply don't know. Your last paragraph sums up this entire subject WE SIMPLY DON’T KNOW no right minded Town fan can knock DH for his support over his time in charge. It’s obvious he can’t go on forever pumping millions into the club. Carlos has gone and I am not that bothered Wagner Left and we moved on lots of managers have come and gone so let’s give DS a chance. I think with the recruitment of a CF with pace then we have the making of a good young side. Stop moaning about what we don’t have and don’t know and start looking forward to the new season.

Challenged on what exactly? Putting millions of his own money into the club and hoping to see some of it returned. Whilst the long thought out post above clearly identifies the two different beliefs about DH The entire argument can be summed up in a Nutshell DH wants his money back he apparently is not going to write off his loan and he will ensure the club cuts its cloth accordingly. There is no more to discuss from which ever side of the fence you sit on. I think you need to read what I have written, both in this thread and consistently over time. Can't argue with any of that. A very fair summary of DH's time here I would say. As you say, ultimately he is the only one who can repair his reputation and bring back what was an almost universal support of his plan and approach pre 2019. Many Pro-DH folk will argue that those of us raising concern over his approach are just 'entitled' and wanting him to 'spunk his millions', this absolutely isn't the case. The problem is, as you have highlighted, the total lack of clarity, communication, and apparent absence of direction. So much of the current furore could have been avoided if a clear explanation had been provided over the circumstances surrounding CC's departure, and what the plan for the club is going forward, instead of the politi-nonsense we received on RL. The "entitled" argument is something I find incredibly insulting. Those who pedal choose not to accept inconvenient facts (those mistakes that have been made) and that people might be, reasonably, disappointed with those mistakes. I am very appreciative of the contribution that DH has made down the years but that doesn't mean he gets everything right and he shouldn't be challenged. This is one of the only sensible postings I have seen over DH Unless he has a massive rush of blood he is not going to write off the debt owed and hand over the training ground free of charge. Therefore as you quite correctly point out the debt owed to DH is most likely more than the value of the club. On this basis alone I simply don’t understand how anyone can knock DH as he has continued to invest in a club most likely fully aware the club cannot afford to pay him back without being forced into administration. I suspect the income generated from the sale of players would go someways to running the club for 12/18 months but that’s all. In my opinion if DH is not here Huddersfield Town are not here. If Huddersfield Town were no longer ger here that's because the former owner and passionate Town fan allowed that to happen as a result of him wanting his money back. Whichever way you look at our ownership it's all a bit of a fiasco at the moment. Just what did he allow to happen we as a club threw £90m down the drain plus wages on players who where not good enough. Did DH pick the players? No Who ever did is the person responsible even if that is David Wagner himself. DH is not going to let it happen again and is continuing to fund the club who let’s face it made a complete mess in the second year of the premier League ( yes I know DH was part of that as well)
