Very good signing for Stoke.
Ince started out of position for us, mainly due to Palmer being MIA.
He played on the left and number 10 mainly do didn’t settle into a regular role. I think he was trying too hard to find his feet, shooting too hard & not playing his natural game.
I think he’d be a different proposition this season in a settled role with confidence high.

Guaranteed to find his shooting boots if he leaves us. A lot of people said the same about Nahki.. We can't hoard players in the hope that they might turn good for us, or be an asset if we get relegated. We have to keep progressing and by most accounts, Ince isn't the standard we require. He's a very good Championship player and it's a positive sign that we don't deem that good enough for us. |

Looks like weve outspent most of our rivals with Afobe, Maclean, Etobi and Ince. Still in for Chester at Villa and looking like Allen and Butland are staying Just need Berahino to come good !

His confidence obviously took a hit with us and he always took that extra touch that confident players don't need to. Pace and reading of the game of defenders in PL tends to be of a lot higher quality too. Hefele looks like he's walking in quicksand at this level. Got away with it more in Championship. All relative. |

That's what I was thinking - if he's signed say a 3 year contract on good money and they go up then realise he's not really prem quality they could have a job moving him on as easily as we have.

Didnt mind him but he showed a complete lack of composure time and time again for the Prem, cant argue with getting £10mill for him. He gave us one of the best moments ever at the JS with his goal v Watford, we get our money back on him (our record transfer fee received ever), Stoke get an excellent Championship player, Tom becomes one of the best players in the division he's in again.

Surprised Stoke have managed to keep hold of Allen top player for that league. Usually hope relegated teams struggle but I’d like to see them bounce straight back, starting today please.
