Why does everyone think Mooy will leave? Don't understand why people think we'll be plundered for the good ones? Firstly, someone has to want them and secondly they might just decide a season where they could get some decent money and enjoyment from (particularly if we're challenging), is more attractive than bench warming in the PL? Agree, just get that feeling that Mooy might not leave. Not one of those who needs two yachts in Monaco instead of one.

Because he’s a prem quality player.......he’s going to be firmly in demand and won’t want a40% pay-cut at 29!

Watched the game on NBC Sports Network today and before the game the guys in the studio were commenting on how good he is and that he is our one player who has proven he is Premier League quality. If they can see it then you can be sure plenty others have Mooy will have the whole of the bottom half of the Premier League plus plenty of teams in other top divisions of Europe chasing him. I will be amazed if he doesn't leave

Sorry fella, I generally agree with you, but the reason I think Mooy will probably leave (and I'm not 100% sure as I think he may be settled in the area and be a bit different from the majority of footballers as he might have loyalty) is that there is no way if he left he'd just be bench warming in the PL. He walks into every team in the bottom half (IMHO).

If we get a big offer and his wages are big he will go.

Mooy is very shy/reserved so he isn't going to go on and make plenty of money from being a manager or a pundit Who knows he may go on to be very successful at something but he's got another 60 years of life ahead of him and making as much money as possible over the next 4 or 5 years will set him up for the rest of it.

Maybe there's something about Huddersfield that appeals to him so much that he doesn't need to move away. All the complications of having two yachts instead of one, it might not be his thing. I think he likes it and would be very surprised if he moves away. We Northerners are more tolerant of bald heads than others in the UK - the list why he should stay here is endless.

Maybe Dean Hoyle will renegotiate contracts if he thinks it's worth keeping them for a pop at promotion?
I'm sure it will sort itself out quickly either way...

He's not daft, Dean - he knows the value of both those follically challenged and those without a hair on their head. And how to assemble these together in perfect harmony!!

So what? We are financially stable and have a great championship squad. Have we got a great Championship squad? I think some of you will be in for a massive shock next season. There is probably some clubs in the Championship now with better squads than ours. We've been knocked out of both cups this season by average Championship teams, what does that tell you? Absolutely nothing.

I dont think money is the issue with mooy staying or not, he'd be well worth a chunk of the budget. if billing leaves we could probably offer mooy a bumper deal, sign a billing replacement and still have some left over. hes a player who would absolutely be worth the outlay, risk free
question is if he wants to continue to play at the top level, which i think he will and should unfortunatly

Mooy always said it was his dream to play in the premier league, be utterly shocked if he stayed. He left his own country to realise his dream of playing there, so doubt leaving us will be a problem

Thank you for picking me up on my sloppy grammar even at this late hour. You're welcome. I am semi drunk and in bed. Being kept awake by my 14 year old daughter and friends 'sleeping' in the room next door. 2 little 10 year old girls in the room the other way both asleep now. Wife snoring next to me. Much as I love HTFC there are much more important things in life.

Hoping Dean will ask him for one more year, or at least til January. Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards

One problem Mooy has is that he lacks the yard of pace that would make him a top half Premiership player, imo.

If everyone thinks Mooy will leave, and the pundits think he is prem quality, why did no one put in a bid during the window just gone?

Firstly, someone has to want them and secondly they might just decide a season where they could get some decent money and enjoyment from (particularly if we're challenging), is more attractive than bench warming in the PL? Mooy is too good for the championship. He's also good enough to be playing in the first 11 for a mid table premier league team. He might well love it here, but if he's ambitious then he'll inevitably want to play at the highest level, and good for him because he deserves it.
