I've given him time, but I'm now worried.
He found a system that seemed to work. 1 bad performance against Brighton and we've abandoned it.
With the personnel available today it had to be 4-1-2-1-2. We started the game with 5 central midfielders, but rather than being sensible we played 2 of them out of position.
We have a guy who has looked lively and got in behind when he can. We started him on the bench.
We had plenty of opportunities to get Mooy in the centre and in the game, and didn't bother with any. As ineffective as he was surely taking a centre mid off for Rowe instead of Kachunga would have made more sense?

Siewart may do alright but it was a massive mistake not to get Jokanovic I like some of what I've seen from Jan, but I think this may be true. However, this season was over a long long time ago, and Siewart was a long term target that we need to honour. Talk of getting rid at this stage is way premature. Exactly. We’re sounding like how Norwich fans were at the start of the season, and look how that’s turned out! And Farke had already had a season in the championship under him. Siewert gets thrown in at the deep end over half way through a season, in a league above, with no transfer window....and people are calling him out? Mental. I like the guy, I like what he says and how he wants to play. If billing was as shit as what people were saying then fair play to him for hooking him off at HT. I admit some of his starting lineups are questionable, but he deserves time and next season at least (unless were in deep trouble).

But who’s signing the players Webber signed for Farke? Because there’s not a chance Siewert and Winter are out there picking up jewells from South America and elsewhere.

He has to adapt to his players. He stuck Mooy (our best player by a street) our on the left wing today, while Billing and Stankovic (a centre half FFS) were plodding about in midfield. He’s not been here long and it’s not a great team to takeover but I expect him to play his best players in their best positions. And Mooy played there at Burnley, at Wolves, at Bournemouth, at Arsenal amongst others - Why are you judging JS differently when Wagner did the same earlier in the season? Seriously what games were you watching? I've seen you say this a couple of times now. We played 5-3-1-1 in nearly all of those. He was on the right or left of a 3. Today he was an out and out left winger in a 4-2-3-1, and totally out of the game.

We played a more narrow possession based 433 under Wagner, with emphasis on the fullbacks getting forward to provide the width. Today the midfield was Billing and Stankovic playing near enough as centre half’s, Mooy and Kachunga on the wing, with Pritchard Behind Mounie. We never pressed, never won the ball back high up, never create a chance. I loved Wagner and what he did for us but I’ll admit he lost something this season. Even so we were always well organised and more often than not created a chance or two we just rarely took them. Today we created fuck all, and it was similar at Brighton last week. Im not saying we should get rid of Siewart but i wanted to see a bit more from his team in terms of how we setup and attempt to play football.

Time to end the playing careers of some of the players at Huddersfield.
Zanka, billing, mounie, Durm, hadajonaj, puncheon... all billy big bollox who have done fuck all, sucking the life out of the team. Tell them to stay at home for the next 9 weeks.

It was a little strange that a premier league team appointed a manager whose only other experience of managing a first team was at the equivalent of conference level and he got sacked I totally agree . maybe we can try the head chef at Dortmund next !

Thought the whole defence was a shambles today. Their second goal showed quite clearly that our whole defence needs changing for next season.

Those dots on the other side are from playing in the middle, floating about when he can because he didn't have to stick to 1 side. He also was playing infield a fair bit, as you can see from the heat amps actually. I'd guess the only time he wasn't on the left today was after set pieces. I was at 2 of those games and he was nowhere near as isolated and out of the game as he was today stuck on a flank. I would guess his heat map today would be nearly totally on the touchline.

Impatient bleeders that are jerking those knees again! JS plays a pacy 4-3-3. The main 2 players to utilise this are both injured - Our squad depth (not on loan) is built for a 5-4-1 formation. At least give the fella time to shape a squad and its depth to his preferred formation before sacking him when he's been stuck with the worst squad in the division. Talk about lashing out wildly when things are going wrong - we played 20 odd games with that formation under Wagner, it was Siewert's first FFS! That's a far too sensible and accurate post for many on here to understand.

I think we’re all prepared to be patient and just be happy to see small flashes of positivity and signs of improvement, unfortunately I’m still waiting bar the wolves game where at least the spirit looked good. Fact is we look a much worse team than we did when Wagner was here....still. Has as anyone seen any positives they can cheer us all up with?

What’s really worrying is the thought that the geniuses that oversaw summer recruitment also picked the new manager. Plenty of time yet for jan to show what he’s made of although it’s not been a great start to be fair and it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that he’s already being questioned.

Yep and how many touches today compared to usual? Plus, surely you can see the difference in the maps? Today his main blobs are almost entirely outside the width of the penalty box. In all 4 of the others, they all come inside. In other words, in those games he was providing to the wider players. Today he was the wide player.

Siewert clearly has no respect from the players, no command of tactics and no idea. We need to bite the bullet now to give ourselves the best chance next year. People cannot be wanting to get rid of the guy already? Hell he has only just got into place. The squad is pee poor. Could any of us have done any better?

The red blobs are where he was positioned the most and they are all down the touchline. to quote my post on the other thread there are no butterflies in sight - How can he provide for wider players when the red blobs are on the touchline? There clearly isn't a discernable difference other then right to left in those maps, they all show a central midfielder playing out wide!

Absolute Total f***ing nonsense. It’s not JS fault his so called big players are lazy f***ing useless arseholes. He still can’t play the way he wants because he’s been left with 1 winger after injuries. You’ll see a totally different team next season. Players will stay that will fight for JS very much the same as when DW came. Players will come in that will do the same and players will go. Bringing in JS at this point was never about pushing to stay up. It was always about bedding in. Looking at what he’s got to work with and which players will fight. He’s got his work cut out but by no means should the majority of the blame fall at his door. agree what a load of rubbish about Jan Siewart talk about over reaction. he has shown he is not afraid to make changes and he will be fine. the players are the ones and I don't mean all of them who should be pillored for today. certainly not the coach.

Wagner was using Chris Powell’s players and immediately produced an identity and some performances.
