I said it a long time ago... due to the situation he could be under serious pressure at the end of the season. Might have been better to leave Hudson in charge and appointed him at the end of the season. Hard for him as this squad is rank with a losing mentality. I do however question what credentials he had to get a premier league job. Concerned by team and substitute selections. He’s not under any pressure at all until next season. What a load of tosh this thread is. More embarrassing than Billing’s performance today. |

The problems go deeper than just the manager. The squad have no idea of how to attack as a team and are clearly lacking any confidence. Heads sank immediately after the first goal, none of them had believe that we could turn it round and that became self perpetuating. Changing the manager again will not bring about an immediate change of fortunes. If we appoint a manager with some credentials it might give the squad some confidence in what we’re doing and givecthe fans some belief. Both are non existent under Siewert. And what exactly was Wagner's credentials when he turned up? |

not sure he tells the players not to try and take on an opponent, or tells mounie not to make any runs or to ever try to get to the ball first.. maybe its tactical to fucking ball watch as we run towards our own goal to allow the striker to mooch in between us and tap it in.. this squad was killed long before he got here.. it was killed by risk averse, negative football with the 'excuse' running behind it 'we cant beat the money'.. why the players are a yard short in attack and the same in defence with some today not even making a challenge worth its name is down to personal pride and that is lacking and comes from yourself, not some fucker in a tracksuit.. so many poor choices made today by virtually all the team, sometimes no choice made at all and just losing the ball due to a lack of interest.. watching a town player run with the ball into a blind alley whilst no fucker at all goes to help was hard to watch.. Manager has a tough job when some of the team just dont seem to care or have too much interest anymore.. Im sure they would not take kindly to being called a lazy, useless twat in public but dont seem to mind playing like one??? I could’ve told him Billing and Zanka wouldn’t put in the necessary effort today. Presumably he’s exempt from criticism for that as well because he’s not a psychic. he is exempt because injuries, real or otherwise, have made the selection more difficult for him. We have players who have stated they are too good to be here, unfortunately none of the loudmouth, below average players have yet proved it, we need these fuckers to play and play well enough to fool some other c-nt into overpaying for them so we can bring players to the club who have not got this fucking odd view of their own abilities... there is no shame in being bottom but there is in the way we have got here and stayed here.. keep changing managers, maybe we will get one as lucky as Wagner certainly became until it all ran out and he then ran out.... |

btw, the posts regailing all about formations and systems are wasted... pick 11 players roughly in the position they prefer and then get them to support the fucking ball in either defence or attack... honestly that 'plan' and a 5 minute team talk would have got us more from today than players afraid to go past the ball or mooching about in midfield not marking anyone or getting too far forward..
the ball watching whilst running away defensive plan is still not fucking working, good defender in the centre never actually has to cut out the whipped in cross if he has blocked off his 'man'... looking at the ball is hoping to cut it out but the one thing you 'know' is you can block the attackers run..

On one hand I see positives and a more forward thinking approach under Siewert. We got goal side of their midfield a lot in that second half but the quality just isn't there to finish it off.
On the other hand it was clear before kick off that Bacuna Vs Fraser was a disaster waiting to happen and dropping Grant was just plain wrong. It's also a concern how open and exposed we leave the defence with this style of play.
I feel that we have a team that could be good in the championship even when we lose Zanka Billing Mooy and Kongolo but he needs to stop drafting players in who can't be arsed. The fans don't want to see that. Lossl Lowe Kongolo Schindler Durm Stankovic Bacuna Mooy Pritchard Grant and Diakhaby is our best team. Mbenza for Pritchard if we go 433 and Hogg as back up with the academy lads.
Everyone else can go for me.

We obviously must give JS more time. I'm looking forward to next week's team selection because presumably he's going to make a point and make big changes. He said he was dissatisfied after last week's game - "it's not the way I play" amd he's said exactly the same thing after this week's match. You could have played the Brighton interview instead of today's interview.
Don't just talk the talk Jan, start walking the walk - and start by NEVER picking today's starting line up again - never seen such lack of pace. And whilst I'm on it, could we tell our, er, "busy" players eg Kachunga, Pritchard and others, to stop just being "busy" and DO something constructive.

I get a lot of people are disappointed by today's showing, but to be honest we've been bad for so long I don't understand how a performance like today's can come as a surprise to any town fan.
We've been poor since the first game of the season. The actual results this season have been awful. Accept relegation and accept that some of these players clearly think they are better than they are. Accept that no matter what Siewert tells them in training that they are simply not clever enough or good enough in a matchday situation.
the number of people leaving the ground early spoke volumes.
