See Town official website I'm very sorry to see DH go, but I'm relieved the club has been sold to another supporter. For the club to remain worth supporting it must retain the links to and be respectful to the local community.

It doesn't surprise me. All that effort he has put in, he made it to the promised land but its taken its toll on his health. Wish that man all the best. Come PM me if you ever come to Florida Dean. I will take you for some top golf. Best course you will have ever played on.

For the club to remain worth supporting it must retain the links to and be respectful to the local community. My thoughts exactly - other clubs have had the huge funds put in from foreign countries, but I'd much rather that control is kept amongst someone who has the club's best interests at heart, and who fully understands the links that the club has with the local community.

Best of luck to Phil Hodgkinson. Don;t know anything about him at all, but personally i like the fact hes a lifelong Town fan. Lets hope this is the beginning of another great period for the club under his ownership.
As for Dean, every HTFC fan should hold the man in the absolute highest regard. He picked up a total mess 11 years ago and has gone on to build the club into something that is totally unrecognisable from what it was. Hes given HTFC the best seasons weve had in many decades, way beyond what most thought was even possible, and did it whilst allowing us fans to pay at least half what fans of other clubs pay.
The man is a total Huddersfield town LEGEND and always will be.
Thank you so much for the brilliant memories we'll all take to the grave with us!

Pure Accounts 18.pdf (762.67 KB) Must be backed by/heading up a consortium looking at the business accounts?

I thought this guy had no money. How much did he buy the club for? If me and me partner had chipped in we might have been able to afford it! From Southport to Town! 🙄

Some facts about where we were when Dean Hoyle took over this club, just incase anyone is in any way letting this current season's woes tarnish his time as our owner...
HTFC had no assets of any value. Nothing. No share of the stadium , no training facilities. No valuable players. The entire squad we had at the time went on to be sold for the grand total of £45,000....all of that for James Berrett. We were a debt ridden, middling League 1 club. Our big summer signing was Malvin Kamara. We'd recently got gates of 6000 at 2 league games as fans gave up on the club in their droves.

Tbf I doubt he will have sold if it wasn’t right for both the club and personal reasons, always said he’d never jeopardise the future of HTAFC.
In Dean we still trust.

Personally, I'm happy. Happy for Dean and happy that we are still owned by a supporter of our club. It is the right time for a fresh start and a new era. Let's see where that takes us.
I think we should all back the new man to the hilt. Let's consolidate our position as a good, well run Community club, backed by vociferous, passionate and extremely good looking fans!
Farewell Dean. You are one of our own.
Welcome Phil. You are one of our own.
Always UTT!

Chairman and face of the club in its business dealings.. the money is from 'elsewhere'... Correct. The PR, local lad, the backing, however, comes from somewhere else Who would want to be a silent partner? Can probably narrow it down to one or two countries.

Doesn’t matter who’s in charge, once a town fan always a town fan! He and Dean and others will be in 'charge' of running the club to an amount of 'investment' from elsewhere.. suspect an investors man will be co opted... We are still in a good position to re enter the 'promised land' without running up debt the size of Mexico's.... Our present financial position being of 'great interest' around the world seems to infer that the Board has been accepted by an investor...clearly there will be a spread of financial 'risk', the amounts of which have already been decided and accepted.. It seems possible to sell without 'selling out'

Even if Dean has sold the club for 75% of what it owes him, he leaves the club with a substantial bank balance, and secure finances for 3 years.
Everybody needs to stop worrying about where the finances are coming from. If Dean wasn't selling were folk expecting him to keep pumping millions in? No. Of course they weren't, so why be critical of the new chairman over his lack of apparent wealth?

you have no idea about what money he has. let him get on with it you doomer I do know how much hes got ...and he not got a pot to piss in a accordion to Google. He has now! There's fucking loads of bogs in the stadium. Why don't you give the guy a chance? Now is the time to remember what Hoyle did for our club. There will be plenty of time to analyse the new ownership once decisions are made. Why be negative before anything of note has happened? It's bizarre.
