In response to that... 'not great, obviously'. However it would be awfully painstaking to moan about it every day until the name is changed. People are entitled to be unhappy about the new shirt sponsor without having every aspect of their morals questioned. I'm glad that some people have raised their concerns about this and it's good to have discussions about the club's activity. Well, I suspect that you don't spend much time on DATM Which is definitely not a criticism. I tend not to make a habit of it, no!

While not thrilled with Paddy Power as a sponsor,it is what it is, and I thought the video was rather good, and if you're offended by it you must have had a sense of humour bypass. At least we wont have Ray fucking Winstone having anything to do with us. UTT

If anyone is at the Phil Hodgkinson Q & A tonight I would love to know what he thinks of this video. Absolute disrespect to the town and club in my opinion, why does it need to be made into a joke? ‘Town are shit ho ho ho’ so don’t effing sponsor us then! 😡 they should show us some respect being our sponsor, if they aren’t proud to sponsor us then why bother. Do you honestly think a company would invest such a large sum to have their brand associated with a football team just for shits and giggles? That they don't think we're a well run club, with a decent team that has potential to showcase their brand (hopefully) at the top of the Championship? That perhaps they may have chance of sponsoring a Premier League side? Do you think having agreed to this PH is going to say publicly that he thinks its disgraceful on the day that it is launched? As for disrespecting 'the town'.... have a reality check. The BBC aired a docu-series not so long ago about asian drugs gangs running guns, I reckon that did more damage - don't you? Get a grip.

So a big green slab across the blue and white stripes. If so, that will look like a pile of shit.

Didn't the 80s Greenalls sponsor have their name written in Green on our strip ? Though I certainly cannot remember it looking shite and I am pretty sure it was not an Iron on patch.
MT, MT ?

But a big dirty green slab on a blue and white striped kit? Fuck that. I can picture how wrong it would look. Hope they alter it black and that would be alright, but Paddy Power and green is their brand...

Some of us aren’t elderly on here. However that was a shite one too, each to their own. Green writing in a white block doesn’t look as bad as a solid green box across blue and white stripes. Absolute eye sore

Absolute disgrace of a sponsor Terry the terrier should hang his head in shame. Sheer disrespect from Paddy power, how dare they suggest Huddersfield isn't famous for anything? Erm..hello.. Never heard of DJ smile?

Even the thing they come up with that Huddersfield is famous for is wrong. Patrick Stewart is a Mirfield boy!

Yeah, home and away in the relegation season, the big and the squares. Both had Greenalls in green on. The Joe Bloggs Prime Time kit from 2001-02 was a green logo too

F**k me theres some whinging thick b***ards on here.
National/Internationally recognised brand, massive users of Social Media and television advertising which will benefit us and we get comments like, "they're disrespecting us" and "but their badge is green". Grow up FFS.
I get the feeling some on here wouldn't be happy if they shat gold and pissed champagne.
The video is a bit of fun and probably takes the piss out of themselves more than it does us.
And If you think that video is bad you should see some of the stuff they put Ruby Walsh through.

I doubt that anyone who supports Town has ever gone and bought the service/goods/whatever advertised on our shirts when they wouldn't have otherwise ?, I cetainly haven't anyway. I don't really care what it says on the shirts (within reason) so long as it doesn't look really naff and the club are making some decent money out of it...
As a matter of interest, do Paddy Power sponosr any other clubs ?

The logo could potentially look perfectly fine in their branded colours with a blue and white striped kit, if a white background is engineered into the kit as for example Puma did with this one...(although I do prefer unbroken stripes, having a big subconscious H motif is a totally fine second choice rather than having a big stuck on patch to create the same effect)

High profile, miles better than OPEless, just a shame we will have got £1 mill and not the £5 mill it's surely worth in these mad times. So, what is Huddersfield famous for? More listed buildings outside London than anywhere except Oxford and Bath. The worlds finest, and i mean finest, fine worsteds. The world all wore Huddersfield cloth. Inventing modern tactical football, forming rugby league. James Mason, the worlds leading man in the years 45-47. Fish and chips, more great chippies than ANYWHERE. The water quality. Jake Mangelwurzel. Dean Hoyle. Derek Ibbotson. Wilf Lunn. Ernest Sykes VC...the list is endless. Add more guys and gals.

Let’s face it if he is offended by that video, then he is the wrong man to be chairman of this club.

Green looks shite on blue, their slanted logo will look shite on the shirt, their twitter banter is shite, but most of all their track record as a company is shite ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paddy_Power#Criticism ). Absolute ghouls who prey on and make a load profit from the vulnerable, and then break advertising standards laws for making fun of them (and many other things). I have strong opinions about gambling advertising but it seems to be a necessary evil in terms of shirt sponsorship at the moment, so I won't include this as an aspect of shiteness. While it's a big name that from a commercial sense is probably a bit of a coup, I can't hide my disappointment at having Paddy Power stuck on the front of my club's shirt.

If it’s the big green block then it won’t be getting bought. That kind of sponsor badge and style look so good
