If Keogh has been signed to play every minute of every game next season then keeping him is a terrible decision. If keeping him as a mentor means that he'll be encouraging the rest of the squad to drive pissed up and crash their cars, then it's a terrible decision. Campbell just runs around a lot. Definitely has no effect on opposition defences building an attack from the back because as we all know, defenders don't do that anyway, they just defend. Keeping him also means that we're definitely not going to sign any other strikers. No point keeping him as an alternative option or cover/competition for places. BacBenza? Keeping them is stupid. Of course, if we'd released them and they'd got a club elsewhere, the club would have been stupid to forego the transfer fee. Naturally, if they are sold then I definitely won't acknowledge that the club got it right. MaynardBlue has already clarified on here that Keogh will only a back-up next season with, hopefully, two new CBs coming in. He's apparently been very impressive behind the scenes and that's what the club is looking to develop. MB has also said that moves for Bacuna and Mbenza are already lined up. This is the trouble with attempting satire on modern-day DATM. No matter how daft you make it, it's still barely distinguishable from a sizeable proportion of the 'genuine' posts!

So contracts for Ward and Keogh and possibly Rhodes. Just got an email from Talk of the Town with the headline ‘register your interest in walking football’ Coincidence?

No problem with Campbell staying. He's a solid quality player who loves the place. What I don't understand is combining him with Rhodes. We'll have two strikers over 30, plus Ward who now seems injury prone. Hardly a strike force to build a team around. Ward will be 30 in December also. We could really do with a striker with a turn of pace that can give us another option that's either a youngster on loan or someone like Dion Charles who's coming into his prime on the back of a good season. Might be wrong but I thought he was already 30?
