how many tickets have we been allocated ?, you have to leave spaces between parties in the seats. and the away open end looks tiny.

I think we've got in the region of 1600-1800 tickets - looking forward to seeing Town maybe playing in a new strip, who knows!?

Anyone who's been to Southport before, where's a good spot to park not too far from the ground?

Anyone got any idea when the Derby tickets may go on sale? Given that they haven't even put season tickets on sale yet,I wouldn't hold your breath.

Anyone who's been to Southport before, where's a good spot to park not too far from the ground? As a former wagon driver whose delivered in Southport, leave the M58 motorway on the A570, through Ormskirk and into Southport, you’ll come across the ground and there’s plenty of chances to park up within sight of the ground on side roads near to it. Follow it to the end and the main street in the town centre is Lord Street, by the marina with shops and pubs etc but it’s a fair walk to the ground, it did use to be a nice city centre but I think it’s quite run down nowadays and certainly not what it was in its heyday.

Anyone who's been to Southport before, where's a good spot to park not too far from the ground? Park in the Tesco Kew car park. You get 3 hours free parking. Google maps has it 0.9 mile/19 minutes to walk but a bit less if you park at the auto car wash side (not the hand wash) and go towards the BP garage when you leave.

Sorry, absolutley no, and no, and I know that area in detail. The drive into and through Ormskirk on a Saturday (market day) is very slow. Best route is to keep on the M58 to the end (Junction 1). Stay in the far right lane to take the A59 North (Ormskirk/Preston) then branch off left onto the A5147 (Southport). At the end bear left onto the A570 and keep going until you get to Tesco. Take the left slip road by the petrol prices sign and park in there at the diagonally opposite corner to where you come in near the auto car wash - see my previous post. If you want a shorter walk then there is plenty of on street car parking, as the poster says nearer the ground, but Tesco does have a decent cafe to refresh/kill some time and there is a pub, on the left, as you walk from Tesco towards the ground.

Or Nip up the M6 to J27, left on the A5209 towards Parbold and Burscough then cut across the B roads 5242 to Scarisbrick and then approach Southport down the 570 again As above…avoid Ormskirk bottle neck.

And don't forget time taken by all the autographs Maynard will have to sign when them hanging round tescos with binoculars catch up with him

They've changed it since I posted it. It also mentioned sanatizing on entry, wearing masks in the toilet (maybe not a bad thing ) etc.

That is a viable route but slower with long stretches of windy country roads. If you take it watch your speed going down Parbold Hill. It is a 30 and you have to brake hard to stick to 30 and there is a speed camera near the bottom that is one of the most profitable in the country!!

Yes, agreed, but from where I am it’s the preferred way, not busy and I can go in the Hop Vine in Burscough

Always found the people of Burscough to be somewhat insular but enjoy that pub, couple of decent spots in the wharf now too.
