Yes, agreed, but from where I am it’s the preferred way, not busy and I can go in the Hop Vine in Burscough Very good boozer is the Hop Vine. Always found the people of Burscough to be somewhat insular but enjoy that pub, couple of decent spots in the wharf now too. Thanks for the heads up, just had a look and looks worth a visit. Next door neighbour was from Burscough and called in a couple of times but like many places, I haven’t been for a couple of years and it’s not somewhere you pass through generally…which is why people from Burscough are a bit insular probably

Fleetwood Latest"Away supporters: Away supporters tickets will be sold by Huddersfield Town, with details to be published by them in due course, priced at: Seating (Parkside blocks F AND G) Adults: £10 Concessions / U25 £5 Juniors U16: £1 Standing (Percy Ronson Stand): Adults: £10 Concessions / U25 £5 Juniors U16: £1" www.fleetwoodtownfc.com/news/2021/july/ticket-information-huddersfield-town-h/ Is this a first team friendly? It isn't listed on the first team pre-season fixtures page, unless I am missing something? £10 for the U23s seems like quite a lot.

Tickets for our friendly against Fleetwood are being sold by Leeds United not Town? Got to be a typo surely? www.fleetwoodtownfc.com/news/2021/july/ticket-information-for-huddersfield-town-friendly/"Tickets for Huddersfield Town friendly now on sale Away supporters Away supporters’ tickets will be sold by Leeds United, with details to be published by them in due course, priced at: Seating (Parkside blocks E, F, and G) Adults: £10 Concessions / Under-25s: £5 Under-16s: £1 Standing (Percy Ronson Stand): Adults: £10 Concessions / Under-25s: £5 Under-16s: £1"

It doesn't look as though anyone is keeping the website up to date at the moment, apparently we are still playing Crewe on 31st :-) Poor show really because changing it would be a 5 minute job. Good job that DATM provides up to date information!

Hi guys looking forward to the game on Saturday even though it's a friendly. So just a couple of helpful points for anyone staying overnight . Lots of pubs restaurants and bars in the town centre but would advise pre booking tables for restaurants as Friday and Saturday nights can get busy . The office bar and restaurant would be my personal recommendation. Lots of pubs in town most are family friendly. The ground is a good 30 - 45 min walk from town so would advise taxis ( shouldn't be more then £5/£6 ) . There are 3 local pubs to the ground . The old duke ( 15 minute walk ) the Richmond ( 10 minute walk ) and the thatch and thistle ( 5 minute walk) . There is also a local McDonald's next to the old duke and a tesco supermarket. In terms of the ground not sure if the clubhouse will be open but if it is away fans more than welcome . Also not sure if alcohol will be for sale in the ground but I'm sure the club will provide more details Thursday or Friday. Have a safe journey weather forecast looks like it could be a heat so bring some sunnies and enjoy the weekend . Hope this helps

Hi mate There is on street parking outside the ground and on local roads but some restrictions are in place so please check before hand as roads are regularly patrolled. Alot of fans home and away park in the thatch and thistle car park and walk down but again this does get busy . Depending on what time you get to the ground you should be able to park local to the ground without too many problems

Not heard of any of those restaurants I'm not going to lie haha . There are plenty to choose from . Hope you all have a safe journey and enjoy the weekend . How many town fans are likely to make the trip ? Current Restrictions mean less tickets available for both home and away fans but Blackpool brought roughly 500 last weekend so will be great to see a simularp number of town fans

This match is being played under Stage 5 protocols and as such some restrictions / guidance is in place and we asked all spectators to pay attention to these.
Huddersfield Spectators should access the stadium via Turnstiles 1-6 All spectators are encouraged to take an NHS lateral flow test within 48 hours of the match and only attend if negative. Anyone displaying symptoms of Covid 19 should not attend the match. All spectators are asked to sanitise their hands upon entry and make use of the many sanitising units around the stadium. We ask that mask are worn when entering the toilets. All spectators are reminded of the need to maintain 1 metre social distancing on the terrace and when queuing for refreshments and toilets. Under the current stage 5 legislation alcohol will not be on sale anywhere within the ground. The club house will be closed before, during and after the match Our programme for the game on Saturday will include the original 1978 programme from our last ever home game in the Football League, re issued after 43 years, and believed to be the first time ever an original programme of that age has ever been reissued.
They will be available from the turnstiles and our Club Shop for just £1. ....................................................................................................
is everyone having a drink in town then legging it to the ground, or trying to get to a pub near the ground. the pubs anywhere near close look like eateries. not down to earth boozers.

No news about Derby tickets,
No news about Fleetwood tickets,
No explanation about things like this on the website,
Confusion over what's the best telephone number to ring is, when you try to ring them,
Long delays for someone to pick up the phone when you ring,
Staff trying to fob you off when you ask basic questions, rather than taking responsibility to find out.
Are they missing Sue?

Are they missing Sue? Can't comment on the other stuff but I wouldn't have thought the lack of news on Derby tickets is the club's fault. It's less than 4 weeks to the opening game and there's no news yet on season tickets for Derby fans, never mind individual match tickets (except the Man Utd friendly on Saturday).

I went to Southport, Haig Avenue, for a Div.4 league game towards the end of 1978, we drew in front of less than 1,500 fans, over half were in the away end - it wasn’t a great time to be a Town fan, mind you even worse for Southport, it was their 50th year as a FL club but despite finishing above Rochdale they failed to win re-election, the last team to do so. For those old fogies, like me that still remember, Town had John Haselden as manager, Nottingham Forest won the league title, the season after getting promoted, Wimbledon had just joined the FL, Spurs got promoted and Man U set a new transfer record to buy Gordon McQueen I was there too the terrace was very sandy

Jusy tried to by tickets for the Southport today in the seats and it wouldn't let me select any of the green seats on the Southport Website.
Tried to do it without selecting any but it wouldn't have that either.
Anyone else had a similar issue?

I think due to Social distancing and having to leave gaps, the seated stand is nearly sold out, try selecting b93. that goes yellow. not that you want one seat on its own. away standing available.

A family I know in the Southport/Ormskirk area are very ill with COVID despite being double-jabbed and U-60. For anyone who thinks COVID is an old-person's disease or that it is just like bad flu, this is an informative read: www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-57840825 . Take care and stay safe.

Yes, this is because they are keeping about half the seats free for social-distancing and most of the remaining green dots in the away end are those seats. If you are prepared to travel without your colours and keep your head down there are still seats in the home end.

I noticed loads of grey ones on the map. I presumed they would have been the 'gaps' and green ok to buy. I clicked load but never got a a yellow one. Will have another look today and if not just go standing behind the goal

Best dig out some Stone Island, just in case like.

I don’t want to get into an argument or fall out but are you saying you know a family from Southport with Covid and for that reason you wouldn’t go to a football game there ? If you are then I genuinely feel for you, it must be terrible that the last 18 months or so has had such a negative and frightening effect on you, take care and stay safe is fine but you are going to have to live with COVID, it’s not going away, ever, so take care and stay safe while going to the football and getting on with life with a degree of normality, the alternative is not very palatable. There’s literally a million and one things that will potentially kill you or reduce your life expectancy, from driving a car, drinking, smoking, eating a burger and staying out in the sunshine - you can do all of them as part of taking in the game at Southport, lots of people will do.
