It's not a case of the football encouraging the fans...the fans need to step up and drive the team...starting with the self-annointed Cowshed Loyal/South Stand...man up or give up. I don't quite get the logic of solving the lack of noise issue by telling people making some noise to stop making noise.

This is a culmination of the past 4 seasons. We have lost belief and we need a spark to ignite the passion. Until we all have something to believe in the atmosphere will understandably struggle. Look at Barnsley last week, great numbers but hardly bouncing compared to the promotion season. The undercurrent is negative and despite the efforts of the guys in the south stand until we have something to really believe in. The promotion season showed the potential of our club. That wasn't a moment in time it was true potential, potential that those in charge didn't really embrace and build on. I have said many times belief costs absolutely nothing. We need people in charge who have that mindset and get back to the #nolimits ethos. Do that and you'll see a club with a first class support, as was witnessed in the recent past. Excellent summary of where we are. It’s going to take a complete reboot of the club once we have new owners.

The lowest crowd I've seen for a league game in a long time. Not that I blame anyone when the football is as dull as that. Eh,there was over sixteen thousand there. under 10k I reckon

I was really surprised by the low turn out from Town fans today. Me too. I couldn’t believe how empty the ground was with just 10 minutes to go to kick off. Expected to see a massive influx of people at the last minute but this did just not happen.

We’re missing the bigger picture here, I think it was very public spirited of Town fans not to sing and shout today. There’s a new variant around you know and singing and shouting only helps with the spreading of the virus. After all that gormless Scottish bint tells us there’ll soon be a tsunami of infections. Well done Town fans today, hang your heads in shame Cov fans

Maybe a few didn't realise it was an early kick-off... What was more embarrassing than our lack of atmosphere, was the silence from their lot once we went in front. Strange post, I thought the Coventry fans were 2nd only to Forest this season in terms of noise. Town didn't sing today despite leading for most of the game, we were at home ffs

Carlos doesn’t.

If you go to the games and are moaning about a lack of atmosphere from the south stand, why don’t you go in there yourself and try to improve it?
I go in the South Stand when I get to games mainly because I like standing up all match. But frankly, our repertoire of chants is embarrassing. Barely anything unique and some just plain odd (I’m sure telling Lewis he looks like Ron Weasley really gets him playing for the shirt). The rest of them are generally Celtic rip offs.
The songs have gone downhill for a while now. Can’t remember the last time I heard ‘those were the days’.
That said, at least they give it a good go (even if they become annoying facing the crowd like some kind of PCP addled conductor mid-psychosis). Not much worse than someone taking snide pot shots from another stand. Doesn’t achieve much.

Some even stare at you for singing. It's becoming like the other stands now.

I used to love singing "sweet Molly Malone" "Waltz in the cowshed" etc maybe we should put the words on here ?

It certainly worked for quite a few season, no1 can take that away from them, end of the day people have paid to be entertained, and that is not happening very often at the moment.

Wagner fired the crowd up. He engaged with us. Carlos doesn’t. Didn't he completely blank the Carlos give us a chant last week? Simple thing but enough to reinforce the distance between himself and the fans. Has he ever issued a rallying cry to us fans? He's so engrossed in the technical side that he seems oblivious to us lot.

The fans are fed up. Who are you to say man up or give up? I'm nobody. It's an opinion that's all. If they cant be arsed I think they should give up. It's distinctly quiet in the ground...and one group have lately taken responsibility for the atmosphere.

The atmosphere was poor
But football for last few months dull, negative, boring - making the style under Chris Powell look exciting!
Carlos’ snooze football makes it hard to stay awake never mind cheer!
I’m surprised so many are still watching not surprised at all how few turned up

He's so engrossed in the technical side that he seems oblivious to us lot. Watched second half on TV today (was away yesterday, did intend getting back in time to get down to watch the second half, but 45mins worth of queuing traffic from Brighouse junction to back home (normally sub 10mins) paid for that) - there was one moment where he was ranting and arm-whirling at Toffolo, who looked very confused, and seemed to just ignore him - I got the impression that CC was telling him to get wider or something to cut out a potential pass to their guy. Without him having moved...Cov attack less than 2 seconds later, and Toffolo was PERFECTLY placed to cut it out! Its embarrassing. I know we like to see some enthusiasm, but Robins looked much more in control and had a team who knew what they were doing that he largely let get on with doing it...and it made his occasional rants more powerful as a result.

All I'm saying is that if they can't bd arsed then that's fair enough. I know Scoffa is no longer here to lead the singing but perhaps someone else can step up when the team are being shite...ideally without any women having to hide away.

It's distinctly quiet in the ground...and one group have lately taken responsibility for the atmosphere. What on earth do you mean by 'give up' though ??! Are you suggesting because one section of the ground doesnt make noise that satisfies you, they should all instead stay at home and play on their Xbox's, whilst the rest of the stadium thats making even less noise carries on attending in silence? There's nothing magical or special about the South Stand mob, not everyone is in there *BECAUSE* they want to shout at full volume for 90mins, some are there because they want to stand up whilst watching football. I'm not happy with the amount of moaning from the Riverside stand and reckon they should 'give up'. I don't know what they're giving up though. 🤔🤷♂️😆

'Give up' what specifically?? Self evident surely? Obviously not, otherwise I wouldn't be asking. WHAT are you asking the South Stand people should give up? Give up even attempting to make any noise, a bit like the rest of the ground? Give up standing up, a bit like the rest of the ground? Give up the South Stand and go and sit somewhere else, so that away fans can have a bit more legroom? Give up and stay at home? Something else??
