Yes I know it was another disappointing performance and result but today's atmosphere was awful.
What the hell has happened to the South Stand. The lads at the front are fantastic as ever but the rest of the stand with the odd exception are as mute as the rest of the ground.
The atmosphere in the last few seasons seems to have evaporated. The Coventry fans nailed it on the head when mocking us.
Depressing times.

The lowest crowd I've seen for a league game in a long time.
Not that I blame anyone when the football is as dull as that.

It's not a case of the football encouraging the fans...the fans need to step up and drive the team...starting with the self-annointed Cowshed Loyal/South Stand...man up or give up.

Not quite sure what people are supposed to cheer. The atmosphere was great under Wagner, even when we weren’t winning at the start, because there was work rate, desire and a no limits approach. Carlos is all about limits. It’s frankly boring.

That reads a bit harsh on the Cowshed Loyal mids; if they hadn’t made any efforts over the last few years we’d have no atmosphere at all! Although I don’t get to games much, I would argue it’s a cyclical process - the team plays well and gets the fans backing which is turn fires the players up.

I would cut them some slack if they had started off the game with some volume, and then lost some enthusiasm due to the football on the pitch. But there was virtually nothing. Not even the Coventry fans could goad them into any significant noise. Nor the early goal. Very poor. PS. I'm in the Kilner and I rely on the SS to start singing, as otherwise I'm doing a solo.

Football on the pitch was drab at Barnsley too, but there was a lot of singing until they equalised. Admittedly not much afterwards. If the SS are fit for purpose, then it should be akin to a reasonable away following. Half the Barnsley volume would have been a start given respective numbers.

This is a culmination of the past 4 seasons. We have lost belief and we need a spark to ignite the passion.
Until we all have something to believe in the atmosphere will understandably struggle.
Look at Barnsley last week, great numbers but hardly bouncing compared to the promotion season.
The undercurrent is negative and despite the efforts of the guys in the south stand until we have something to really believe in.
The promotion season showed the potential of our club. That wasn't a moment in time it was true potential, potential that those in charge didn't really embrace and build on. I have said many times belief costs absolutely nothing. We need people in charge who have that mindset and get back to the #nolimits ethos. Do that and you'll see a club with a first class support, as was witnessed in the recent past.

The fans don’t believe in this style of football, that’s the reason for the bad atmosphere. It’s dull, negative, and boring. Every game is the same, unless we change the manager the crowds and atmosphere will continue to suffer.

Of course, fair comment, but I think apathy has set in after a few hard years. There needs to be a spark of something from the pitch, maybe a ‘cult hero’ to latch onto again to get songs going? Performances drive attendances drive atmosphere etc. I don’t go much but I miss it like mad, and the away days. We need a Bully, a Cowan, a Rocket Ronnie to new a few from recent years (being my age) to fire a few bellies.

Out-thought, out-fought and very much out-sung.
Coventry fans were excellent today both before and after they went behind. We had no reply either on the pitch or in the stands.
Sadly for us they absolutely deserved that late equaliser.

Observation rather than criticism, having the hardcore fans down at the front makes no sense to me, what set of away fans ever do that when they come to us? Probably less of a issue when it’s going good. Also if you pass a breathalyser test you don’t get in the south stand 😂

Maybe a few didn't realise it was an early kick-off...
What was more embarrassing than our lack of atmosphere, was the silence from their lot once we went in front.

I don’t think the fans have ever really taken to Carlos - not being in the stadiums last season certainly didn’t help - or his style of play. That’s it in a nutshell there.

It's embarrassing football game after game with almost no entertainment. The fact people are paying to watch this garbage is impressive.
Coventry showed how to play entertaining football despite being one of the favourites to go down. They win some and lose some but when I have seen them its been good to watch.
There is no way they would be scoring after 18 minutes and then hoping to hold on for a 1-0. In fact I'm not sure any team would be. It's pitiful and embarrassing especially at home. Good luck to anyone braving the weather over Christmas to sit through that.

Watched it free on Hesgoal & was bored silly , boring boring , backwards , sideways , back to goalkeeper , Turned off just after half time ! then off & on again , when Pearson missed that header , Predicted it would be 1-1 with 5 minutes to go
