Saying we have not spent owt not quite true
We will have had to pay a fee for kasumu due to age
We have reported to have payed 600k for Rudoni potential to rise to 1m
We have allegedly bid for Simms
We need to use some/most of the incoming transfer fees to keep club afloat but our model is try buy cheap and sell big
One day we will sell for big money like Brentford did with Watkins etc and be able to afford to invest a bit more like they did with toney just gotta let the model start working Brentford were not overnight although we nearly did that last year.
I do agree with most we need a striker but don't need to "blow our brains out " to quote a not so great philosopher 😜
Getting this right could generate the club the big money as generally these are the players that demand the biggest fees.

If we are going to generate money through buying and selling players you are correct the area to do this is with Strikers. We on the other hand have been bringing in front players who are over 30 and are heading towards football playing retirement and with no sell on value. I hear that we are looking to follow the Brentford model but we are still working out the logistics and it is easier bringing back ex-players because we can't afford the scouting network. From blowing all of the premier league and parachute payment money we seem to have turned the corner our purchases. I just hope as I am sure that we all do the current crop turn out to be successful. Note we only bought one ex-player so we may be learning. |
