Just looking back at the goals on Youtube. Russell is such a passenger that he might as well have his bag in tow, he bloody well runs like it.

I think the other reflection I have from last night is the team selection. Schofield is a new manager and clearly does not know his best XI. He was no way in the position of having the luxury of blooding youngsters and making wholesale changes because it's a cup game - he should have been using it as a means to getting closer to a settled side. It felt as though he rotated the squad so heavily because he felt it is the done thing. Extremely naïve. But without rotating he won't know his best XI cos the sides we've put out in the league games have also been crap. I'd grant you that but the one thing to take from the first two games is that Rudoni and Anjorin are our best prospects, so why rotate them in then out again? It's daft.

All we'll get now is him reverting back to the side he's played in the league (who have actually only lost by the odd goal, unlike last night which should have realistically been 6 or 7). At least if he'd have picked what he considers to be his first 11 last night it would have given them an extra game to possibly gel. The only thing he might have gleaned from last night was maybe stick Camara in for Russell.

Danny’s post match interview worries me. He obviously cares deeply but he doesn’t strike me as someone who could inspire a dressing room. He’s probably well liked as a coach but lacks gravitas. We can’t get away with trying to do things on the cheap player wise and on the coaching side. Hoyle needs to act now. We are a good club who I’m confident could attract a good young manager. The guy from Milton Keynes would be ideal.

From the Examiner:
Ryan [Lowe] mentioned in his press conference and there were comments from spectators after the Burnley game about the length of the grass, do you get a say in that? DS: "Yeah, I'm not aware that it was an issue, the length of the grass."
What is anybody really moaning about the length of the grass? That's the least of our worries

Rambo summed up last night at HT. "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. So we'll go and do the draw" My mothers favourite saying (not the draw bit)

Jordan worked his arse off and 2 great finishes. We gave him some support at 60 minutes, up to then he was very much on his own. Brodie Spencer did fine, looks physically able to cope now, so one for the near future there. We started with 9 men and it cost us in the gap between the front and the middle and back. The backwards look everytime we get it, costs us everytime. Preston are same division and can leave men wide and up the pitch whereas we dont or cant and we are constantly chasing and miles from the ball. The opposition walk off their marker and collect balls into feet unhindered and the wide players have time to control the ball and move forward everytime. We didnt support the ball till too late in the game and the impression for 90% of it was that they had at least 2 more players than us. Boyle might need more time, I think Im being optimistic. Russell looked slower than against Burnley. First things first on Saturday, we have to commit fully to match or better the stoke workrate, the rest will never follow until we do and we cant start with 9 again. Which one of Holmes and Koroma played themselves into a shirt for Saturday ? Wee bit unfair, Im a Town fan, I wanted them to be playing for the start on Saturday. I dont want to be continually disappointed by either of them. In a sparse crowd there were enough there who should have gone somewhere else instead. It aint good for them other than being able to say 'I told you so', which is usually a very hollow victory.

Strange post. Was he contracted to Huddersfield Town? Did he walk out on us? Did he quit? What do/did you do for a job Thomas? (Other than getting kicked in by away fans thinking you were hard) You anwered my 3 questions with an unrelated question. What is your eye colour?

It's sad. Football is a simple game. Press as a team, be well-organized and use the ball intelligently when you have it. All things which Fulham, a team we beat comfortably on their own patch a few short months ago, did brilliantly in drawing with one of the best teams in the world at the weekend. Once the heads go down, you're up against it. I can't see us turning it around against Chadders' lot. Another hiding may be on the cards. I don't remember us winning comfortable at Fulham,a battling defensive display against a team much better than us.One of the many wins that was typical of last season. We scored two good goals and managed the game well. Could have scored a couple more before they got a lucky break of the ball to pull one back. The last few minutes was squeaky bum I'll grant you, but we more than matched them for most of the game and deserved to win.

Actually it wasn't unrelated, but I shouldn't be surprised that you failed to recognise that. I refused to answer your loaded question because you were using it as a means of which to accuse CC of some sort of cowardice, which is simply not the case.

First Emma Raducanu collapsing and heading for tennis oblivion, and now Town doing the sane. What an evening. Yes.But Camila Georgi is a bloody good player{and fit as a butchers dog as well} Radacanu is a 1 hit wonder in my opinion we have better than her in the UK

When was the last time we had a lower attendance for a competitive game? Notts County in 2015? (a season we needed 8 games before getting a win - Chris Powell lasted until November).

A couple of the people we were with telling me I only thought that because of her ethnicity. Despite sitting next to my half Chinese girlfriend Although we're not still together so maybe I'm subconsciously racist?

I want to ask is there anyone on this site who can shed any light on what Danny’s tactics are ? I have watched all 3 games carefully and I have no idea what he is trying to achieve. We don’t press, we don’t try and hit on the break, we don’t use width, what is it we’re trying to do ? Anyone ? Defensively we are utterly shambolic - any cross into the box just gets stroked in with barely a challenge. Boyle was abysmal tonight - who decided he was better than Sarr ? Lees looks lost without Pearson. Two home games and in both we have given the left backs the freedom of the park- with no attempt from Schofield to change things - no lessons learnt. This really does not bode well. I reckon we will be bottom after 8 games and then bring in a new manager and this time (unlike the Cowleys and some great loan signings) it will be too late as I have no confidence that Hoyle intends to spend a penny until he gets his money back. It’s so depressing. There was only one positive tonight - I thought Etienne Camara had a promising start and totally outshone Russell who continues to stroll around looking lost. Obviously Anjorin is a lone shining light but on his own it’s not enough. Finally why no minutes for Danny Grant or Pat Jones ? We were desperate for some pace and creativity and yet he brings on full backs and centre backs when we’re getting stuffed. Absolutely clueless. Hoyle should hang his head in shame for putting Danny in this position as he’s very clearly not ready for management. We’re doomed, doomed I tell you…….. Interesting that no one has yet spotted what Danny is trying to do, even my namesake Steven in his Examiner column can’t work out what (or why) we are trying to achieve. Are we all missing the master plan or (more likely) there isn’t one to see - or one the players understand or are capable of carrying out ?

A waste of an evening and an 80 mile round trip. In that first half, I can't recall in seeing a more inept defensive display from Town in my 60 years of watching them (didn't go to Maine Road under Macdonald).

First team, on a long unbeaten run, confidence high. Incredibly inept and lack lustre defensive displays. Easy to forget you were watching a makeshift side with brand new and younger members. Last season the minute everyone wasnt pulling in the same direction or grafting as hard, we were in trouble. Hard to cover for those not giving enough? Its a tough division where even the most talented teams get caught if some of its members are not at it.

Are we all missing the master plan or (more likely) there isn’t one to see - or one the players understand or are capable of carrying out ? In his post match interview he repeatedly says he wants players to win their headers and compete for the second ball - sadly it would appear such basic skills that 10 year olds can master are beyond our lads this season Changing the manager won't impact players not being good enough (Boyle and Mahoney) or lacking the commitment to win a ball when they may get hurt doing so. Case in point aside from Kasumu tweaking his hamstring has one player needed the physio in 270 minutes this season? I guess you don't need to when you tin put of every 50/50 header, stand off every tackle and never run faster than a jogging pace!

Thought Nicholls and Camara played well, Rhodes didn't play badly and was made to look worse by having no support. Everyone else in my opinion was poor. Full backs didn't get close to wingers. Boyle looked very poor. Russell stood still. Koroma did look like he tried but has no confidence and looks like he has absolutely nothing in him. Mahoney none existent as well as Holmes.
I'd love to see the running stats for last night because with or without the ball we just didn't move. We don't close down, track back or get forward. If we have the ball we don't move in to space and just stand waiting for a pass which leads to the player with the ball passing back or waiting that long for someone to make themselves available they lose it.

3-0. Fuck off Hoyle! Ban me I really don't care! Anyone who thinks he's doing all he can for this club is deluded! His shit decisions are the reason why we are where we are. £350m+ pissed up the wall with shit signings. Fuck off Hoyle! Why don’t you fuck off ay? How the Fuck corberan gets a fucking pass here is a joke . Tapped up and fucked off . Had a job to do given a contract leaves 3 weeks before season . It’s not 350 million so your plucking numbers out your arse . That money is there so we don’t go fuckin bust. Sick to death of fucking morons such as yourself spouting negative bollox . 12 years of championship football 2 in prem. Fucking entitled bollox. The level of insidious shit spouted by fans such as yourself can fuck off coz you Twats will ensure town go back to the dark days . If you go to the game and slag off Hoyle then I would please like you to stay the fuck away . You’ll be sending us back to the old days of shite . Write a list of the achievements of the club since Hoyle versus the last 30 years then come back and tell me he should Fuck off . Utter fucking shite you lot spout At this rate the dark days are round the corner. Forest Green here we come. Dean has gone with the cheap option in every department this season and it’s massively backfiring so far. Toxic round the club, won’t be many come December time in the stands if this is the football on offer. Good luck to him though on his experiment, I will be fucking it off for family day outings soon
