We should employ him as part-time motivational/arse kicking coach. Brilliant - Neil Warnock Club role: Arse kicking coach! Pay him piece rate per kicking!

I went fly fishing once. I was shite at it. Every time I cast my rod and reeled it back in there was a fish on the end of it. I didn't catch a single fly all day! Bdum tssh Is that a Les Dawson rehash? Certainly sounds like something he'd come up with. Made it up myself. I'm a comedy genius.

Last season I was disappointed with a draw in this fixture. Not only would I snatch a draw (deserved or otherwise) with both hands, I'd actually be happy with a loss but something we can hang our hats on. A decent performance. Or even a bang average performance. Just stop being utterly abject. Sadly, unless something changes I'm in no doubt that we are going to get bummed in the gob a few times this season and I would not be at all surprised if this Saturday was the first absolute hiding of the season. If 1-4 at home against PNE doesn’t fit that category, I’d hate to think how many you are expecting Stoke to bag I was thinking league games, but yeah. TBF I'm expecting them to beat us comfortably without getting out of 2nd gear, but at some stage I expect we'll be up against someone with the bit between their teeth. Put it this way, I felt we played better in that game when Norwich put 7 past us than we did vs Burnley.

I am going off for a fishing weekend so will miss the game, and all the drama that goes with it. UTT. town to win 2-0 I went fly fishing once. I was shite at it. Every time I cast my rod and reeled it back in there was a fish on the end of it. I didn't catch a single fly all day! That's a classic gag line.

Well decided to go tomorrow, let’s hope we do the business, we can’t control what happens on and off the pitch but at the end of the day I am a supporter so will give them my backing. Here’s hoping for 3 points!!

The important thing is to show tangible improvement.
If we lose, but manage to get to the 20 minute mark without conceding that would be encouraging.

Going to be a hot one tomorrow, cue the caterers running out of soft drinks by 2.15. Town to win 2-1.

It's the 4-4-2 that's killing us. We were rock solid with 3 at the back last season. 4-4-2 needs 2 cracking full backs (Turton & Ruffles, fuck me) and a really strong centre mid 2 (Hogg & Russell, fuck me).
Recipe for disaster what DS is doing ... Oh, hang on a minute ...

Recipe for disaster what DS is doing ... Oh, hang on a minute ... I've never given up on a manager as soon as 4 games, and thought people were calling it far too soon to get rid after Birmingham. But if he plays 4-4-2 again and we have a dreadful first half again, he's lost my trust. Time to go back to basics, a deep sitting back 3 like last season. I'd go for a 3-5-2 as both Rhodes and Ward have emerged with some credit so far, while none of our wide players have. Nicholls REG Lees Yuta Turton Tino Hogg Rudoni Ruffels Rhodes Ward

People are saying performance over result, I'd say the opposite, we need a result & points on the board. Think back to the Preston game last season, terrible performance but a result that we badly needed.

2-0 to Town and a much improved performance. Or, same as the last three games and DS on his way very shortly.

This game is about the result
Performances are for pre season. I don't care if we are awful but manage a narrow win and gives us a platform to build on.
We need to use a back 3... We are not mobile enough for a flat back 4. Often getting caught out as REG not at the pace as yet.
Ask the wing backs to give us the width and for Russell to be supported by Hogg and Rudoni.
Nicholls
KHH
Turton Lees Yuta
Jackson
Hogg Russell Rudoni

Well the players have been back six weeks now, so fitness shouldn’t be an issue. I do believe it was in the first two games.
We need to start aggressively, stoke will also try do that.
Nichols Turton Lees Nak Ruffells(no one else) Hogg
Thomas Rudhoni anjorin
Rhodes ward
If Holmes or koroma get anywhere near the starting 11, then we have no chance.
Subs Chapman, Boyle, Camara (no other midfield option) Holmes, Grant KKH, Rowe
Dropped Russell and Koroma. Thomas would be as well but we don’t have any other options.
Dreadfully short on attacking options. Woefully short of midfield options.
Hudds 0 - 1 Stoke
Dire game with no shots on target.

Almost dreading today 😬 Could be a watershed game: lose again and we spiral out of control, draw and start a period of slow recovery.

I think Danny needs to stick his own brand on Town if he is to keep the job past September break (if this is his deadline), at the moment it looks so disjointed & wayward, not that any experienced manager would have a quick fix solution either......hoping for a win but would take a draw..1-1 small steps..UTT.

We need to go back to three CBs. Start the new lad on loan as RWB and give Jackson a go at LWB as I have zero faith in Ruffels.

Astonished we haven’t brought another central midfield option in - assume we are trying and it’ll be worth the wait…
League tougher, 24 teams not 18 in it, our squad still too weak
Eiting couldn’t get on the bench at Wembley… 3 months later the squads so much weaker / 1 injury we have an untested Camara as our only available back up option
After that we’re into square peg round hole territory
