Enjoyed the game today, Liversedge won 2-1 but Glossop can consider themselves to be a bit unlucky not to get a replay. Refreshing to see no fannying about at the back whatsoever by either team. My first ever non-league northern game, seen probably a couple hundred in the Isthmian league and NLS and it definitely had a different feel to it. Good afternoon out.
And Sutton United won again.

I didn't know they were at home today other wise i would have gone to watch the mighty Sedge, they might kick on in the league now and the next visit will be when they play F C United Of Manchester.

Yes, going down to the Sedge for cup day!! Are the DATM contingent responsible for the massive Liversedge flag? I'd say no,I don't think they all follow Town

It will all end in tears with the money they spent on getting promoted in first place.

Went ahead twice but collapsed second half. Fitness & concentration are certainly issues.
Sad to see crowds dwindling, but people want to see a successful team. Probably a step too far for them.

Sedge are like the Town, did brilliantly to get promoted last season but are struggling in what in reality is a league too high. Not helped by the fact that main sponsor who bankrolled them last season has walked away leaving them with a smaller budget to compete at a higher level. Marske on the other hand have thrown even more money at staying up hence their good start. Hard for Sedge to compete with teams like FC United who rock up on Tuesday night and South Shields who average over 2000 for each home game. Bit like Town when we got into Premier League though, everybody deserves their chance!!!!

I didnt realsie their main cash source had gone, thats a complete surprise, the amount of money needed to be competitive even at this level is surprising, not to mention ground requirements and certain criteria etc.

Some poor fell had fallen down the steps and had cracked his head open while the numpties were attacking the Manchester fans, one thing is for certain the young gob shites won't go over to Manchester when they play them over there, not a good advert for Liversedge or none league football.

Theres a group who started watching Liversedge a couple of years ago home and away whao have earned a bit of a reputation, a mixture of Town and Bradford city fans decided to stop going to league games and start going to watch Liversedge instead, they aren't young either, no idea wether tbey were involved or not.

trouble certainly happens in non league, seen it a few times, last season a group of young Bradford city fans attacked a York city fan leaving him in hospital.

Same old, same old. Competitive until the last 20mins, miss a penalty at 0-1 then collapse.
Pity about the trouble, didn't see it myself but the two sets of fans seemed to be getting on well in the cowshed from what I saw. Manure much louder.

Apparently Liversedge are more successful away.
They still have expensive players on the books. Cartman and Walshaw have been Stafford bogeymen for years.
Anything could happen.

Looks like the damage was done in the second half again. This is becoming far too familiar - a fitness issue or psychological?
