I'm going to get crucified for this.....but here goes. On a forum for Huddersfield Town the Transfer thread gets moved off the main page because it doesn't interest everyone (I know it's now got its own subpage) but surely a page for towns transfers, true rumours and bullsh#t has more place on the main Huddersfield town page than a thread about Liversedge football club. This is the reason I don't post maybe change the board name to Batley and spen town supporters.you could then move all town related things to sub boards and keep the main page for all things Liversedge and Cleckheaton. Or maybe you just don’t click on the one thread relating to it and stick to every other post on the main board which are town related, what a novel idea that would be I'm a hypocrite in the respect I've said exactly the same thing to the people that complained about the transfer thread being on the main page. BUT if people did what you're telling me to do then Huddersfield and Liversedge threads could happily co-exist on the same page surely?

Minority on here maybe, but there's a helluva lot of Town fans who come from Liversedge and there's certainly a lot more on here than those who originate from Newcastle, for whom there is currently a 36 page thread on the main page.

Why don't Liversedge get their own fans forum online then. The Newcastle thread was started because of the rights and wrongs of the Saudi ownership not because anyone was interested in the club as a football team.

Does it even matter. Hardly puts anyone out to overlook a different topic on the main page. There's much bigger things to worry about in life.

We've also had threads on Golcar & Emley on here in the past but nobody appeared to object these. When Town have no game, folk have been encouraged to attend these lesser local teams games and I'm amazed that folk seemingly object to what amounts to a harmless bit of advertising/news.

Depends whereabouts you live. I live roughly half way between Liversedge and Brighouse Town and have an interest in both. I have very little / no interest in Golcar or Emley.

That's a FACT, UTV 😆 Played for a lot of teams in Golcar over the years; Rising Sun, Rose & Crown, Botham Hall. It never struck me at the time that I was playing my football in the best village in Huddersfield. It was 30+ years ago mind so maybe it's improved beyond recognition.

Town have a massive support in CleckHeckmondSedge and a lot of fans do follow grass roots football. Why would anyone complain about this, lets face it most people in CleckHeckmondSedge havn't a clue where Golcar is that is if they have heard of it at all and others only know of Emley because of the TV mast. I admire the fans who travel to watch their team home and away and i always thought the best village in Huddersfield was Armitage Bridge. UTT

Botham Hall is in MilnsbridgeI think I’m right in saying that JBC Thorpe Green was the original name of what later became Botham Hall. If so, and I’m happy to be corrected here, then the club was based at Thorpe Green WMC on Leymoor Road. That is/was most definitely in HD7, despite them actually playing *just* in HD3.

Most people in North Kirklees have never even been to the Colne and Holme valleys or the gorgeous countryside up around Kirkburton and Denby Dale, they just see Huddersfield as the big brother who gobbles up all of this authorities spending.

Plenty of truth in that. I work in Birstall and many of my associates live in the area. The amount of them that have never even heard of Golcar etc is unbelievable

Official Statement from The Sedge “We have rejected the opportunity to join the Super League” Our fans would much rather stand in the open, rain hitting them sideways and hear all the jeffing from the pitch!! There’s nothing like non league football!!!👍👍

Liversedge are well out of the conversations at both top and bottom, but Ossett need something to keep heads above water. A win will probably secure them in the division, but no guarantees. I had a look at the Northern Premier itself too. Bradford Park Avenue really in it. Been very badly run the last few years, big turnover of players and now looking like being relegated again after dropping just last season. BPA v Liversedge in a league fixture is something that can't have happened too often down the years.

Yep Avenue have been run badly looking like back to back relegations, went to watch them on Saturday it was only a fiver in, it was miles away from what it was a few seasons ago when they were riding high in the Northern prem, have a lot of time for Avvy and they have some good fans who have become friends. Really hope they can escape but their plight certainly looks a lot tougher than ours.
