Sedge making a good go at avoiding the drop, some cracking results lately, pity they took so long to get their first home win otherwise they would be looking comfortable. Interesting that Sedge and Marske the 2 promoted teams are in the relegation zone, both were outstanding last season but have struggled in the higher league this year. On another note, they’re at home tonight against Barnoldswick Town in semifinal of West Riding cup, kick 7.45. Agree that given Town only have one Saturday home game left they might pick up a few more punters!! Yes their home form was appalling early on, it hasn't been great all season but its improved. Problem for Liversedge a lot of this season is if they got a decent result they haven't been able to build on it and slipped back into the losing rut, they have a chance of avoiding the drop but its still going to take a massive effort, hope they manage it.

Making a fight of it to try and avoid relegation. 0.4 away win Tuesday night. Given the Boro game is Towns last home Saturday game of the season, I'll probably be popping down to watch them a few times from here on in. Final saturday game of the season? Wow, where has it gone ?? ! It's been the shittest season I can remember for years for the fixtures on a Saturday, getting messed about with

One of those players that you could tell would just take the absolute piss out of everyone at non league level, however unprofessional, old, or unfit. As long as he doesn't encounter any more automatic gates he'll be fine

Huge step up from where he was a decade ago. Remember us giving him the absolute dogs abuse when we were cruising at 1-0 up at Bellend Rd and he then bagged a hat-trick as they won 5-1

Bad start for the Sedge, 0-3 at home to Cleethorpes.
Don't know when I'll get to see them next as they still haven't uploaded this seasons fixtures to the website and if they can't be arsed attracting fans, I can't be arsed going out of my way to find out.

I use the Football Web Pages app as it has all the fixtures for every league including Sedge.

A pal of mine who's an avid 'Sedge fan says that McCormack was absolutely appalling at the weekend - bloated, unfit and fell over the ball a few times much the amusement of the crowd. Quite the fall from grace it sounds. It's not like he should be hopelessly washed up at the age of 36.

Quite the fall from grace it sounds. It's not like he should be hopelessly washed up at the age of 36. Even at that level if you're not fit its extremely difficult, i dont know if hes played any football in the previous few months but if he hasnt its certainly going to take time to get up to speed. I used to play in a Sunday morning league, i had a break for a year or two and then played again and regretted it after about 10 minutes of my first game, out of breath with a winger running rings round me, all because i hadn't done any training whatsoever and barely kicked a ball, maybe McCormack thought he could just step onto the pitch and it would all come back to him, grass roots or top flight if you're not fit you get found out.

The mighty Sedge lost 3-0 last night at Stocksbridge Park Steels, they are at home Tuesday night 22nd Aug against new boys Newton Aycliffe and then on bank holiday Monday 28th Aug at 3pm against Brighouse Town.

I'm going to get crucified for this.....but here goes. On a forum for Huddersfield Town the Transfer thread gets moved off the main page because it doesn't interest everyone (I know it's now got its own subpage) but surely a page for towns transfers, true rumours and bullsh#t has more place on the main Huddersfield town page than a thread about Liversedge football club. This is the reason I don't post maybe change the board name to Batley and spen town supporters.you could then move all town related things to sub boards and keep the main page for all things Liversedge and Cleckheaton.
