The mighty Sedge kick off their season tomorrow, 13th August, with a home fixture against Ashton United. Good to see their promotion to the 7th tier was confirmed and although a few players from last season have moved on, plenty replacements have been signed. Some interesting dates to look out for are FC United at home on Tuesday 27th September, Guiesley 26th November and Whitby 3rd December both at home. None of the dates clash with any Town fixtures so hopefully a few decent gates!!! The plum away tie is this coming Tuesday, away to Whitby!!! Think I’ll give Norwich away a miss and opt for fish and chips at the Magpie then onto to the match!!!!

Anybody know what the cost is to watch the, this season, think it was £6 last season, you'd imagine it would be dearer this time round.

The club can also confirm our admission prices for the 2022/23 season:
£10 – Adults
£5 – Concessions (65 and over)
£3 – U16s
Free – U5s
We recognise that these admission prices are an increase on recent seasons and apologise to supporters, especially considering the timing alongside the surge of inflation and cost of living crisis.
However, the fantastic achievement of gaining promotion to Step 3, alongside improvements to the ground to meet ground grading requirements and better the matchday experience for supporters, has brought the club financial costs.
We are having to VAT register which adds an automatic 20% to the gate prices, and these prices are indeed more in line with our position at non-league Step 3 as well as meeting requirements at this step of the National League System.
The club would like to reiterate our apologies for the increase of ticket prices, but would also like to place on record our thanks for the way you turned out last season and played a big role in getting the lads across the line.
We hope to see you all back for an exciting new season, another historic one for the club as we reach a new high and welcome along some big clubs.

Cracking win at Whitby, a good 3 points from one of the pre-season playoff favourites. Sedge went 1-0 up, 2-1 down, levelled to 2-2 and found the winner with 13 minutes left. Excellent entertainment not to mention the excellent fish and chips at the Magpie!!!! Sedge home to Morpeth Town next Tuesday, could be a good attendance with Town not having a fixture.

They also play FC United of Manchester at home on Tuesday 27th Sept and Town don't have a match that night either, the place will be heaving.

Good comeback for Sedge at Bamber bridge this aft, 2-0 down but scoring an extremely late injury time equalizer to grab a point, W1 D1 L1 so a steady start with their four points coming from their two away games.

The last few times I’ve been down to Huddersfield it’s been a direct bus from Glasgow to Manchester - but lots of times before that it called at Preston and on the way out I’d see the stadium of Bamber Bridge a lot... Quaint wee non league ground but not sure the name of it... and though it’s a bit away yet, I’d love to see Town fans get an away day at a non league ground we’ve not played at before in The 2023 FA Cup !

Our bus (megabus) definitely went into Preston and sometimes Lancaster University and do remember heading outta Preston and seeing a jail - (Not as a prisoner of course) ! Deepdale in the background and Bamber Bridge on the outskirts of the town - well I did have a bar up the back of the bus but I’m sure that’s the stadium or should I say ground that I seen !

Yes, Bamber Bridge ground is right next to railway line on the Bradford to Blackpool line, looks a nice little stadium. Quite a picturesque journey at certain points is that journey

4-1 home spanking for Liversedge v Morpeth, took the lead too, massive step up and tonight will have been a reality check.

Their first three goals were all mistakes and they constantly were fouling and got away with it. I thought Liversedge were poor, second to the ball all the time poor crosses and far too many players having a go at each other and the referee who was woeful

Stalybridge Celtic 3pm today, might pop along.
Glossop North End at home in the FA Cup 3pm Saturday. Anyone know if they're in a higher, lower, or similar League?

Lost 1-0
Probably edged it until they went behind in the second half then Celtic comfortably controlled the game from there on in.
Don't know the attendance, but looked a poor crowd compared to last season

I’m coming up tomorrow for the Blackpool game on Sunday, but I’ve just seen that Liversedge are at home on Saturday to Glossop North End in the FA Cup. Never seen Liversedge but I’ve heard it’s an enjoyable visit so I’m thinking of going. Any recommendations for parking?
