Plenty local derbies next year for the Sedge. Bradford Park Avenue, Ossett, Emley and Brighouse!! Apparently Briggus who should have been relegated have escaped due to a league reorganisation following some team resignations in other parts of the pyramid.

Does he still live in the area ? Remember he used to have his hair cut in Cleck.

Know he used to live Harrogate way when he played for Boro. You’re right though, always in Cleckheaton for his haircut!! Will find out more when I’m in on Thursday 😉 Apparently making his home debut tomorrow night against Dunstan.

Sedge announced this morning that manager has left the club. No further comment forthcoming but Rimmington had been there quite a while. Be an interesting local derby at Brighouse this afternoon!!

I would have been there if Town were away as a Brighouse fan. I suspect the attendance will be reduced by quite a few from both Brighouse and Liversedge with Town at home.

I've been to watch Sedge a good few times, and a pal of mine is a regular. According to him, Rimington is an absolute bell-end. Always seemed like a strangely aggressive character when I saw him on the touchline.

I thought Ross McCormack was the Player/Manager last season?

Brighouse 0 Sedge 3 310 in attendance It’s a shame that local derby matches like these are played when Town are at home, from a financial perspective if they were played midweek when Town weren’t playing I’m sure that the attendance would be far higher. All local clubs like Sedge, Brighouse, Emley and Golcar could all do with any extra cash that they could generate.

I think they got 900? for this fixture when Sedge were going up that season.

I have been to watch the Mighty Sedge twice this season and the writing was on the wall with the manager.

Liversedge 4 Newton Aycliffe 0. After watching Town for 56 years since i was 8 i am beginning to enjoy watching grass roots football more than watching Town and i never thought i would say that. I feel a bit sorry for Mr Duff he didn't bring these players in and i can only see it getting worse.

Count me in. Adam Clayton now at Matlock as player coach along with Rimmington who’s the assistant manager there. Seems like plenty of new signings today.

Grimsby Borough though. Not THE Grimsby. The Spen Valley would have to board up the windows if it was thee Cod Army Mariners. They did a report on Biggleswade this morning (Breakfast news-for FAC) & they have 3 teams in their small Town (well almost, one plays at Bedford FC). In Cleethorpes they do have 3 grounds within spitting distant from each other........Not been to CT or GB grounds but GT's Blundell Park is one of the coldest, even in August.
