I think the games in groups B, E, F, G & H are likely to be the most interesting group games to watch.
But I also think it may get tedious with the amount of games.
Can’t imagine what this tournament will be like for TV audiences with 48 teams in it. Football eating itself really.
I considered a poll on your winning team options, but hopefully there will be another thread for that.

I'll watch most of it no doubt. Not looking forward to it though to be honest, especially England with Southgate in charge and Maguire at the back
I don't think winning this one will carry the same weight as a normal world cup. Mid season with zero preparation makes it much easier to win in my opinion

I've voted "Hope FIFA go bust". But I'll probably watch some games, all of England, all of Wales plus whatever games where I'm not working and have the chance to watch. Mostly I'll be watching in the hope of some upsets that rival the following: Cameroon 1-0 Argentina (1990) Algeria 2-1 W Germany (1982) Senegal 1-0 France (2002) Swiss 1-0 Spain (2010) Probably many more that were before my time (USA v England in the 50s or 60s springs to mind) but other than against England and Wales I love the underdogs winning. Must be a Town thing

I’ll be picking and choosing which games I want to watch so none of the options cater for me.

I’ll try and watch as many games as I can but will mainly be the 4pm and 7pm ko due to work unless I’m working from home then I can watch them all without any interruptions. The added number does seem a bit of an overkill but the World Cup does create some memorable moments like Senegal beating France, Germany spanking Brazil 7-1 and who could forget when North Korea qualified and reported it back home that they had beaten both Portugal and Brazil.

Teams will be nowhere near as organised. Should make for a better more open tournament

Just booked the first week off work. Won't be watching every game but I'll see plenty I'm sure. Always an interesting competition.

Haha you comment on just about every football match ever played on the todays games thread including Bournemouth v West Ham the other night - I'm convinced there are West Ham fans that probably didn't bother watching that - yet you'll not watch England games at a world cup so you can keep your little 'I hate England' thing? Never change Porroh

Completely unbothered. Whole thing's a disgrace, the watered down gesture politics will mildly stir up the press but ultimately achieve nothing for the people Qatar fucks over. I love international tournaments usually as well. Probably going to avoid most games. I'll watch if there's a town player involved, I'll watch the final and maybe a handful more. I usually watch every game I can at these

Really looking forward to it to be honest. Tough one to call this year but with Messi going into it in great form I’m thinking it’s Argentina’s, nicely capping off his career.

I absolutely think this should be a summer tournament always but we are where we are and need to accept it sadly... I’ve went with the ‘jump on the bandwagon’ option as that’s probably what I’ll just do - not every live game but probably most nights late night highlights I’ll enjoy even without Bonnie Scotland there after their summertime play off capitulation to The Ukraine...
I’ll be gutted without Town for five weeks even given where we are, but I suppose Dumbarton FC and Clachnacuddin of The Highland League won’t be supplying too many players to the competition and will be able to play on through it so at least there’s something for Westie to focus on there !
Anyway for those Terriers and Terrieresse’s based in Wales and England good luck to your international ‘clubs’ and enjoy The World Cup when it comes !

I don't agree with it being in quatar should be a summer tournament too but will end up watching most of the games can't see England getting very far with Southgate in charge tactically inept and way too defensive.could be Brazil's this time but might have a daft bet on my old favourites Holland
