If Holmes buries the 1V1 about 45 seconds before Sunderland took the lead, we'd have won the game. Our confidence is shit, we don't have a plan B, very easy to soak up pressure against once a team is trying to keep a lead. Doesn't help that our attacking game is based on crossing and, without Sorba in the team, we're crap at crossing.

Rudoni was wanted by more than just town, as we'll be a selling club after relegation, due to a smaller budget, rudoni will be sold to someone like sunderland. Privately im sure Rudoni regrets his move. Diarra will likely go back to France, again a starlet like him will not want to play in league one.
As a league one club its unlikely we'll be selling to anyone in the prem for a good while.

Even with Sorba in the team we’ve been hammering cross after cross into the penalty area (and beyond) and not getting any goals (Camara forced an OG v Hull). It’s simply not working full stop.

I can't disagree. Sorba's crossing from open play is very erratic. Although the quality was lacking, it was good to see us vary our deliveries last night. We put some low hard crosses in as well as the longer, higher ones. I think these are more likely to be productive for our team in the long run.

Jesus Christ, steady on! It was decent, nothing more than that. When we got into a good position we invariably fluffed it and they were never really defending for their lives. We are right up shit creek, sans paddle now. Agree about fluffing it when we got in good positions, but cmon, some of the turns and little interplays in the middle by Rudoni and Camara were sublime, they really were. I havent clapped as much at a game for a long time as I did in that first half. A few little flicks and tricks in the middle of the park? Is that it? I know you are laudably positive about most things Town related but to call that stuff "mouthwatering" is, IMO, a little over the top.

The bit in bold. Do you really think that??? Didn't Boyle come on for the injured Jackson? Mahoney was for Kasumu wasn't it? Could be wrong. I think you are right. Our Scottish coach made 4 subs last night which is more than he seems to make although 1 was on 87min which is unlikely to make a difference on the pitch.

Some really great bits of play. not suggesting it makes up for losing the game though. Id rather us be utter shite throughout and win. When you say we are up shit creek sans paddle.. to me the fact we have players who can do these things IS our paddle. Yes there are things wrong with our team but theres things right with it too. The defence has looked way more solid recently with both helik and Lees getting back to form and in the last 2 gamee weve worked ourselves into a hell of a lot of good positions to score from. The creativity has upped no end. Whats lacking of course is the 'scoring from' bit, and thats the really crucial thing. But not everything is as bad as the league position suggests, is my point. If we play like we have in these last 2 games for the rest of the season but just be better in front of goal then Imo we wont be going down.

Always seems to have some insight into which players are injured. Or claims to have. I've seen that from some of is previous posts. Must have bloody good eyes to tell how injured a player is without an x-ray or a scan. Which coincidentally, is what the club have said we are waiting on. I'll reserve judgement until I hear something more concrete, but if he's wrong, this Bob chap, I'll be phoning all the shit tabloids to expose this potential DATM fraud. FWIW, I think the injury is bad too, but I've seen folk stretchered off before with injuries that ended up not being as severe as at first feared. Fingers crossed for the lad. Looks like I have really good eyes so.

He's a Town fan just like us and Naka was just starting to look like a Championship footballer. I've really liked your posts and had some cracking chats with you, but that's not nice. Or am I reading too much into it? Probably, it's been a long day at work today

He comes across as arrogant, borderline gloating and know-it-all to me. I wouldn't like to be working with folk like that responsible for my safety, making big calls with no science to back it up. No scan, no x-ray, impossible to know the proper extent of the injury until you have those. That's the point I was making last night. You made a good point about Hoggy's 'broken neck'. As I say, I've heard an Achilles snap before, Brummy lad I used to play with - was more like a cracking sound, crutches for best part of a year. Gutted for Yuta too and gutted about our growing injury list, tbh.

If it's a 'me problem' me not liking folk making judgement calls on injuries and spreading rumours on the internet without proper testing procedures having being carried out then so be it. All your bothered about is getting your little gossip fix before the club officially announce what the situation is having gone through the proper channels. If we drop down - and we are owned by someone who really doesn't give a fuck - we could be spending a lot longer down there than we did last time.
I can see both sides of the Hoyle debate - but when he came in he really went for it to get out of league 1 - that might not happen again.
I'm genuinely worried about going down and staying down.

Three relegations from this division so far: 10, 7 and 11 years to return, with two separate spells in the bottom division and a proper great escape in 1992-93, or it would have been three. Two things I'm always grateful for: that we don't go straight through the third tier to the fourth and that we follow a play-off failure or near miss by not being relegated the next season (see 1992-93, 2000-01 and 2002-03).

We would have been promoted last year with a good striker. It was obvious that was an area where we were inadequate and it was never addressed. Despite all the arguments about Hoyle and his money , one thing is for sure, we are the architects of our own downfall on the pitch. Lots of people advocating for Ward as a top tier striker in this division. It was madness even last season, to come out with such nonsense. Ward's conversion rate last season was better than Mitrovic. He just had far less chances.

Had that come to Ward I think he'd have dinked it over him. All if's but's & maybe's of course...
