Pretty sure Hogg was £600k The figures I've quoted was what our Lord and Saviour(😉) gave at a Q&A at Canalside. Ok, furry muff. Ive always had it in my head Hogg cost £600k for some reason.

Okay. Despite Hoyle admitting that the club made Robins get rid of the backroom team, he's still completely blameless in the situation according to you and it was Robins that instigated it! Your fierce defence of the man on literally every single matter is quite tiresome. It is possibly a reaction to all the shit that gets thrown at him now. There is rarely a post where Hoyle doesn’t get a mention, and it is usually a dig. Perhaps Captain is trying to get some balance. I have stuck up for Hoyle numerous times on here over the last few weeks, I do not subscribe to this view that everything that went wrong was Hoyle's fault. I have said as much. However, it has been a long-held belief of mine that Robins was chucked under the bus by Hoyle on that occasion, I said it in 2014 when there was no axe to grind and continue to hold that opinion.

If you knew, could you affect it? How can you be suspicious of something you know absolutely nothing about, because no details have been released. Why can’t people understand that the club is a business, and there are ways business is done. If this all gets sorted and you don’t like the outcome then so what? However this deal frames up there will be posters on here who are unhappy, because they nearly always are. In life you never know what is round the corner, so it pays to be cautious from time to time. Sometimes it is the caution pays off and sometimes it doesn't. A football club is not just a business, for a lot of fans it is so much more than that. I could like some sit in a darkened room and take whatever crud get thrown at me, but that is not my way, I may not be able to change anything but we can make it clear if there are things we don't like. I realise for some Town may be just a business and they don't like to stick their heads above any parapet, but why would they want to stop anyone else? But you seem to be sitting in a darkened room miserable without even celebrating there may be light at the end of a pretty disappointing tunnel..."just in case" it turns out there's a reason to!? Why not get with the here and now, start dreaming a bit, and raise voice / question the owners as and when there is any reason or evidence that they aren't capable/don't have enough funds/whatever? It's perfectly ok to get on board with the positivity and then change your mind when they're unveiled / when things start to go wrong!

Your fierce defence of the man on literally every single matter is quite tiresome. Im just pointing out all the players Robins was backed with, which was a lot. And that he himself chose the coaching replacement rather than Hoyle 'hoisting' one on him like you said. If someone challenging your claims is tiresome then DATM might not be for you. After a great start Robins came within a cock hair of taking us down.. seemed to have lost the dressing room and started the next season by being thumped at home.the players were clearly not on board with him for whatever reason and to his credit Robins decided the best thing was to part company. But claiming he wasnt backed is nonsense. Complete nonsense. We finished 17th during the previous season, nine points clear of relegation. If that's a cock hair then what was Corberan's first season? Challenge the claims all you want, but the constant defence of Hoyle IS tiresome. You are allowed to admit that he got things wrong occasionally, especially when he admitted himself that sacking Robins' backroom staff unsettled the manager and that they should have parted company when that happened rather than at the start of the next season. But no doubt you'll have an answer to that as well...

Robins chose a former team mate of his himself.. and that Robins had been backed by being able to bring in a lot of players,, broke our transfer record , etc. Sorry I confused myself when we escaped relegation by a cock hair the previous season after robins had taken over from Grayson. We did have a bad slump in 2013/14 though second half of the season. Won 2 of the last 13. We'd been quite high first part of the season.

His successor was a terrible pick, one of Hoyles mistakes for sure. Hoyle did back him to what he could afford which was whatever is posted above but the problem with that was it probably leaves you with a relegation fight budget and he expected top half finishes. In the end Hoyles main issue was he wasn't rich enough to consistently achieve his/our expectations so we tried to cut every corner we could and eventually it has led to where we are today

Jesus wept, even after all this there are still folk who, if they came home and found Dean hanging out the back of their wife, would knock him up a full English while he finished the job. The problems here started and are ending with Dean, with Phil being just a brief interlude. The man's arrogance is trumped only by the disdain he now holds Town fans in. He has the power to stop all of this, and always has had. Those who still have their noses firmly up his back door will scoff at that, but ultimately when he took the club on he took on a responsibility that he is still capable of fulfilling, but is choosing not to. It almost feels like he's grown to resent the club. Maybe because of his illness, I don't know. What I do know is it's fucking grim right now. And the most worrying thing is the apathy many of us feel. Everything things inevitable, and many of us has lost the fire in our bellies to even be angry about it any more. And every time someone says shite like "well you buy the club then" or "Dean is putting his own money in" it does the club no favours. It's his fucking job. One he chose to do. No one is asking him to sign Haaland and Mbappe but fucking hell, standing idly by waving your IOUs while the club disintegrates is pretty fucking despicable. And I have it on good authority that the way he's been conducting negotiations with the Pure admins and the Yanks has been childish, naïve and risky, as well as fundamentally dishonest - so much so this is why the Yanks have lost interest. Someone mentioned a statue of Den being called for a few years back. I'd have helped build the fucker. Now if there was one I'd be using it as a urinal. The sooner he is out of our club the better. And I hope he never comes back. 60 people liked this post. I haven't seen 60 apologies and gagman has been very quiet given his big mouth. DATM has so many sheep and playground bullies. Those of us who believed that Dean would do his best for the club he loves have been vindicated. I wish more folk would be fair, balanced and do their own thinking instead of jumping on the bandwagon. The hysteria and character assassination on here has been truly shameful and embarrassing. Have a nice day Why would I apologise? I stand by everything I said. Him selling the club now doesn't change the shit show of the last few years. The fact that the numerous happy clappers are fapping themselves silly over his "legacy" now is ridiculous. I'm glad he's going. The distain and contempt he's shown us all post Phil Hodgkinson has been disgraceful. His legacy is tarnished beyond redemption, in my opinion.

It doesn't seem strange in the slightest to me that a prospective new owner would want to stay quiet until everything is ratified. Similarly prior to 8th of April 2008 when he formally became a director and took on an initial 33% minority ownership, you won't find any reference to Dean Hoyle making a comment about getting involved with Hudds Town (and in fact he was not named on datm prior to that date (off the back of an Examiner piece on the 10th April), although there had been hints for a few weeks).

Yes, because I believe it was true at the time I wrote it. My understanding is that he was telling the Pure admins they needed to write off what was due to them, and he would do the same, but telling the Yanks he wanted what was due to him if he got the Pure admins to write off their element. The Yanks got wind and threatened to walk. And as for "hope he never comes back", clearly I meant in a boardroom sense. As for my "character", I'm comfortable with it - if I felt I was out of order I'd say it. You probably wouldn't hear it, as your head would be too far up Hoyle's fundament, but hey...

I’m probably in the middle about Hoyle, see both sides and agree with some points. What I will say, some people are letting their thirst for knowledge supersede what actually matters, the game itself. We have seen in the last decade more than a lot of fans will see in a lifetime supporting their club. No matter what you think about anyone, on paper it’s been one hell of a ride and one that has the stories that can be told for a generation.

Dean Hoyle could commit mass murder and for some it would be fine because he gave us a great few years.
He was fantastic from 2008-2018 Complete disaster the rest.
Unfortunately, the downhill slope was 10 times quicker than the uphill.
It has been repeated many, many times. Just the Hoylebots can't accept anyones negative opinion. It is like he owns them and it is getting cringe hearing them.

That information is for GHQ only to know it seems. well I'll have a little guess that he's received around £10m-£20m for the 100% shareholding...a club with no debt doesn't get sold for £1. Difficult one. Something that is losing £5m pa with no debt and no easy way of reducing that might. You are then paying for the prospect of EPL riches x probability of success (vs those operating losses). That possibly explains why Hoyle seems to be receiving some payment if Town get to the Prem again.

I think the bots on either side are just winding each other up. Can we all just settle on, Hoyle did good stuff, also did bad stuff, some of it for his own gain, some of it for the clubs gain. He's not the messiah he is a bloke that put some money into his local football club for a bit

I was all up for raving about him to colleagues or people I met when things were going well. I have also now had to say to somemof the same people how his decision making has been disastrous. He has made the correct decision now, which I respect him for, but that same decision should have been made, instead he gave it to Phil. Credit for thinking of the club 1st this time. But just because he has done that, doesn't remove the errors previous. But in the same breath, the errors shouldn't remove the great times either. I would say he gets a solid 7/10 for his reign.
