Thought Rudoni showed Hogg what leadership was about last night - always showing for the ball no matter whether things were working. Meanwhile our captain fucking courageous just hid - looked the other way at every throw-in - offloaded the ball to the nearest player no matter how much trouble it put them in and then turned away and left them in the shit.
Leadership and bravery in football isn't about a hard-man stance, short sleeves and bollocking youngsters cos you're frustrated. It's about taking responsibility and helping and encouraging teammates. Hogg displayed zero leadership last night - and hasn't for weeks - neither did Tom Lees - they need to look at Helik for what a leader is.

Cardiff also drew their game. I am sure their manager will look at us and tell his players "match Huddersfield,s results, and we say 6 points in front"simple really.Only thing that changes is if one of the sides above them, gets dragged into it.My cystal ball tells me that won,t happen though.

If Rhodes was on the pitch and the Helik chance falls to him, we win 2-1. That it was a chance is an improvement? Helik got himself up there at the death, gotta be a positive of sorts? As soon as we scored I would have gone Simpson and Rhodes for ward and waghorn, they had done some running however fruitless most of it was.

As soon as we scored was when we needed to make the subs for sure.
Haven't seen momentum like that from Town in a long while.

As soon as we scored was when we needed to make the subs for sure. Haven't seen momentum like that from Town in a long while. Keep saying we nèed to play more where the ball is more often and for longer, one pass went badly and we were there to take advantage. Spent all season watching poor passes and poor control from opponents all over the pitch not being taken advantage of. If they make as many poor passes etc under little or no pressure think how many chances we may have had if we pressed closer and harder for longer? Maybe as many as we have given away due to being pressed??

Agreed that Helik busted his balls to get up there is a positive, just in a relegation battle, at the death in a game, we need the right man in the right place to bury it.

Definitely, not sure Jordan back defending a corner gets up anywhere near Diarra??? Think Simpson might? Its why I would have brought both on or even maybe start them, Simpson holding the ball in and around their box and Jordan playing off him for the attempt on goal? Close to shit or bust now, bravery may save us, fear will finish us.

Helik has proper fight to him. Since his error against Coventry, when he went into his shell, he's fought for everything.

Never seen a player telling the ref to hurry up like the Norwich keeper last night. Absolutely atrocious reffing. Having said that I was sure he was going to give a pen for Lees tackle. I would have given it from where I was Their player booted the ball under the floodlights so Vaclic had to fetch it he never said a word. Buy you can guarantee that if we'd been leading he'd have told Vaclic to hurry up. They really don't help themselves

It wasnt enough, it never is, but at least they showed a bit of fire in their bellies last night, bit of fortune for our goal but so what, our keeper had a bit more to do but mainly in the way of crosses and weak efforts otherwise fairly comfortable, just a shame we're toothless up front.

If Reading get their suspended six point deduction applied then they'd be on 38 points, below Cardiff, making them the team immediately above the drop zone. We've made up a point on them during this midweek round of matches. Won't make a difference though if Administration were to happen.

Another couple of observations. When they had a corner late on, we had everyone back in the box. Not one player left out in the middle in case we had the opportunity for a quick break. It wasn’t the case that Norwich had everyone up either.
One of our FK’s towards the end, Norwich did the same, but we had (I think) 3 players behind the taker.
A point here or there, particularly in home games and considering our run-in, is not going to help the cause a great deal.
We have to throw some caution to the wind surely. If that results in is going down, then we’ve lost the equivalent of 1 point, but the flip side is we would potentially gain 2 more.
Defending late on to retain a point is probably acceptable if you’re Cardiff or Rotherham, but we simply don’t have that luxury any more.
It’s baffling to me.

I think Warnock’s lost the plot. It actually reminds me of when he joined us the first time. When he arrived he got rid of all talent and pace and made bizzare team selections and canned our best players, i actually hated him at the time. The following season i quickly changed my mind and enjoyed that season as much as any. Think he’s got the wrong memo this time, we needed wins immediately. My Dad said after the Coventry game that it reminded him of what Warnock's football was like in his first season. It's often forgotten these days that Warnock was hated up until the Autoglass run (I know a lad who still hates him even now!). My Dad recalls a game where most of the crowd were singing "Neil Warnock, you're a wanker" at him.

I must have blanked that game (or at least some of it) because I always remember it as 0-1. Possible I'm getting mixed up with the first game at the Mac though, we were always going to lose that one. But yeah, after that Barnet game there was a lot of people wanting him gone. And we'd have missed a brilliant season afterwards if he'd been sacked.

There was a demonstration after the game, from looking at The Examiner report from the time.

Ah, the days pre-internet, when you had to put some effort into having a moan… Funny how things cycle round. Schofield/Fotheringham would be the Neil Warnock in that story, whilst Warnock has become Mick Buxton…

Here's another classic from December 1993. Manor Road, Farnley Tyas. I bet that letter was written to the Examiner with a fountain pen…
