Must say I know his time was only limited yesterday but didn't half think Simpson offered a different dimension when he came on. I havent thought much too him so far but he used his body well, he was a handful. I'm not saying he's a starter but could be used to shake things up in games coming off the bench. Just before he put the shot into the side netting the defender was trying to pull him all over because of his stature he stayed upright and managed the shot off wonder if he had of gone down whether the twatmuffin in the middle would of given us a pen!! No chance. Absolute bellend he was. As I posted in the thread, when do we ever get a match changing decision in our favour.

Norwich were absolutely dreadful, but we made them look like Barcelona in the first half. Once we ruffled their feathers in the second half, they looked poor. But that's Wagnerball for you, dreadful. All these people that were predicting a heavy loss for us. Ha ha! When did Wagner ever do heavy defeats anyway? What you know about football could be written on the pointy end of a drawing pin with a 4” paint brush.

Thought we did OK from 30 minutes onwards. The game changed in our favour when Gibson came off injured.
Only criticism was the timing of the subs, and why isn't Hungbo featuring? Is he carrying a knock?

Football mags used to print the full address, house number and everything. I wonder if anyone ever went round for a word... When Don McEvoy was Barrow manager, he paid a visit to someone who had been slating him in the local rag. The fella didn't know what to do! McEvoy,McGarry and Quested, now that was a middle 3

I once wrote a really po faced and embarrassing load of bollocks about Mick Buxton’s lack of sportsmanship in the early 80s to the Examiner (though I also won letter of the month and a pen from Wheatley Dyson a couple of years later).

I found this on an old laptop the other day. Can't remember the context but I presume it was funny at the time.
