Just found a new scenario that I think would have everyone most on edge. If Reading lose today by one goal Then we draw our next two games we could lose 1-0 to Reading on the final day and stay up by a goal difference of 1 goal. I want this sewn up before the Reading game though...Wigan to win today, Town to win tomorrow..job sorted

Fantastic result for us Millwall winning. Now we need not worry what Blackpool does against Norwich. So far, since our last game, we've avoided the drop into the zone. AS IT STANDS. Games to watch BEFORE we play are: Stoke Vs QPR, to keep QPR in the mix and the big one Reading hosting Wigan. IDEAL RESULT would be Stoke beating QPR, and Wigan beating Reading. If Wigan do beat Reading, then all we would need is 1 win in 3 and we are safe OR a draw against Reading would be enough IF Wigan don't beat Rotherham. If it's draw, that'd keep us out of the zone but on equal points with Reading and it'd go down to the final day unless we take 4 points in the next 2 games If Reading DO win, that means Wigan are relegated (and can't catch us), and it moves Reading above us by 2 points. We can still avoid a final day relegation fight if we are to beat Cardiff and Sheffield United Looking forward Should we beat Cardiff OR Sheffield United, and QPR or Rotherham lose their next game (QPR vs Stoke as mentioned, or Rotherham Vs Boro) then they will also be in the mix on the final day Why do we want WIGAN to win!!!! If they win then reading and Wigan have a chance of going Above us A draw is the best result Wigan win and we win tomorrow, job done, season over.

One point is not going to be enough for us under almost every scenario. We defo want a Wigan win today, it could be no bad thing that they need to beat Rotherham. Explain how we deffo want a Wigan win? It keeps them in it. A draw is best. Would mean us and Reading could drop. Rather have Wigan relegated along with Blackpool.

And if we can't get 2-3 points in the 3 games we deserve to drop . Especially bearing in mind Reading and Wigan have had points deductions . Which is a bit of a farce imo

A draw in their game would mean we'd need a win and a draw to avoid a last chance saloon against Reading. A Wigan win, would mean we have three games to get a win to be safe. We could potentially be mathematically safe with 2 games left

If Wigan win, they could achieve a maximum of 46 points. Reading would also only then be able to reach 46 points by beating us. 3 points for us out of the last 3 games gives us 47 points, meaning both Wigan and Reading finish below us (and Rotherham in this example as they will also only have 46) A Reading loss today means 47 points sees a team safe.

Reading have just tweeted, 'every seat sold now for today's game v Wigan'......spur them on or make them nervous as hell?

I understand all this. But that is based on us actually winning.
Surely it is better to have 2 relegated than 1 relegated before the last game of the season?
A Wigan win keeps them in the survival race.

Also, a Wigan win puts Rotherham safe, who Wigan play in their final game at home, meaning they'd be more likely to get 46 points if they pick up the next 3. I'd say neither Reading nor Wigan will overtake Rotherham on goal difference.

At least we’re not Wigan or Reading supporters today. Always happens, but what a shit roll of the dice, both sides have to go all out for the win, so it might be an entertaining game.

No we wouldn't.
If Reading and Wigan draw, and we lose our next 2 then we would be in the bottom 3 on GD
Reading is currently -20, so a draw keeps them at at that and moves them level on points with us to 44 We are currently -19, so two 1-0 losses would make us -21 on 44. They would be above us
Leaving us needing a win against Reading as a draw against them in this scenario would also relegate us.

If Reading, Blackpool and Wigan each wins their final game, and Town lose their remaining 3 games, we could end up bottom on GD.

We have 3 games to get enough points to stay up, 4 would seal it. Reading have one game and it could be out of their hands by then. I know which I would prefer. It won’t be easy but it is in our hands.

Really hope we get it done tomorrow, mainly because in 13 attempts I've managed to not see us win live since Luton in the play off semi final, and I'll be at the last two home games.

It won't matter whether you are there or not. I used to have a lucky pair of socks that I would wear and We would win. Then I went to game without said pair and We won . It turned out our winning was not down to my lucky socks but Mick Buxton picking the team.
