Of course he won't. I remember that second Premier League season and we were in November 2018, from then until January we had Brighton, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Southampton, Fulham, Burnley and Cardiff to play. We all thought a couple of wins would see us okay as we were playing the teams around us, including some we'd beaten the season before. How many points did we get? 1. 1 fucking point! To add a little bit of balance: Brighton = man (wrongly) sent off while leading Bournemouth = lost 2-1 despite battering them Arsenal away (which you've skipped) = last minute winner We were poor against Newcastle and Southampton Fulham away = last minute winner Burnley = man sent off for a second yellow - when he didn't realise he'd been booked already Cardiff = got given a penalty and the ref (wrongly) changed his mind. All this with the back drop of an injury crisis in midfield - think we were without Mooy for most of these games, and Hogg for several, and an owner in hospital with his life at risk. Yes we should have got more points, but the bad luck and we had during that run was ridiculous and I think everything going on just broke Wagner. Criticise him for what he's done since he left us by all means, but I think pinning the blame of that season on him is harsh. Am I right in thinking we hit the woodwork a ridiculous amount of times too during this run? It feels like a distant memory now but at the time it felt like everything was going against us in that run. But you could argue most things went for us the previous two seasons! Football karma I guess?

Football karma I guess? Not so much during this run, but at the start of the season up until our good period in November we did. I remember this, because I had a facebook memory pop up the other day actually. In mid November we had hit the woodwork more than any other team in the Premier leaugue (think it was 9 times), and when you consider how many shots we'd have compared to the top teams it was a pretty crazy stat. You're right though, we were overacheiving and eventually it catches up with you.

Norwich 33/1 for promotion now, worth a punt maybe. Town are 500/1, about what Coventry were this point last season, they got within a spotkick... We've no chance, Norwich have the team capable but do they have the man? Like you say, maybe.

How ironic that the last time Wagner rested players for a play off campaign it was at Birmingham and this season he will doing the same again only this time it could be the final nail in our coffin

I can see Norwich laying down, not the best travellers either!

Just another subplot to add to what is going be an incredibly painful last few weeks of the season. Bacuna will probably score the winner for Birmingham against us as well.
When 1st lose to relegation contenders twice in a week, 3rd lose their unbeaten home record to another relegation contender and the FA cup semi finalists and one of the form teams roll over at 23rd, you have to think that it really isn't going to be our year.
The luck has run out. It ran out in September.

I've not looked at any actual stats but surely we're not even close to the amount of luck Birmingham have had avoiding relegation. We've only really had one properly close relegation battles since we got back up into the Championship.

It obviously depends on how you define it but in my mind, it isn't *that* close if you're safe before the last game.

I see that Liverpool have plumped for another single syllable Manager that won’t prove too problematic for the Scousers to pronounce…

Winning the Dutch league once doesn't really seem to cut the mustard for a club of their size. I could see him being out of the door by Christmas.

At least his comedy side will be shown to a much larger audience

Norwich 33/1 for promotion now, worth a punt maybe. Well, did you? 'fraid not! Not much of a gambler but those odds were ridiculous imo when you look at their squad and what we know about the King. Maybe he could still do us a favour!
