If I happen to be staying down there at the time I might make it over for one of these, probably Tavistock. Need to check nearer the time.

That’s a Gruel quip overton if conman is gonna be paying £220 for it ! 😬 😊

Every conman lives in a lap of luxury in jail these days according to the street talking bush telegraph... Trust me - It’s not that way in ‘E’ divisional headquarters at London Road in Glasgow where I once spent a night sobering up - and sobering up from the hangover from Hell without your watch (which they nick but return on you being ejected) - That is even worse than the craving for a hair o’ the dog ! 😬 NB - I’m glad conman is getting his luxury in a normal hotel and not ‘The Queens Hotel’ that I light heartedly referred to in the first line of the top paragraph ! 😊

Tavistock not Tiverton I hope conman 😉 My other half has booked a cheeky week away with female friends so I will be cat sitting all that week the friendlies are on, hence I can definitely make Tavistock, about an hours drive across Dartmoor. Beautiful this time of year if the weather's good. Don't need loads of beer for a good night so driving not an issue. I think one preseason games enough for me though.

Sady i will be Away for Tavi and liskeard matches but will be at Bodmin and hopefully V Plymouth if i can get a ticket which is just down the A38
Should be a decent town support as lots of town fans live in both Devon and Cornwall.

Worked it out with the Mrs that i will now be back Saturday for liskeard game and also will be at Bodmin.
Shame we didnt have a friendly V Torquay , Exeter or Yeovil as more local to many town fans i know who livie down here
No doubt all friendly match club owners/managers are wel known to Neil Warnock as a close sporting circle when living in Cornwal
Tavistock Devon is out in the sticks on Dartmoor , Liskeard Cornwall not far from Plymouth and normally the first thing you see is the TV mast .
Bodmin Cornwall is an ancient town with the jail turned into a very expensive hotel
PS Be aware of the beast of Bodmin moor
If your coming down on holiday for the week then a must visit is surf city of Newquay as amazing beaches pubs etc and boards to hire for all ages if you fancy abit of surfing
Plymouth is very central to all matches and the waterfront hoe is a superb place very near to spend the day with the Naval base close by
Would be nice if the club could do a live stream for all these matches

Are we thinking there’s a chance of any further 1st team friendlies or that the announced will be the lot? I’m abroad for the Stockport game and can’t do Cornwall because of work.

Any Devon/Cornwall Town fans go to the Armed Forces Day today in Falmouth? Excellent day, top performances especially by the Red Arrows and Typhoon, against a backdrop of cloudless blue skies.

Are we actually back and in pre-season now?
I’ve seen loads of clubs back this week but nothing on Town. And our first game is on the 10th.

And then the fans will moan like hell when the players are rotated nonsensically to get games into their legs and as new tactics are practised.
It's the same every year - Town play friendlies and the fans whinge about being short-changed because the team doesn't wipe the floor with perceived weaker opponents. Then the moaning and wailing about how poor we look and how we'll be nailed-on for relegation will begin. You can't - and shouldn't - read anything into these basically fitness activities - but many will.
It's no good denying it - it's what always happens.
These games should all be behind closed doors so that the two managers/coaches can crack on and do what they feel is necessary without fans booing, cat-calling and sniping.
I know it's an unpopular view, but you'll never catch me going to these events because I know exactly how it's going to pan out.

Season before last we played Fleetwood in a pre season friendly, an indifferent performance and indifferent pre season and some folk on here were moaning like buggery, season commenced and we finished third.
