Looking like Forest will end up getting a ten point deduction this season, putting them in the bottom 3.. Also noted by Kieran Maguire on twitter that they lost 51 million in the championship. Get them relegated. Surely not. IIRC they got promoted on a shoestring according to the media at the time. Surely not MORE smoke-blowing?

Get them relegated. Think I remember reading at the time that when they, Fulham and Bournemouth got promoted, they had total losses between them for that season of around £180m, so that £51m sounds about right. Bonkers - particularly when you consider 2 of the 3 were in receipt of parachute payments. Wonder what the figures will be for this season for Leicester, L***s and Southampton? Didn’t Southampton sell about 100m worth of players? I’d hope they’d be okay after that!

I don't know this but I suspect the same. A 10/12m sale in the summer. Does anyone know if that then is the end of the 3 Yr accounting period and we then get another 3 year run or if something else is on play that the current board took on when they bought the club? I thought the FFP 3 year period was a ongoing 'rolling' period, not a block of 3 years, then another block. Its a funny one isnt it. Not clearly defined. It makes sense it would be that. Which basically means with 15/16m of income and similar wages we can spend 39m/3 or 13m a year on players and ADDITIONAL wages. Something doesn't stack up there though with our last 2 years figures after parachute money even including a loan repayment, which was headline news "written off". Either way I'm concerned we might get a 10 pointer ourselves in the next couple of years, but trust a. The board to sort it and/or b. Us to find a 10m sponsor with no connection to the board to be new shirt sponsor in a cash upfront discount deal. Isnt that how it works?

No wonder they didn't want to split the play off money. At least the dibbed us 12m for LOB and Toffs 😁

Hopefully it’s not but if it is the case then currently only Sorba and Helik could fetch that type of fee, though from a resale point of view Heliks age might go against him, both massive players for us. Sorba is too important to us to accept a fee that a team who wants him can offer. He'd be gone by now if that wasn't the case. Hopefully the same could be said for Helik

Financial Fair Play The CFRU has remit over all the EFL’s Financial Fair Play Rules which are different depending on which Division a Club is in: Championship Clubs follow Profitability and Sustainability (“P&S”) Rules which dictate what losses Clubs are permitted to incur over a rolling three-year period. League One and League Two Clubs follow the Salary Cost Management Protocol (“SCMP”) These state that Clubs can only spend a fixed percentage of its revenue on player wages etc. This limit can also be added to or impacted by equity injections or net transfer spend. For more information about the EFL’s Financial Fair Play Rules, see Appendix 5 of the EFL Regulations.

Looking like Forest will end up getting a ten point deduction this season, putting them in the bottom 3.. Also noted by Kieran Maguire on twitter that they lost 51 million in the championship. Get them relegated. We need a new word for how happy that will make me. "Schadenfreude" doesn't quite cover it. How does "Fukinace" sound.

Get them relegated. Apparently the players don’t have relegation clauses in their contracts either - Shit could turn to diarrhoea pretty quickly for them
