there's so many, but what lingers longest in my memory was theFA Cup replay v Wolves in 1961 I'd only started getting into football the year before, I'd watched my first FA CupFinal in 1960, Wolves beating Blackburn..my brother took me to my first away game in Wolverhampton who were the cup holders.the match was on BBC Tv that night...but the replay was something else...a night match, floodlights on , and a crowd I'd never seen the likes of before. I can still remember whole chunks of it, I can still feel that atmosphere with 46,000+ fans in the ground... Full respect for remembering that game so vividly. Before my time but I totally understand the impact of a night game under floodlights had on you. Life in the old dog yet..... ... Oddly enough I can remember nothing of the 4th round tie at home to Barnsley, despite there being 44,000 there...it end 1-1 and we lost the replay, which I didn't go to.

Boxing Day, 1969 - big crowd, local derby and Town beat Sheffield United 2-1. Think it was my first time in the cowshed too - 3 weeks short of my 10th birthday. I must have attended a few home league games that 60/61 season but my memory has gone for these..I'd be around 10.5 yo and although I was playing for the junior school football team I hadn't really fully 'bonded' with Town.. I suppose I was not allowed to go by myself.

That Wolves Cup replay is also my most memorable game. An incredible, memorable night. Me, dad and bro set of early because there'd be 'bit of a crowd,. Drove down the hill to the Red Lion where the Huddersfield-Bradford Road crossed the Whitehall Road and it was solid. Funeral pace through Bailiff Bridge, Brighouse and over the top to town. Parked in Alder Street, over the canal and across the old fairground and finally got in ten minutes before half time. In terms of drama the game had it all (we'd missed a goal and a missed penalty I think) and Mike O'Grady's winning volley on the break into the Cowshed goal was unforgettable.Such noise, such scenes and under floodlights too. There were well more than 46,000 there! Wolves were the cup holders and a really dynamic and innovative club at that time with a star studded team. Billy Wright was captain of England and married to one of the Beverley sisters (an early Posh and Becks.) My brother and I (he's 80 now) still hearken back to that great night so long ago. How the game has changed. One of the things I loved about that night was the scent of the clouds of pipe tobacco wafting out of the popular side terrace. I watched the game clinging to a 'railway sleeper' fence at the pop side/ Bradley Mills corner. Sadly I have since learned that not a single image of that great night has survived. Unthinkable nowadays. Sorry to ramble on but, along with all the great games and results identified by previous posters, this one should never be forgotten and it is great to read that there are posters out there who were there for that magnificent giant killing.A treasured memory.

That was my first ever Town game, also my first ever game I was 8 years old. When we beat Leeds away with that last minute winner after being 1-0 down after about 4 minutes. Don't often get to local away matches but managed to get a ticket for that one.

Some fine games mentioned on this thread. Very nostalgic. For some reason, the 4-0 thrashing of Cardiff, with a Paul Jones hat-trick lingers in my memory.

That's where me and my brother watched from.. there was simply no way of getting into the East stand it was rammed,so we ended up behind the floodlight in that corner, hanging on to the wooden fence at the back.

I think it has to be Palace away 1st game int Prem, an early start ont train, a lovely summers day and a fantastic game which put us briefly top of the PL! A superb day all round.
Also Boston away in 2003 when I went with a group of lads and we all dressed up as policewomen! Great day.

Leeds at home in the 2017/18 season... it was a Heffin' dream.
Barnsley at home in 80/81 when there were 28,000+ there.
A spurious game just before Buxton took over (78/79?) when we came back from 0-2 down at half time against Scunthoprpe to win 3-2, Terry Grey with a couple of goals I think.

I remember pleading with my dad to take me, as he took me to the Saturday afternoon games, but I think it was the likely size of the crowd and me being only 7 that meant he went on his own.

I got 'special permission' to attend this as the missus was expecting any time..in fact she went in on the Sunday and my son was born in the early hours of Monday...perfect timing !

1972 FA cup 5th round v west ham 4-2 atmosphere was amazing old guys in open end singing there hearts out,Frank Worthington magnificent that day made Bobby Moore look silly. Had a lot of great times watching Town as well as the bad but this match the standout for me Mine too Yorik. Still clearly remember the icing on the cake that was Frank's goal. In more recent times the win over Leeds with the added fracas was also fun. UTT I totally agree, we were struggling in the top flight that season but that was a stunning performance against a team full of star names - Frank was magnificent that day.

Beeston away, Milk Cup, '82. Fucking carnage in those pens on the Lowfields terrace. Now we're talking..............what a night that was. Came home on the service train to Wakey which full off Leeds fans, its fair to say we were keeping a very low profile. I remember taking great pleasure seeing scores of the great unwashed getting off at Ponte and Normy and sloping off into the darkness. If you were there it was literally a night never to be forgotten as a Town fan.

Unfortunately I missed the Leeds game as I had just been posted to RAF Bruggen. I was in the transit block sharing a room with a Leeds fan. I remember him coming in the next day and saying to me, Bloody hell we lost to Huddersfield last night. I replied Fucking yes, he just looked at me and never spoke to me for the next few days.😂😂😂

Too many to choose from, but successive 1-0 triumphs at Manchester City take some beating. Robbie Edwards after 16 passes and then a perfect header from Chris Beech.
It will likely be a bloody long time before we win there again!

I’ll never forget Bradford in the chicken shed in ‘99 and Robbie-fucking-Blake, even though I was only 12. It was the return fixture having being beat at home 1-2.
The 2-3 win was sweet as fuck, especially considering I’d been spat on by four grown men on the way to the ground and they were flying and chasing automatic promotion so close to the end of the season. And they’d beaten us to the signing of Windass.
What a day that was.
Honourable mention to Lincoln City on the playoffs. I literally fell off my seat that night when Edwards scored.

Bradford away, back then, was pretty hairy. Some little twat ran up and hoofed my dad square in the shin after the Iain Dunn FA Cup game in 1992(?). The walk back to the Interchange was pretty interesting too 😁

Was at this game too, we only had that logo stand behind the goal as the ground was being redeveloped. was in the upper tier swinging off the roof struts,my mate won face in the crowd in that football paper done by the Examiner, Soccer Special or summat. When he went to collect his tenner, they asked him for ID, he'd won face in the crowd what more ID did they want, his face, his picture!!!
