I'm sorry if there's a thread somewhere in the depths, in the pub last night for talking about our favourite games.
Mine was the Bournemouth home game, 4-2 on penalties Antony Kay of all people. Id just comes back from a lads holiday the same day, hanging badly and nearly didn't go but topped up the hangover in the afternoon and cracked on, what a decision!
A few others mentioned but that stood out for me.
What is everyone else's favourite town match and why?

Possibly been done to death, but Brentford away in the playoffs will always take some beating.

Possibly been done to death, but Brentford away in the playoffs will always take some beating. Same for me, not so much for the game but the atmosphere in a tight packed Griffin Park.

I suppose it depends if you mean favourite match in general, or favourite match you've been to.
Either way, Town 3-1 Brighton in the promotion season is possibly mine, in terms of how good we looked that night in the first half especially, where no team in the league could have lived with us.

Palace away has to be up there. The 2-1 at Newcastle was decent too.
Some great playoff games at home. Lincoln and Bournemouth were crackers.

Hard to say... so many to choose from... But in terms of being a pinnacle I suppose that beating Mourinho's ManUre must be top.

Newport at home 83 was a cracker, the last time we won promotion during the regular league. Leeds away in the League Cup around the same time was a stand out.

I think it was so much more impressive because of who it was against (a very good team at the time, who ultimately went up automatically). Far more impressive than if it'd have been against a team in the relegation zone for example

Really hard to decide, in fact i cant cos i've seen so many games where i've come out absolutely buzzing, you think of one game and then you think of another that might top it.

Of all the ones to choose from this one is my favourite as well. A first half blitzkrieg against a good team My favourite player, VLP, terrorising Bruno and the master Aaron Mooy orchestrating our midfield and the tempo of our play. Our performance in that first half was just about as good as it gets.

And therein is the beauty of football. Knowing at some stage, we will again put in a performance to wow and be remembered for. I still recall the 5-1 beating’s handed out by the current gaffer’s team in ‘94-95. Just didn’t let up.

Too many to choose from but Srockport away in the Autoglass when Iain Dunn scored in Warnocks first spell, crazy scenes behind the goal. Probably the start of the renaissance of the club with the move to the new stadium on the horizon.

A bit too distant for some but Town 6 Bradford 3 New Years Day 1983 was special In the good old days when pro footballers could play games within 24/48 hours of the previous game. Stanton scoring 4 if memory serves, a great day that one…

That game v Newcastle was memorable for as much off the pitch as it was on it?
Was Graham Cooper playing in that game, and did he score?

York City away in 03/04 was a right shout.. That was actually my first away game. I’ve been to 90 grounds since then, no wonder I got hooked on away games on the back of that.
I think my favourite game though has to be beating Man Utd at home. Incredible atmosphere.

I gotta say the game against Reading to lead to our promotion to the Premier League. So much emotion, so much joy.

79/80. Town 7 Port Vale 1. First time I saw us score more than 5 in a game, having missed the thrashing of Middlesbrough.

My 1st away game, Blackpool away, 2 Leon Knight late goals to seal a win.
Barnsley away, GTF winner 1st leg of play offs.
Sheff Wed 4-4.
Palace 7-1 will always be there for the Wijnhard overhead kick too.
