Judging by the number of folk over here who wear vests/ tops/tshirts/caps with the name of a baseball/basketball/NFL team they know nothing about I think it's well worth a punt. Who knows, maybe a Town top with "Hogg" will soon be de rigueur in New York. How do you know they know nothing about them?

To be fair, iv known people wear the basketball tops and not even watched a game. Apparently they were just the trend at the time.

Talking of football fashion trends I remember Derby coming to Leeds rd in the eighties. Pringle Jumpers, Fila BJ tracksuit tops & bleached jeans a smart looking lot. Then Bradford turning up at ours they must be the scuffiest fuckers I've ever seen at a football match

D'oh, ignore me, I thought you meant the pic was the same product, front and back view. I thought I was looking at something completely different to you when you said that, maybe Musk doing some weird shit to non-subscribers

Good luck Domenic. Further infrastructure from Nagle which will only help us grow as a brand and gain momentum as a club. agree

Just need a nice bucket hat to go with the Kagool, nice one R Kid The merch always looks like something you'd find on a market stall to me, I'm no designer but I suspect it could be made to look more professional somehow. I guess there's only so much you can do but it always just looks like the cheapest tat with something Town related stuck on it. Perhaps be better if they could have it made by the kit manufacturer or a recognised brand at least.

The Kit manufacturers at our level only offer kit / training wear, which is directly from their suite of designs, which we choose from. It would not be worth their while, evidenced by Nike and the infamous missing Womens Goalie Top.

And I don’t accept the argument that we should be restricted on choice as dictated to by a supplier. I notice merchandise and am a student of kits, spurned by the Admiral kits of yesteryear. As an example of good design, before Bournemouth were promoted to the PL I went to one of their games. I looked around the small club shop and was very impressed. They were selling branded AFCB jackets etc and just about everyone I saw were wearing them. In previous years I have been a prolific spender in our club shop. Usually deciding to buy a new HTFC coat every season amongst other items. I have not spent a penny now for 3 years because I just don’t like what’s on offer. When the majority of football games in West Yorkshire are played in inclement weather, surely the range should cater for this.

Yes I can imagine, not sure what the answer is, I just know it looks like tat and I'd never buy it, I do see other clubs produce decent stuff. I guess the answer is look at what they do and see if it can be made to work at Town. Might depend on supplier I suppose. Maybe some are more flexible than others. I think I read we're changing from Umbro next season, I just hope it's another decent brand but maybe one that can offer a bit more.

The last jackets I've got are the HDOne black bomber-style, can't remember the year but apart from a knackered zip it's still getting used. Other than that I've got one of those massive "bench" coats from the SuperLeague era, again still gets used occasionally. But as you say, their "winterwear" is/has been pretty threadbare on choice.

Had no inner pockets or anything. A complete waste of money.

A few snags/clicks but otherwise still in full working order.

Sounds like a waste of money but time will tell. Why would anyone outside of Huddersfield would have any interest in Town? Not at the moment, but thats exactly the point and exactly why he has been appointed.

I think that is exactly the point, exactly why this position has been created to make people outside of Huddersfield and in the US take notice. People in the US that take an interest in English football have a team they might be able to form an attachment with.

Eskimos aren’t buying many ice creams but i can’t see Dixons spending dosh trying to expand in the Arctic. Who knows, maybe if someone stuck a Snow Mountain, an Oyster and Dixon’s t-shirt on a sled they’d love it.

They're bringing out a range of cut-off jean short-shorts with Boss Hogg across the cheeks. That's NOT one for the young ones, but older members will know *cough* Catherine Bach *cough*

I really don't see a downside to this appointment. The idea is to generate money accross the globe to grow the football club. Branding doesn't mean people have to watch Town but to develop a range of clothing (or anything else for that matter) that people can buy. Our Brand has a history to sell as well so I can see potential to build on that. I am sure there are many older gentlemen wandering around Benidorm as we speak wearing Ramones, AC/DC, Metalica etc tea shirts who have never seen any of them but believe they are "cool". Many on here have got annoyed by the "little old Huddersfield" tag that has been used, surely this is a chance to expel that for ever. looking at the guys cv he strikes me as the sort of guy that if he thought he could not make a success of developing our Brand globally then he would not have taken the job.

Ok, for all the sad sacks, negative Nellys and little old Huddersfield Town people, it’s time to listen up.
Firstly, I don’t live in Huddersfield, the UK or Europe. I have no association to Huddersfield other than I watched the best Australian footballer of his generation play for you.
In 7 odd years of watching Town I’ve spent probably $20 on iFollow to watch Town and added Bein Sports so I could watch Town occasionally. The reason I have spent fuck all on Huddersfield Town is the real lack of a quality product to buy. The Huddersfield Town App to me is a disgrace and my access to watching through iFollow is pathetic. It’s not up to the standard that I expect to spend money on.
With regards to merchandise, I haven’t spent a cent there either. Not because I don’t want to, but it’s a long way from the UK to Australia to post returns that don’t fit. So size standards are very important and having collaborations with the Sacramento team, selling in standard sizes and products are the type of products that create and promote more buying.
The world is a big place with 8B customers looking to put their money, time and energy into a multitude of different hobbies and interests. I’m one of those 8B, but there will be many more as evidenced by the Wrexham series.
If you haven’t seen it, the first episode of the second season features a number of football supporters from all over the world who have come to watch a game. The people of Wrexham speak of the increase in tourism and money being spent in the town. In the first season there were the same group of doubters, the same “it’ll never work” naysayers.
My point is, get in behind the club and the owner, they are trying to do something that could benefit all. As someone who lives half a world away I want to spend money on your club and I sure as shit won’t be the only person. There’ll be a massive amount of people worldwide looking to spend their money on football and the mighty Huddersfield Town. Get used to it.
We talk of spending money on strikers and moan that we can’t compete with the likes of Luton, let alone Middlesbrough, WBA and Leeds. These teams are global brands or in Luton’s case becoming a global brand. Huddersfield need to become a global brand to enable us to be competitive. The Premier League gave the club a chance that I honestly think the club missed in their attempt to stay charming as Little Huddersfield.
Fuck that, stop the small time thinking and back the club and Nagle. The club has massive history and is a big club. Its time to attract worldwide revenue and allow the club to be the club it’s meant to be, a big sustainable club in the world of football.
To Domenic et al, please improve the viewing experience of Huddersfield Town, the HTTV app needs a proper makeover to become a professional platform. Give me something that I’m happy to spend my money on that works 100% of the time.

Plus the likes of Miley Cyrus, Melanie Chisholm and others who may not be remotely interested in the band (swap with football club) but love the t-shirt design. I know at least half a dozen people who wear rock tees that wouldn't remotely know the bands' songs. Used to piss me off seeing these "fakes" til I realised they were giving more money to bands I like.
