Yuta was released on Monday. From his previous contract yes. Regardless. He's too injury prone in my opinion.

We'll see. Not beyond the realms of possibility that he'll stay on a short-term deal. He'll obviously need to take a sizeable pay cut, but he's a good egg is Yuta. I've heard, albeit third-hand, from someone over here that he wants to stay in England. This is someone with connections to Kashiwa Reysol who he played for before moving to Holland.

I don't think it is a coincidence that Towns form went downhill after Yuta's injury. I think we would have stayed up had we not lost him to the bizarre injury.

so, released.....not a Town player now. End of story. I thought players were paid an extra month , ie end of July if after their contract ends they haven’t found another club ?.

I don't think it is a coincidence that Towns form went downhill after Yuta's injury. I think we would have stayed up had we not lost him to the bizarre injury. The lad who caused the injury got a new deal and a mural*, so it'd be a bit harsh if we don't offer him another year- especially if he (a) actually wants to stay, and (b) is prepared to take a pay cut with relegation. If he can stay fit (and I think he's been unlucky rather than him being "injury prone"- certainly the most recent injury was a freak occurrence that could have happened to anyone) he'll be a class above in League One. *=not actually intended as a serious 'dig' at Hoggy, by the way.

Best LB in the team... International And we didn't utilise him. Seen some brilliant shooting/crossing from him in the B team games. Good attitude I'd of tried to keep him on less money.
Better than Ruffells that's for sure.
