Jackson has had some good games , Saturday he didn’t but that can be any player. The criticism feels a little harsh to me. He had obviously been told to keep possession. So with no options going forward he went backwards. (He did of course miss some opportunities to pass it forward). One poster earlier said “ why are we playing two up front when we have no fit strikers ?” What a great point. are we ? Moore has to go - but Kevin won’t do it yet - he is confident he has the right man… Jesus wept. This is damned if you do and damned if you don't. If he played with just Koroma up front he would have been accussed of being overly defensive, which he was anyway. Who would you have played and in what formation to improve the team?

Id have played a proper back 4 with Hogg sitting because they played with 2 up front. Matso ahead of Hogg and Rudoni ahead of him. Get some depth in midfield back and forward. Diarra, koroma and Thomas providing the 3 forward. Lees always looks out of sorts when he plays out of the middle, Helik gets too deep and Brodie is definitely a full back. Kasumu is either a full back or a midfield worker, he isnt a wing back. Plymouth were too big, too direct to do anything else with, with the personnel we had. Had to be movement, use the pace we have to its best advantage and have two centre halves doing what they like doing and marking a man, not space behind wing backs etc.

It was fuller than normal. Maybe 14000. Some people can see the crowd for the empty seats My daughter messaged me just before k/o to say they'd been told to expect about 14,000. I thought it looked a lot fuller than it has been for ages, and certainly fuller than it will be next time if Moores still in a job. Next 4 home are Wednesday, Hull, Sunderland, white shite. Irrespective of who is in charge (please god not DM!), the away support alone will swell the attendance. Looked post match Saturday as if the run had been Cardiff, Millwall, PNE, Swansea and DM was still boss, don’t think I’d have bothered. He has to go, simply has to.

I liked the look of the team when I saw it in the pub before the match. I'd read it as: Nicholls
Spencer Helik Lees Jackson
Kasumu Hogg Matos
Thomas Koroma Rudoni
So you'd have Hogg in that Carlos role of dropping back to make a back 3 when needed with bags of energy either side in Matos and Kasumu working to cover the gaps and the three forwards pushing on to create. Fair enough starting with a back 3 if that's what he thinks is best, but to not have a plan B up your sleeve and go for it in that second half is criminal. It's like he just settled for the draw and watched the game peter out. I was starting to cut him some slack after the last few home games and was hopeful that we might continue to improve, but Saturday was a stark reminder that this guy is f'king clueless and is the wrong fit for what is happening with the club right now. We're only going to get rid when it's too late and all of the fun of new signings etc has been drained. It's really frustrating because I like Nagle and what he's trying to do, it should be creating a real buzz with the fans at the moment but Moore just doesn't reflect that at all and what we see on the pitch totally kills the vibe. First time in ages I've actually been looking forward to a match but by the time the final whistle blew I was fed up with it all again.

The Plymouth set up was so typical by DM and his coaching team...it's been used in all but maybe 4 games and reeks of a coaching team fearing a 6-0 drubbing and relieved when it's only 4-0 or 4-1... More often it's 1-1 when we play the poorer sides who we actually need to beat. There's no change since he arrived, and it's not likely to change should he be presented with 4 or 5 new or fit players , because the mindset seems to be fear. Yes, DM knows he's under pressure and how on earth he's persuading KN to keep him on, I've no idea. Either DM is a charmer behind the scenes, or KN is proving to be gullible and naive..
As fans we can see it's not working, even the most diehard optimists can see it and of course the stats don't lie 20 games, 3 wins...from 16th when NW left to 21st, where we've been stuck since we got mullered by L666s .. No glimpse of change, not a sign he's learning what hasn't worked before, same old...same old..
