All, our Cypriot based fellow Town fan(?) has just booked a month’s holiday from the forum. 🔫 As you were. Both Phil and myself used to vie to be the first to squirt the water pistol. Bastard always won!

Weird how many people are mentioning squad depth today, thought injuries weren't an excuse?

Weird how many people are mentioning squad depth today, thought injuries weren't an excuse? Difference is JW still went for it regardless. Genuine question... if DM was still in charge, how do you think k he would have set up today, especially without Balker and Helik?

Could it be with 5 at the back 2 holding midfielders and 2 midfielders and one on the wing!

If DM had lost 5-3 I’d like to think the reaction would have been the same However, DM teams hadn’t scored 7 in 2 games so there’s a very different dynamic at play

With 3 GKS, 2 of which be sweepers. (behind the defense) Kasuma RB, Lees and Pearsons CBs, Yuta LB Sorba RDM. Matos, Hogg CDM. Koroma ST

If he was the academy manager and filled in we’d have been more lenient. Is that difficult to figure out?

Quality off the bench won that for them simple as that, every player they brought on would start for us. No shame in that performance they’re a very good side and for large parts we went toe to toe with them.

To be fair a DM would not have gotten out of their own half before (or after) half time. If Southampton had given us a two goal lead he would have pulled us back to 10 yards from our penalty area and tried to hold on to it. He would have failed big time!

I can't ever remember buzzing after conceding 5 goals. I said it before but the Kevin Keegan Newcastle side played very similar football. You score 3 we score 4. Awesome entertainment and after the last few months it's completely needed.
What it's showing is that these players are much better than the league position suggests. Appointing the next manager is a massive gamble to the point where I would give it Worthy till the summer.

Giving an Academy Manager the job after two matches, one which we lost, is a massive gamble, and much more of a gamble than appointing an experienced manager.

It was only because Cartwright and Co had nailed their fate to DM that they kept him so long. I can't understand how they are still in their positions. We should have expected more from Moore as we was employed as the first team manager and not the youth team coach. What did Moore deliver, nothing but boring defensive football for the most part.

Conceding FIVE second-half goals is relegation standard. You'd rather be bored shitless, stick 10 men behind the ball and lose 3 0 anyway?

If Moore had taken charge of today, do you think he'd have been praised or slated for chucking away a 2-0 lead? slated as we'd expect an experienced and permanent manager to be able to manage games (he couldn't!). He would have been praised for the change in approach that got us 2-0 up in the first place though. Highly unlikely we get ourselves in today's scenario under Moore though. Just 3/23 matches under Moore we scored 2 goals or more. Pretty funny that his game plan of sneaking a 1-0 happened 0 times as well! 2/23 we went 2 up 1/12 we scored 2+ away 0/23 2 up at half time

They played with a style that meant they would always score goals but always concede goals. That's exactly what I saw today. I'm not comparing Koroma to Ginola. I'm comparing similarities in styles. That kind of approach today, if we took that into every game we would be expecting high scoring games. It's simply a comparison. I'm not even going to go into the other person. I blocked him ages ago but somehow when he quotes me I still see it. If I see it I'll call it out.

All add up to the same number and it's not the same as 55fucking1 Wasting your time. Like that Portuguese fuckwit some people are so sad to only come on here to wind genuine posters up.
