Sometimes you don't always get what you deserve in life. Apart from those 2 ridiculous seasons at the other end of the table where Hoyle got lucky with Wagner and Corberan performed miracles with a very average squad we've finished 19th, 17th, 16th, 19th, 16th, 18th, 20th and 18th (and some of those placings have flattered us). I would argue other teams deserve a chance to see if they can make a better fist of it than we have in the Championship. What a load of tosh, so we deserve to go down because we’ve stayed up previously on merit? Granted, we’ve not sustained any mid table finishes, but it’s a 24 team league and we’ve been better than at least 3 of them since our promotion in 2012. Easily pleased or what

Things could be worse, we haven’t just been pumped 5-1 at home in League 2 against Mansfield Town! 😂😂😂 Weird thing is they are only 7 points behind last playoff spot with 2 games in hand, they can't buy a win on the paddy field!!, must be stage fright in front of massive crowds!!, the natives around me are still smarting from the 50 quid rise in season tickets!!, made me laugh at least after towns lack of efforts today. Glad someone else has noticed the state of the VP pitch, proper throwback to the 1970’s/80’s there. My 22 year old son thought I was watching old football from the late 20th century when he walked in recently and the brief highlights of a bcfc game was on! Obviously I didn’t bother correcting him. 😆

I was hoping (and still am), that KN’s ownership is a good thing for the club, but he has got some things wrong, even if it’s with the best intentions.

If we finish above 22nd matters shit what anyone argues , nobody is taking HTFC s place, we will be a championship club and every year can bring changes in a clubs fortunes so who gives a dam what’s happened before , so as a town fan I will back this club to the hilt and not give a dam about someone else’s team ? Deserving a chance Instead of my beloved town. I do, that's why I posted what I did. It's boring. Spent the last hour or so walking the dogs (much more fun) and was trying to remember how many games I've actually enjoyed this season and came up with Blackburn (H), Sheff Wed (H), Leeds (H) and Southampton (A). Even at our cheap prices that's more than £80 a game so far, assuming I don't get to enjoy any more at home. Anyone who thinks that's value for money is insane and you can probably apply the same for most of those seasons I mentioned above. Couldn’t care less if moaners like you don’t attend, won’t effect my afternoons one bit

How’s about when you spot someone’s mistake rather than being a clever arse you just ( let it go or) point it out rather than being that guy that everyone rolls their eyes at. ( you probably won’t even know it happens) .

This is the single reason why our language now suffers the bastard use of 'impact/impacted/impacting' all the bloody time - because the illiterati don't know the difference between 'affect' and 'effect' and simply don't know which one to use, so instead they opt for 'impact' when it's technically incorrect itself. 'Impact' should be used only when followed by 'upon'. And don't start me on the use of 'multiple' when it should be 'several'! Or 'myriad of'...

What about "less" and "fewer" Of/Have Their/There/They're Weather/Whether I think my brain's become so used to it I rarely even notice them anymore. Welcome to Pedant Corner The one that really riles me is when the Yanks say: “I could care less” instead of the correct phrase of “I couldn’t care less”. They’re saying the opposite of what is meant, yet still think they’re correct when it’s pointed out to them. They clearly struggle with double negatives.

I've lost count of the amount of conversations I've heard on the bus from "the youth of today" that became completely illogical purely by having, double, triple and even quadruple negatives in

I find the pedantry quite entertaining and pulling up the grammar is just a bit of fun, for me anyway, I'm genuinely not doing it to be condescending or smug. Bad grammar is nowhere near as bad as the breathless "train of thought" posts that some of our members tend to do. You know the ones; you need Google Translate to realise what the hell they're on about

Another weekend ruined. We absolutely deserve everything we get this season. Thanks DH for not backing Carlos, the best thing that happened to us since 2017. Then selling the crown jewels (again) Thanks KN and team for hiring and sticking with the worst appointment in the history of the club. This is ultimately what will send us down. Thanks for ANOTHER summer of not even trying to buy a striker, IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP! Our January business was shocking - Balker, constantly injured. Bojan, constantly injured. Healy, Out for the season. Matos, looks like we can't even play him. An insane amount of injuries yet again this season (Up to 13 first team players/replacements) at any given time not fit to play. It can't be a coincidence. Luck - To not have a penalty at home for 70 games. To be on the wrong side of almost every 50/50 offside decision is expected when you're struggling. On paper, how the hell is a team in the relegation zone? The majority of our 11 will get moves to championships sides if we go down. Garbage 2nd half, could see within 5 minutes we were standing off them. I can't see who we beat at the minute. Rotherham will smell blood and be well up for it. EDIT: ... and don't get me started on our creative maestro Ben Wiles.. bump again! Just apathetic at this stage. I didn't even bother watching the Cov game with the quality they have. Certainly don't expect us to turn up at Stoke and take anything out of that game. Millwall have picked up since Harris took charge. QPR and Wednesday have won more in the last 6/7 games that we have in the previous 25 Can't see who we are going to be able to beat in the remaining few fixtures.

If we go down we absolutely deserve it.
The club has been run as if an impatient fan has been in control and has been for ages now.
Nothing is allowed to grow. A few bad results, sack the manager. A few bad signings, overhaul the back room. Not saying the right people were there, but can anybody tell me what the club are/have been building towards? What's the plan?
Is there a style of play? A core value? Anything?
We have become Watford Light or Diet Watford. Good players go after a season and the money disappears. Nothing nefarious, there's just no good reinvestment.
We either pluck lads drown the pyramid in the hope they will come good, or give out pensions to ageing players who don't care and most signings are aimless. Just a body.
We've had opportunities beyond our wildest dreams in these past 10 years or so, opportunities to be better than we could have probably ever imagined and the 'custodians' of the club have let the fans down time and time again.
Its been a shambles for years. I think the only thing thats kept fans quiet for long is the constant 'new dawn' when someone new comes in. Unfortunately though even that has reached the end its shelf life and fans are starting to walk away.

Unfortunately though even that has reached the end its shelf life and fans are starting to walk away. The plan was attacking football and we signed the least attacking manager we could find to implement that. How Cartwright survived such a ridiculous decision is beyond me. Every Wednesday fan I spoke to through work were always complaining last season that there were too many games where they would be ahead and then hanging on which given the gulf in quality of player Moore had at his disposal Vs the opposition was alarming. On the face of it 80+ goals scored looks fantastic but they had 24 games where they scored 1 or no goals. It wouldn't have taken much due diligence from Cartwright and colleagues to realise that Moore might not be the best choice when he doesn't have the advantage of one of the best squads in the division

If we go down this season I put the blame entirely on the reckless decision to let Warnock go 3 months too soon and replace him with a man we all felt at the time was not up to the job.
We were proved right.....

We were proved right..... Absolutely, you could go back on this board and see many of us predicting exactly what has happened at the time they got rid of Warnock. That in itself is just a display of really poor judgement by the exec team. KN has chucked many more millions at it since and its looking like more down the drain. I know what my very first job would be at the end of the season if I were KN.
