Absolutely, you could go back on this board and see many of us predicting exactly what has happened at the time they got rid of Warnock. That in itself is just a display of really poor judgement by the exec team. KN has chucked many more millions at it since and its looking like more down the drain. I know what my very first job would be at the end of the season if I were KN. 'From a position of strength' is just another incredible line in the history of the club. Unbelievably bad judgement from so-called experts. "We will not sleepwalk into relegation" "From a position of strength" Two recent classics

If we go down we absolutely deserve it. The club has been run as if an impatient fan has been in control and has been for ages now. Nothing is allowed to grow. A few bad results, sack the manager. A few bad signings, overhaul the back room. Not saying the right people were there, but can anybody tell me what the club are/have been building towards? What's the plan? Is there a style of play? A core value? Anything? We have become Watford Light or Diet Watford. Good players go after a season and the money disappears. Nothing nefarious, there's just no good reinvestment. We either pluck lads drown the pyramid in the hope they will come good, or give out pensions to ageing players who don't care and most signings are aimless. Just a body. We've had opportunities beyond our wildest dreams in these past 10 years or so, opportunities to be better than we could have probably ever imagined and the 'custodians' of the club have let the fans down time and time again. It’s been a shambles for years. I think the only thing thats kept fans quiet for long is the constant 'new dawn' when someone new comes in. Unfortunately though even that has reached the end its shelf life and fans are starting to walk away. I agree with all that you have said and would add signing players who are already injured or have been a history of being injured. Take that player from Newcastle. Did we have him for three years without even playing? I can’t even remember his full name without ‘googling’ him. How much will that have cost? £1million+. Think we also paid for his accommodation in Huddersfield.

It's the Huddersfield way. Instead of paying for proven quality, go for the cheaper option only to discover to our amazement that a player who has managed 50 games in five years is injury prone.
We'll still be doing it in League 1.

Can we stop all this self pity bollox? We are not down at all yet. Character needs to be shown, starting tomorrow! The bottom 6 teams teams are all equally poor. 3 of these teams will survive. We could well be one of them.

We've won 8 matches all season. Only Rotherham, Fleetwood and Carlisle have won fewer in the EFL. It's truly pathetic.
Barring some late turnaround where we somehow win 3 or 4 of the last 7 matches we absolutely deserve to go down.

7 games left, you can write off Ipswich for starters and i cant see us getting nothing at Bristol. PNE and Stoke are going to be tough so we have 3 home game to save our season, not a chance of staying up and like someone said on another thread, it is possible we could be playing Barrow FC next season.

Relegation is not inevitable as yet.
Do we deserve relegation? I guess not, but we have been working towards since we got in to the Premier League.
Our policy of selling any player we can get a few bob for and replacing them with players of inferior quality will obviously have an affect.
As a club you can't be run it like we have been and not expect to end up in serious trouble eventually. 1) Keep hold of the parachute payments to recoup the money wasted on terrible signings in the Premier League 2) Sell any players you can and only reinvest a fraction of the money 3) The players we do invest in are Past it, Ex-Town players and young prospects from the lower leagues. 4) Consistently not investing in players to fill gaping holes in the squad.
We tried to buy strikers and failed and Luton stepped in and look at the differences in the clubs now.
We have a new owner now and it appears to be that the people he put in place to manage the club are way out of touch with Championship level football and seem to have vastly overestimated the quality of the squad and the signings they made.

Goodness me; another shambolic performance.
Wiles - If anyone has the spare time to watch back his performance he literally doesn't even look like a footballer. So, so slow. terrible touch repeatedly, cant play simple passes. Look's absolutely blown up within 30 mins, LOSES EVERY 50/50. It's not even like he's an athlete and offers pace or power. To go from Mooy, Sinani, Palmer, Brown even Holmes - to this fraud is absolutely ridiculous. Wouldn't have him in Wrexham or Mansfield CM, give me Keilor Dunn with 19 goals from CM in League 2 any day of the week.
Matos / Kasumu - Both are the same type of "destroyer" player that breaks up the play. Neither are good at it, both are a walking yellow card and this type of player works only if we have a creative midfielder or two in front of them - which we don't!
Jackson - Never rated him, never seen him have a good game. Equally as much of a weak link as Yuta. Wouldn't get into any other championship 11 so I don't know why we accept eh is good enough for us just because he came from the academy. Remember when we signed Kaiserslautern captain Chris Lowe as LB?! Seems like another lifetime. Jackson isn't good enough for a lge 1 promotion push.
Nicholls - The best GK performance I've seen in my lifetime in the playoff season. Ever since, especially this season - it seems almost every shot on target goes in - Loessl-esque. Big wage, we have maxwell as replacement - would happily cash in if we were able to get 2.5m or so for him.
Sorba - Abysmal 2nd half but pretty much our only player that can assist/create/run with the ball. Without him we wouldn't have scored half of the goals we have this season.
Zorg - Again not everyone's cup of tea but 1st half was a handful, got an assist. I don't think this was a game for bojan. I'm tired or Danny ward running around and not scoring. It was our CM that largely let us down last night.
AB - I don't understand the subs. I don't understand Healey in midfield. I don't understand playing jackson. He hasn't had an impact on the team at all. We play the same way - for set pieces. he hasn't breathed life into anyone like Warnock did with Ruffles, koroma, Danny ward. I don't think he knows his best 11 or system or even what he wants to play.
Nagle and Co - hang your head in shame. I called it from a mile off; sacking NW in a season where we were supposed to be consolidating. Appalling recruitment and advice given to him too.
I don't think we stay up; even if we do there needs to be a complete cull of the DoF, recruitment, Physio department etc etc... the playing staff need a complete cull.
Get rid of Nicholls and put that wage elsewhere
Get rid of Hogg, big wage and losing mentality; wouldn't start for other championship teams.
Pat Jones, Jackson - get rid or sent them to Bradford/Leadgue 2 loans because they're miles off top end league 1 clubs.
Ward, Ruffles, Turton - likely decent wages, always injured - get rid/loan a la rhodes.
Helik - Likewise will be sold
Sorba - likely will be sold
Our wage bill will be miniscule at this point.

If it looks like relegation smells like relegation and feels like relegation ...then it probably is.
God knows we have flirted with it enough times. For the number of years we have been in this division, we should be mid table or play-offs most seasons.
At the root of it Hoyle is to blame for selling everything saleable season after season and replacing with cheap options. You reap what you sow .
A glimmer of hope there are still games left you say . like last night a point would have been a good one at Preston given their record over us but no lets concede 4 second half goals and add another drubbing to the collection . I cant see us capable of gaining more than a couple of draws from the remaing fixtures sadly.
The players are dross, the manager appears the same . The club is a joke . They dont deserve the fans they have got who have backed the club despite the vast majority of seasons been a shit show. Who else is actually angry with the club ? I said years ago i wasnt interested in breakfast clubs and bike rides etc, I wanted my club run correctly
Its all self inflicted and pretty much unforgiveable in my eyes given the incompetence of those running the club.
I urge everyone to vote with their feet and dont buy/renew a season ticket . Its the only way this club is going to take the message seriously.

I get your points to an extent, ut I feel Nagel deserves a proper summer before voting with our feet. I don't think we will ever know the true ins and outs of last summer and how much involvement/say someone had. I don't think we will ever knownwhat went on with Warnock. Across numerous threads, I think we need to let these issues lie. The self infliction has been embarrassing, I am hoping Nagel can rectify this issue. I believe he can, but we will have to wait and see. The club needs to realise its status, we aren't an underdog or a club that should be bullied by others in this division. Our fanbase has been incredible considering what has been served up 5 of the last 6 seasons. Once our fate it sealed on way or another, I do believe there will be a buzz and a bit of excitement to get fans on board with future plans.

All Hoyle’s fault as usual. I’m sure he’s not blameless, but some folk need to look a bit further back to see how football used to be before stupid money entered proceedings…
If it’s relegation, nowt that any of us can do about it. I wonder if there were this many miserable bastards about in the 70’s and 80’s?

I still believe biggest cause of our current downfall which could so easily have been avoided was not backing Corberan. His attention to detail was exemplary. He always gave the impression that he overcame any shortcomings ( communication / language etc) by research and by sheer enthusiasm grit and determination (which should have resonated with us Yorkshire folks) His demands were not those of an egotist, he just wanted the tools to improve on what he had achieved against all the odds. Dean in the past would have backed him wholeheartedly but sadly his heart was no longer in it,by then just wanted out. A relatively few quid spent then bringing in the type of player to match Corberan’s ( albeit often dull) style would have saved us from the despair we all now feel……..hindsight !

If this were a marriage hen we'd be filing for divorce! Unlike a wife or husband you can't divorce your team, you fall out with them, you curse them, you swear you've finished with them, you may even refuse to see them for a while but deep down you know you'll never fully cut ties, a genuine love hate relationship, but divorce....nah this relationship is for life.

Whilst I can understand the frustration with regard to our current predicament some sense of reality has to come in to play. Having followed town for 61 years most of those have seen us struggle to maintain the league status at any given time. I believe both Dean Hoyle and now Kevin Nagle have had the best interests of the club at heart. Both have admitted mistakes have been made however they have been prepared to back us with their hard earned cash whilst working with FFP, low revenues from competitively priced season tickets, outrageous demands from players / agents for even mediocre footballer’s etc. I am sure we all want to see success on the pitch but sadly there are no guarantees that if you spend big success will follow (Look at forest ). Hindsight is a wonderful thing but maybe now is the time to reset which I know the current owner is trying to make happen. The biggest challenge is to create a winning culture and that comes from the club, ourselves and yes of course what we do on the pitch.

I wonder if there were this many miserable bastards about in the 70’s and 80’s? My old man was there through the 70’s and whilst it must have been properly grim dropping through the leagues whilst crowds plummeted, there was no social media. The only moaning and groaning came on the terraces when he and his mates got together for a few hours on a match day. As far as fault for our current predicament goes, it probably stems back to that dismal 2nd season transfer window when we brought in some right arseholes on big contracts who proceeded to bleed us dry whilst not performing on the pitch before fucking off into the sunset. There have been several big, big errors of judgement since then but if you concentrate solely on this season, I reckon Warnock would have had us on the 50 point mark by now, we’d be around 15th/16th and safe for another season. Promising the fans “one more season” (sic) to then get rid in September for Darren Moore (of all people!) was just stupidity of the highest order. It immediately started alienating the fanbase and was a completely unnecessary move to make. We then proceeded to dally around when he should have been sacked ages back. Those were the errors that look to have finally broken the camel’s back although the actual rot set in years back.
