In a parallel universe, Warnock had got us to mid-table safety during January. AB was available and the future, so Warnock agreed to step aside whilst giving a full handover and introduction to English football. He came in free of pressure and able to lay some foundations for next year.
Sadly, that wasn’t the case.
We were in yet another crisis and, rather than a safe pair of hands where experience may have been key, we gambled on AB to be able to adapt to English football immediately in the hope of escaping the drop.
Hard to see it as anything than another fuck up in the litany of appalling decisions made by Nagle’s goons so far.
Wrong man, wrong time, wrong situation.

18 months. 6 managers. Constantly battling relegation.
When will some fans realise it's not the manager? The players are not good enough. Maybe League One is what we need, full factory reset. If that does happen, I for one, hope we stick with the manager.

The one consistency over the period has been the players. Clueless, spineless, tactically thick. They are the ones on the pitch not running, not having spacial awareness, landing planters on players when on a booking.
Schofield, Fotheringham, Moore, Cartwright, Edwards, the inept signings and wasted money. The squad. It’s on them. All of them. They have brought us to this stage.
Edwards, Balker, Radulovic, Ward…the list goes on. Utter garbage so far. No heart. No passion. No spine. Ward doesn’t play for three weekend and he has a back injury. From what? Having a shit?
It’s been coming. There’s still time but it’s almost into injury time and we need goals.
I don’t blame Warnock, Nagle, or Breitenreiter.
As others have said maybe we need to go down to clear the slate and start again BUT there is no guarantee we would shed this sack of clowns, nor could we guarantee to come back up.

While AB isn't exactly covering himself in glory, it certainly isn't time to be writing him off, his record alone means he has to be given time here, and if we go down it certainly won't be because of him, the damage was done well before his arrival.

Whilst the players ought to shoulder some of the blame, we have a better squad now than the one Warnock had and he kept us up comfortably in the end. The difference was, he was a good man manager and knew how to get the best out of poor/average players. This lot running our club now including Andre have no clue about Championship football. Cartwright and Edwards spent too long working in the States and are out of date

Bottom line is this is a League 1 squad with 3 or 4 Championship players in.

I’m not writing him off. I’m saying he’s been dealt an impossible hand.
We sacked Warnock too soon, sacked Moore too late, spent horrendously in January and hoped AB would move to a new country, hit the ground running and save us from L1.
It was never a sensible plan.

Let's be clear, we're all doom and gloom and talking like the season is over, when in reality, if all stays the same today, then we're 3 points away from 18th. It's hardly a done deal.
Coventry are a good side with an £8m striker who's scored 2 goals, the first of which was a wonderful goal, and we all know how good Kasey Palmer is.
If only we had players that good!

Last season was shit this season has been a disaster.
Unpopular I know but I don't think we should have kept Warnock in the summer. A new man should have come in then and been able to bring to have a say on new players and contract renewals. Spanking pub teams 10-0 in preseason was a fucking joke as well, complete waste of time.
We started pretty crap anyway we were hardly flying under Warnock and I honestly think some of that was down to preseason and players just not looking as prepared as other sides.
Then Moore was obviously a shit show from start to finish can't say much else on that.
Worthington came in but gets very over egged, yes he did alright but for at least 65 minutes against Sheff Wed we were awful and should have been a couple down at half time. The Southampton game showed he's not ready because we were in a fantastic position but the game management was terrible. Other games were just poor.
Now AB who really needed a preseason with this lot before getting started. I don't think the players are near fit enough to play how he wants to so he's not only adapting to a different country and league but also having to adapt himself to the players.
Long term I think AB will be good, or at least has a decent chance of being good for us, but I'm not sure he can keep us up this season.
The team needs leaders and we have a severe lack of them which is a huge cock up in the transfer market because we haven't brought any in.

AB has a mess on his hands, not of his doing.

The only hope we have is that the changes that were forced on him second half have made him realise what his best team and tactics are.
Taking Matos out the team to work on something 'tactical' for 4 weeks, only for it to be a shitshow and him excelling in what he does best and was doing anyway is a bit of an alarm bell.
4 at the back looks pretty unavoidable for the foreseeable now so let's hope we focus on trying to score some bloody goals. We are going to need them.

Binned off Warnock who had worked a miracle last year, put faith in Cartwright who is clearly a car salesman at best. Edwards just a yes man. Relentlessly tweets rubbish and does diaries interfering with managers tactics. He’s talked a great game though in fairness.

I think they’ve underestimated how competitive the league is but he has spent money and tried to rectify mistakes. Unfortunately the chopping and changing of management has just been too disruptive for this squad of players.

Yeah I’m not sure it’s all his fault, probably has good intentions, but talk is cheap at this level. Tried to do too much too soon particularly with Warnock and he’s bitten him in the arse. Still 7 games to rescue it but looks bleak.

Yeah most of the players aren’t good enough, but we don’t stand a chance with managers that consistently tinker around playing players out of position and not starting their best lineups.
No excuse now, he’s had plenty of time to learn his better players and their positions. I’m unimpressed if I’m honest.
