Wrong man, wrong time, wrong situation. I think that is a really harsh summary. The major errors this season have been Sacking Warnock much much too soon. Employing Darren Moore. Not sacking Darren Moore soon enough (20 minutes into Hull away would have been appropriate IMHO). We're not down yet. I can't pretend I'm happy with some of AB's decisions but I respect his track record and see much much more than I ever did from Moore. The issues long pre-date AB. On to Stoke (a good away day). The last time I remember visiting in the midst of a relegation battle, we won & they (& Manchester City) went down. UTFT. what have you seen that’s more than Moore out of interest?

Both NW and AB won their first games and then got only 2 more points from the next 5. And then Warnock won at Millwall.... Do you think AB will get 14 points from the last 7 games ? .. I blooming hope he does, or at least enough points for safety. I hope so too, the points for safety bit and maybe not the 14 points. But just have a look at the current form of teams at the bottom: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/championship/tableWe desperately need to put a green W on that table; only Wednesday in the bottom six have one (actually 2, but they're now 3 without a win) in their last 5 matches. We're still in good, meaning terrible, company, in a way that we weren't last season until NW won a few games to get us back in it. Things can change very quickly, although teams stay rooted far more often I suspect. I remember that, at the end of the first Covid affected season, 2019-20, Hull went above us on goal difference after winning their 40th game, 2-1 at home to Warnock's Middlesbrough, and they then lost all their last six matches to finish bottom. They climbed to 18th with that win and not one of the bottom six below them was relegated - Wigan had their points deduction and Charlton contrived to fall almost as hard as Hull. Rotherham will ensure that that won't happen again this season.

It can reset stagnant teams, Ipswich were down there for longer than they'd like but are a good outfit these days. I believe the point is sometimes you need to be punished to learn a lesson. It's like every season we get away with it, we go and make even more farcical decisions the next. I support Town and always will, but my anger has turned to apathy. I'm not saying I want us to be relegated but the changes it should produce are needed. I'm tired of every season hoping other teams lose, because we've already been beaten after 25 minutes. Do you not remember how hard it was for us to get to the championship in the first place? I just can’t agree with going to league 1 to reset or rebuild etc. I do, I just find it insane how we keep self harming ourself every season and never seem to learn. Every season we believe 'got away with it last season, won't happen again', then we're beat again after 20 minutes and folk on here are hoping other teams lose elsewhere. It's shambolic. I'm not saying I want us to go down, just saying we 100% deserve it and it could force a rebuild that we need, but it never happens.

Agree with that, it's just that about 5/6 games ago I was thinking clubs 'only' 3 or 4 points above were in easy reach..now I'm looking at QPR, 4 points above us and thinking wow, that's a big gap...and Stoke/Millwall 5 points above us feel totally beyond us... Every game that goes by these points differences will get harder to overcome...
3 points today would be MASSIVE..

That Hull away game was a disgrace and DM should have gone then. The embarrassment of sending out a team with absolutely no intent to attack was shameful and yes I was there to witness it. As said above AB may have made some mistakes but it’s not his fault we are in the position we are with so little time left. Personally I would want him to stay and build a team he wants as I think his track record warrants that.

It’s Two from Town, Weds, Plymouth, Brum and Blackburn. And unfortunately every one of these teams contains at least one quality forward.

It’s Two from Town, Weds, Plymouth, Brum and Blackburn. To date: Wednesday: 11 wins Plymouth: 10 wins Birmingham: 10 wins Blackburn: 11 wins Town... 8 wins We need to post two wins on the bounce, pretty quick. Unfortunately, that feels an alien concept.

What a ridiculous comment...we aren't breaking ffp rules or getting close like some If we finish in the bottom 3 after 46 games then yeah we deserve it.

Other teams’ poor results have kept us in the fight. They’ve all got fairly tough games today except Plymouth.. I’d take a point today especially if it’s a 2-2..
