The frustrating part has been the smug contrarianism for years, this attitude that we're smarter than the average club despite shooting ourselves in the foot time and time again. Then MC and JE nonchalantly palming off supporter concerns, what do we know eh? "I know as fans you want signings in the door quickly, but we have to be patient" - Proceeds to have a shocking summer window. "I know fans have an emotional connection to Neil, but we're in a position of strength to make a long term appointment" - No, we're just wondering why you gave someone the pre season and then ripped it all up again after making it clear you needed stability this year. Maybe get some runs on the board before you start patronisingly patting us on the head. No matter what happened with Warnock behind the scenes, him being sacked at that time is the reason we're probably going to go down. 100% it started there.

With this guy in charge we ain’t got a hope of staying up. I thought DM was a mistake but under him we were ok at the back and shit up front. Now we are shit all over the place. His tactics of only bringing strikers on as a last resort are bizarre to say the least Except this isn’t true. DM’s tactic was to avoid conceding and do nothing in attack. The problem with that was we did concede and he had no idea except to defend the defeat that was looming. AB’s track record is far superior to DM’s and deserves more respect and time. I suspect he is surprised at the lack of fight, skill and decision making. JW turned things around in attitude but as much as I loved it the reality is we lost to Hull with dreadful decision making. Imagine if DM or AB threw away a lead like at Southampton. Of course they were a very good team and I loved the desire etc etc but the fact is we blew it. The team is currently not showing enough but please do not try and sell the idea that DM was doing a better job.

Said it before, all these managers we've had can't all be shit. Most posters on here will have labelled them as such over their tenures ! They might well have done but when we've been motoring through managers like we have then, the law of averages suggest, you will get a good one eventually. It's the club mate, how it's been run. Tell you summat I use to get pelters on here when I use to call out club out on its penny pinching and total lack of ambition, looks like the chickens are coming home to roost.

The same people who are expecting us to lord it in League One next season (if it happens) are no doubt the same ones who said we'd rip up the Championship with Diakhaby and Mbenza 😂
I can't understand anyone looking forward to that shite league again.

To be honest, I don’t think I could care less about what division we are in.
We’re never gonna win anything. Striving to be ‘the best we can’ is exhausting, self-defeating and has led to some of my most dis-engaged years as a Town fan.
What will be, will be. Heroes will come and go, the ecstasy will offset the despair. Cardiff in 2004 was no less exhilarating than Wembley in 2012.
I really don’t have the energy to believe 2017 will be repeated.
What ruins things for me are the chancers, like Cartwright & Edwards, the monorail salesmen and the overpaid players.
Give me a club without a pot to piss in, a team full of also-rans giving 100% every week and the odd youngster coming through the system who the local kids want to emulate.
Fuck modern football and all the leaches, blaggers & knob heads it attracts.
I just want something I can believe in.
UTFT.

I was referring to those who think JW would be doing any better. JW was in charge for a game where we blew it just as AB was where we lost a lead against West Brom. JW’s advantage was that he was in a no lose position and could just send them out to go for it. The point is correct in that the players are the consistent factor in the poor performances. I’ve no desire to argue any points when we probably are in agreement. If not then it’s just a different way of seeing things.

Yup, and relegation was predicted by many right at that time. Makes it even more fecking irritating we are where we are. Entirely predictable by anyone with half an ounce of common sense. So why the feck did supposed professionals make such an idiotic call. P45 as soon as relegation is confirmed please.

Nagle has certainly put his money where his mouth is however he has been totally let down by the two frauds he hired to make footballing decisions. Their heads need to roll at 5pm on the last game of this season.
With Warnock in charge I firmly stand by my belief since GW1 that we wouldn't be in the relegation zone.
Completely self inflicted and I dont think AB is going to be able to get us out of it unfortunately.
Strangely if we stay up I think with a preseason and some quality added to the first team 11 we'd do okay with AB in the championship next season; I just think appointing and waiting to long with Darren Bore is going to cost us.
Certainly don't think AB is the man to take us out of league 1 up against maybe Barrow, Port Vale and Stockport

A real worry for me is that Andre is adapting to a new country, new league, new club. He will suss out who he wishes to retain and who to jettison.
This takes time and I don’t trust the powers that be to get him the players he wants. The signings this year barr maybe one have been pretty poor (to be kind) so who is to realistically expect us to strike gold with the majority this Summer to either a) get us pushing up the Champ next year or b) be pushing for an instant return?
For this alone Swiss Toni has to go.

I would agree but for buying the club without the necessary funds is a grave error of judgement. Agreed, very gung-ho and believed he could hit the football big time before his cash ran out. I wonder what would have happened had COVID not hit. Sliding Doors moment?

18 months. 6 managers. Constantly battling relegation. When will some fans realise it's not the manager? The players are not good enough. Maybe League One is what we need, full factory reset. If that does happen, I for one, hope we stick with the manager. Spot on, I think relegation will be an embarrassment to Nagle and he will do everything possible to bounce back quickly. The squad really needs a big clear out, not enough Championship quality players. Apparently his private jet is on the way to LBA right now. Wonder if he is on it, and why? Is he expected?

KN is expected, for around 10 days, according to the last 'video diary' he did. Although he didn't say anything specific that he was coming for.

Recruitment on the cheap by Muppets has left us dangling over a cliff, with not much hope of change,as said Muppets have the full backing of Mr. Nagle.

KN needs to swallow his pride and get on the phone to Warnock and beg him to come and save him again. AB can like it or lump it I don't care.. If NW can keep us up, AB can have the summer and next season and rebuild but for now we are in crisis and he hasn't the experience to get us out of trouble. Put him on gardening leave until the end of the season.. If we do nothing, or dither..we're down. If we lose at Stoke I'd have NW here Tuesday morning 9am. Neil would tell us to swivel, and rightly so. As - presumably - would Breitenreiter.

last season Pld 39 for 36 against 55, GD -19, Points 39, league position 22nd this season Pld 39 for 43 against 64, GD -21, Points 39, league position 22nd the difference will be, NW gained 14 points from the last 7 games... It also reveals no progress whatsoever in KN's first season in charge. Both NW and AB won their first games and then got only 2 more points from the next 5. And then Warnock won at Millwall....

My only hope is that Mr Nagle is as smart as I think he is. He is able to look at all the decisions taken by him, and those he has delegated and determine what needs to change.
On the face of it bringing in people with credible cvs is the right thing to do. However it's how he views their performance that matters. I know he loves being positive, and it's an approach I would applaud, but you also have to be realistic about where you are.
What has actually happened is a continuation of poor decisions. There are no excuses pretty much everything from appointments, to recruitment has not been anywhere good enough. Moreover I see no change in mindset or approach that would give me any confidence that the club is looking to go in a new direction and change it's future.
I would not welcome relegation but as it is very possible we need to be properly prepared. We don't need positive "ra ra" nonsense we need hard nosed reality, structure, plan and committed capable people ie not folk picking up a wage who will just shrug and move on (football is littered with these types and I fear we may have employed most of them, in the past and now).
As for Breitenreiter I worry he has already given this season up as too difficult. I wonder if he's preparing that with Mr Nagle in his conversations? I wasn't taken with the "that's football" answers to Oggy post match Friday. His acceptance of a point at Rotherham was equally concerning.
If Mr Nagle has come to be successful he needs to take a long hard look at everything. He must have learned so much these past 10 months. If he hasn't we're pretty much screwed. My instinct is he won't be afraid of challenging people and making changes, but that's what needs to happen.

Town had a settlet team under both Warnock and Worthington and there was no need for change until maybe the end of the season
Town have got what they deserve as the club seems to be very badly run mainly by those actually running the club
The person they should have been sacked was the one under Nagle who appointed Moore as that was the beginning of the end
