Normally I’d have gone to Bristol today but I’m awaiting a cataract operation this Thursday and aren’t keen to drive on unfamiliar roads at present, so went to Crawley v Colchester instead. When I left the ground Town were winning, when I got to the car I checked the scores and it was 1-1. I shouted out loud in frustration, to nobody. Everything I’ve read since then just makes me sad. And Sutton only drew whilst Col U won with two scandalous pieces of defending by Crawley. SU basically down. I’m hating football right now. Hating it. Sod it, time to go out for a meal with the wife. UTT (am I mad?). Occasionally.

After 54 years, stay up or not, I think I've finally had enough. Tired of following a club where: a) the players earn a fortune yet can't do the basics or are unable to play 2 matches a week without being ill or injured b) there seems to be totally inadequate recruitment top to bottom c) the refs are incompetent week in week out and 90% of 50-50 refereeing calls go against Town. Is this game corrupt ?? I'm 63 years old and my blood pressure went through the roof at 4.55 (yet again !!). Following this team is hazardous to your health. I'm seriously asking myself now if it's worth it So agree with you. I am 69 and have decided that I can find better things to do on a Saturday afternoon rather than have my weekend ruined by players who can’t be arsed and officials that just make it up as they go along. Can't fault the players today , the official yes, but the players gave 100% and were the better team. I for one won't be throwing in the towel.

VAR, points deductions, money, agents, foreign ownership etc etc etc. At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old man, give me the Buxton years any day. There's little fun in it now

This is bad timing, I know, but, fucking hell, collect your toys and start blaming the players, the manager, and even yourselves for such misogynistic comments. I'm appalled at the bile spouted about the ref. Shit happens. Nobody died. Move on. What a fucking set of crybabies. What an absolute weapon you are. If you don't like it piss off to wokeland. What's wrong with wokeland? We welcome all. Even individuals like you

Fuck off to your antifa forum. Long way off being relegated yet. Hope you are more positive about other aspects of your life. As I said, shit happens. Move on

Bristol made their own luck. We cant get a last second penalty or score a goal because we are deep in our own box. Personally im fucking sick of watching us melt away and defend in our goalkeepers shorts. The game is played until the final whistle, whenever that is. You and I both know if we get the ball up the pitch and start fucking about with it etc she blows up earlier. The ball is anywhere near either goal and it goes on a bit longer. Play the game.. Stoppage time winners against Millwall and WBA away would suggest we can - just not frequently enough! We didnt need to score again today but we did need the ball and to close the game away from our goal. We simply gave it away and dropped back. We have serious form for doing it..

Its long, long into extra time. They got the ball into our box, ergo they made their own luck. We failed to make them have to work hard to get it there ergo the only team that was going to force their own luck was them. Cant concede an obvious or ludicrous penalty if your not there. We failed to play the game, we played the clock and it cost us. Its similar to running at opponents in the box time after time, you will get a streaky decision every now and again and you will get a ludicrous one eventually, even with VAR. We are very unlucky today but keeping the ball out of the box isnt our main defensive priority and its cost us a lot of points. Did Plymouth "make their own luck" last night when Leicester consistently missed absolute sitters after getting into the Plymouth box? Did they f**k! Did Forest make their own luck in the Play Off final with an OG and 2 clear penalties not given? Same answer as above. Make your own luck is absolute rubbish. Playing the clock is also an integral part of any sport We played the clock which means precisely fuck all when refs simply add time onto added time and you dont know how long is left. You make your own luck even if the opposition outplay you totally. So many goals scored via deflections, so many late goals scored against teams like us adopting the run away and wait for it tactic. We have let so many important late goals in you would think they might have learned something, but perhaps not. Of course its not a penalty today but we are there in the wrong place doing the wrong things. We had the ball and just gave it away then allowed it to reach our box one more time. Im sick of it happening, no excuses. Btw, Forest made their luck by forcing an own goal, had they not run in and challenged for it, it would not have been a goal.

I think we are fooked. Birmingham have one game against Rotherham and what will be Norwich’s B team.
That leaves us needing 3 wins to finish above them.

A lot of the other teams have turned up when it mattered though. Fair enough today was especially painful due to it being a penalty with the last kick, but you get what you earn. Thought we did ok and certainly enough to earn the 3 points. Usual lack of quality but we were the better of the two teams overall. I agree in terms of today, I meant over the course of the season we've earned where we are. It isn't just bad luck and that all the referees are against us. Wasn't a penalty today. We shouldn't keep putting ourselves in situations where a bad refereeing decisions sends us down though.

Coventry finally playing for a cup semi final, which given man utds form isnt a given. Swansea now with nothing at all to play for as a club?? Lets see.. Birmingham at Rotherham means expectation on them to win well, lets see. Ipswich may be in the play offs and will owe anyone else absolutely nothing. Truth is having to win a couple of games may not be the worst thing for us, of course Id like it to be different.

Today hits really hard, to drop 2 points like that especially with the other results. It’s killed off the last of my belief, I just don’t see us surviving this time. If we drop it could be the same spiral like after the Premier League and scrapping near the bottom of League One until we sort ourselves out.

1 non penalty away from a good win today... Tactics and bench were odd but they worked (or would have for the win, if not for the incompetent ref) should we keep the manager? Yes, whichever division we are in. Give him at least the first 3 games and then start sharpening the pitch forks and repeat.

Sounds like we were unlucky today and screwed over by a ref. That’s never happened before!
We do have a chance of staying up but we absolutely must beat Birmingham when we play them or we will be down.

Our relegation odds are now 1/2. They were 10/11 this morning.
Basically it’s been a terrible day.

They should. It’s a disgrace. Was nearly double the time added Had David Kasumu not dived at Rotherham and stayed on his feet he may well have scored. Such a bad dive he even got booked. Had Ollie Turton not deliberatley handled the ball today (altho he didnt get booked) we would be in a much better place. And as for Matos clear foul on the Preston player last week...well. If we are going to continue to shoot ourseves in the foot then.... If this isn’t a joke then I can understand why town fans end up battering each other during games, Christ.

Beyond gutted at the manner of the result today not to mention other results. However pleasantly surprised to hear we played well and deserved the win. That surely gives some hope that we might, just might be capable of another couple of wins. Before today I thought it impossible so I'm going to clutch those straws. I just hope it hasn't psychologically destroyed them, hopefully they can use the injustice as fuel instead.

Didn’t see anything other than a few mins of the first half, so I’d be interested to hear rational views on whether the time added on was justified?
Logic says that if there were 5 mins added (yes I know it’s minimum, but they often blow up dead on the time if the game is a dead rubber), then that means the whole of the first 5 mins must have been lost to legitimate stoppages?
Feels a bit bloody cruel today, after what seemed like a good performance and what would have been a deserved 3 points.
Today wasn’t the reason why we’re in the bottom 3, but it really feels like a gut punch…
I know folk are sore, but look at the difference in mood after Tues and then the Wed games earlier this week. It’s clear that the 2 from ‘x’ permutations are reducing, but that’s what happens this time of the season, all Town can do is soldier on and hope that this season turns out jam side up.
All we can do is get behind the team next week and hope the twists and turns in the other games play out well for us. 🤞

Fine margins but i think thats us cooked.
Those extra two points followed by a win against Swansea wouldve seen us leapfrog at least one of Stoke or Plymouth who play each other next week and kept us above Weds and Birmingham.
Now theyre just out of reach for another game and we need 2 of the 6 teams around us to shit the bed alongside us winning at least 2 of our last games.
When you start needing 2 or 3 things to happen alongside us winning games, it becomes foolish to expect it.
I dont think 50 is enough after this weekend's results elsewhere but lets see. This has tipped the scales from possible to not fucking likely

Maybe Town can do the same after that sucker punch today?

We haven’t been relegated because of today’s decision so I won’t blame it for that, but it’s genuinely one of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen. She should be fined and suspended for it. As should any referee who gets such critical decision wrong.
