He flies around the world in a private jet wearing flip flops, for that reason alone, I'm guessing he's worth a few quid. He’s got 2, I’ve been told. (Jets, not pairs of flip flops) Happy for DC to correct though.

If I was sponsoring the shirt and the club said "we're going to offer them for sale without" the first thing I'd say would be well I'm not paying what we've agreed then. I imagine 99% of companies would say the same. I don't know but that's how I expect it works ie "we sell x thousand shirts, which will carry your logo". I'm not having a go at the question but given we have just seen our revenues take a massive hit we need to generate every penny possible. I don't know about Utilita and their practices and I understand the gambling concern but nobody is forced to use Utilita or gamble because they maybe on our shirts. It's far from ideal but we need to be realistic about where we are. NB None of this means that any revenue will be wisely spent of course but I understand that the club needs to generate as much as possible. I have a centenary shirt without the sponsorship logo, which was Casino Red that year. When Rekorderlig were plastered across our shirts we were able to buy a plan shirt. Celtic are sponsored by Dafabet and offer a shirt without sponsorship logo every season. We’re not selling every shirt as it is, plenty for sale right now heavily discounted, even if only 100 of them were available I’m sure we’d sell them. Better than having to discount them or bin them.

I would like to know if we will pay more attention to the women's team. Most other clubs embrace the women's team and we seem to neglect ours

I don't see any concerts scheduled at the JSS this summer...might be looking in the wrong place ? No concerts but I understand Billy Smart will be pitching his big top on the centre circle. No, he’s been in the dugout most of the season.

Don’t be hard on AB, he might have had to cut the lawn today and simply didn’t have time to contact his boss to discuss this important issue. I understand it’s washing day tomorrow so probably won’t be then either. FFS Kevinget rid.

End of season diary is up. Dave, I think you or Kevin may have misunderstood the question about owners/directors loans. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think what HTSA were trying to establish was whether the money Kevin is putting into HTAFC was a cash injection or a owners/directors loan, and if it is a loan, is he charging HTAFC interest on that loan? This has happened at certain other football clubs...

Good questions and interview, hopefully we get clarity on the loans as alluded to. Shame AB hasn’t made a decision yet, hopefully that comes tomorrow. Really hope it’s not a case of him waiting for town to sack him, i doubt it is he seems a genuine person. Fingers crossed we get some more news tomorrow.

Having just listened, some good and some frustrating.
Good: - The communication itself, whether you like or don't like what was said at least it is there and way better than anything we've had before - The academy news sounds bright and I'm glad we have a plan - A canalside price is agreed, it's just when we want to move on it - Season ticket freeze and the reason behind it - The ambition for next year. If he sticks to his word with the spending and budget it sounds very positive. - I really like Dave as a person
Frustrating: - Andre. He needs to decide what he's doing now with no further delay. If he doesn't have the bottle for it, go. Otherwise get to work fixing the problems. - I don't think Kevin understands the summer squad situation, and I don't think Dave got it either (which isn't a dig at Dave, it isn't his job to know everything). The striker comment is worrying to me. We couldn't play strikers because we started the season with 1 injury prone striker, not because of injuries. It sounds like he's been spun a line by his employees. That is the answer I would have pushed back on the most if I was interviewing. - The local radio comments. IMO either say why what they have said isn't accurate or leave it altogether. Don't make a snide comment but not explain the background.
I am pretty neutral on the Edwards and Cartwright comments. He isn't going to come out and slate them so he had to back them (or have already sacked them).

I know i kiss Dave’s arse and not all agree but i think these diaries are tremendous. I feel like these 2 are one of us more than i have the previous owners post Premier League.
He’s answered the questions about Cartwright and Jake. You might not like the answer but you’ve heard straight from the horse’s mouth.
Obviously we wanted to know about André but Kevin can’t force him to give an answer, well he could but i imagine it would prove expensive.
Good job chaps.

To be fair Dave those are probably better, more detailed questions than Radio Leeds have asked anyone at Town in years

Sorry to be negative but...
Whilst it's appreciated that Kevin communicates with us and I like the bloke, it just feels to me that there's not much substance to the diary; limited specifics:
We don't know how he's loaning/gifting the club Who the manager is (granted he can't do much about that before this diary) No idea what our transfer budget is No clear update on where we are with the academy. What academy level are we even aiming for? We are investing behind the scenes, but in what? Better analytics (like Brentford and Brighton)? The best in class heads of ages in the academy? How are the results going to change with the academy under KN's chairmanship? What's the plan? Just having an academy didn't work for us before. Why are we investing in Canalside but not buying it? Would that affect our budget in league one and so we want to hold off the process?
I don't think we got many answers.

Haven't heard the diary yet but just picking up on the local radio comment....I did wonder what RL motive was in putting that tweet out last night I’ll tap in here. We love our friends at RL, especially Oggy. I think it’s maybe an “American” way of what we call “ribbing”. They asked for an interview earlier this week, and with Andre still not resolved along with Kevin leaving Thursday, there just wasn’t time because the diary was always going to be his first extended comments. My last trip there you may remember we went in studio there and sat with them. So the way the tweet went out (I get they have a job to do) made it sound a bit like Kevin was dodging them, which couldn’t be further from the truth. And I’m sure Kevin will sit with Oggy soon enough, maybe even from the US. As far as the “snide comments” go, those were very much directed at two in particular, Duncan and Ginger Ogre, and weren’t meant as snide- just again, lighthearted “ribbing” back. Here’s the thing, and I know some might not like this- decorum isn’t always a strong suit. Whether it’s him or me, if you’re taking a beating from someone, I think it’s ok to talk a little shit back- whether it’s those guys or media or Leeds fans or whatever. That’s just how we are- we can take all kinds of abuse, that’s totally fine, but don’t ask us to just be robots. It’s a serious business, but all the chatter- that is what it is. Never personal, always in fun, and I can tell you KN interacts with the most critical fans constantly. Publicly AND privately. I’ve seen it firsthand. Yeah maybe that’s not how club officials act, but it’s real and authentic and I promise you has nothing to do with what happens on the pitch. As Crash said in Bull Durham: “when you have mold on your shower shoes in the minors, you’re a slob. When you win 20 in the show and have mold on your shower shoes, you’re ‘colorful’. I can promise you when we are winning again we will poke back the same way. Bullies get bullied, and from what I’ve gathered in my short time here, the idea of Town being the “meek little tiny club” ain’t it. Again, not everyone will agree with the style, but it is what it is.
