Just wondering where everyone thought we will finish next season? Seen a lot of people saying a lot of different things so i thought i’d create a poll.
Personally i think with the right recruitment and right manager brought in we should be finishing 4th-1st place.
However after the disasters that Cantwright produced last season i fear for the worst.
Let me know your thoughts

Get a good manager in and have a good window and I don’t see why we don’t do autos.

Should be aiming to bounce straight back, but I’ve got a feeling it won’t be straightforward. Can see us being top half but out of the play offs.

We'll be one of the best supported clubs with one of the biggest budgets, providing the club do their jobs correctly and bring in the right manager with a mixture of leadership and talent, then I see no reason why we shouldn't be realistically we aiming for a top two finish.
Just hoping Kev stands by his end of season diary comments and it's not just lip service.
It's going to get to a point where we need to draw a line under last season, but the people at the top need to show some real intent to the fans before we see something we can really get behind.

Mid-table. There's no way we're doing anything if we keep this bunch of players.
If we have a much-needed clearout, then it has to be Top 6 as a bare minimum, but only if we rid ourselves of these losers.

I think we'll end up about 10th. Just from a lifetime of following Town, here's what I'm expecting. The squad/new manager turnover won't all happen quite in time for the first match of the season, and we'll look crap in August including one abject defeat. Nagle will panic and spend money on deadline day players, while wantaways also leave late in the window. The squad will start to settle and the new manager will begin to win people over, and by Christmas we'll be pushing the playoffs. Cue a crap start to the new year and a brief bad run, during which the manager is sacked because the aim from upstairs is promotion. This makes things worse, the club takes its time over a new manager search, by which point we're well adrift. Things start to click from March onwards, by which point it's too late.
The following season we bottle the playoffs after big player investment.
The season after that we go up.

Realistically? How can anyone make an informed prediction right now? It is impossible to say.
When we are back for pre season we will have a better idea.

We will win some pre-season matches and look good. The new manager will be upbeat and we will go into the new season full of optimism. Then we will play our first competitive game and reality will strike. Always happens this way....

What is the point in asking this question when we have no idea who the manager or playing squad will be?

Hate to say this but we've been consistently wank since wagner in all departments
Would love to see us storm league 1 but we have to completely turn around the squad, management, culture, mentality and attitude first and that'll take some doing
Not sure what people have seen to believe that we'll do well after the last few seasons

What is the point in asking this question when we have no idea who the manager or playing squad will be? My thoughts exactly. So many things to consider before even having a guess here - Who will be the manager - What will the retained list look like - Who will be sold - Who will be bought - Who will be loaned in, and who will be loaned out I understand making a prediction when you have a fair idea of what the above will look like, even if not entirely (ie makng a prediction towards the end of the window) but right now, we're quite blind on what the make up is for next season

Admittedly it all depends on the new manager and recruitment, but I have a good feeling about next season.
If we recruit well I think we could be in for promotion, I am not always so positive , I was convinced we were going to get relegated this season!

I wasn't impressed with Cardiff when we played Mansfield. Stadium seemed to have a lot of concrete and low ceilings, and views from the bottom tier wasn't brilliant. The location is great, Cardiff is a buzzing city and of course the stadium is right on the very edge it. Wembley has far more space, better seating and views although not as good a location for the bars and food outlets..imo.

It depends 100% on who the manager is and on recruitment...I've a sneaky feeling we won't be splashing the cash but using league 3 to blood the youngsters for a couple of years...It'll be called 'steadying the ship'..mid table at best..I just don't see KN pumping £m's in to buy 6 or 7 players .

That must be first I think, can't think of that ever happening before.??

Hard to know when we don't have a clue who the manager of the players will be.
But promotion vying teams tend to have a settled squad that has played with each other for a while and with a style of play they're familiar with. If we keep the majority of the current squad to keep it settled, I cant see better than mid table. I watched Oxfords playoff semi final the other night, and its safe to say we wouldn't currently beat them.
We need a major squad overhaul but for us to bounce straight back we will need to recruit Championship standard players (But while in the Championship we have largely recruited L1 standard players) and hope the squad clicks together fast.
Lets hope they make good decisions with but the manager and playing squad!

IMO at this point a bit meaningless to do anything other than guess/speculate. Simply a few to many unknowns/questions (Manager, players in/out) to do a reasonable analysis.

Are we the only team to have had play off finals in three different stadiums?…. Only team to go from 4th tier to top tier without scoring a goal (open play)..........Only Town, Peterborough, Stevenage & Torquay played at OT, so most likely.

Pointless poll. We don’t know who the manager will be, let alone which players will stay or go, new signings etc.

I could see a couple of decent signings coming along. Maybe not 7 expensive ones. But I believe the new manager will have some backing, seemed to be available to AB so I can't see why he wouldn't back whoever the new appointee is. That's not to say we won't also blood youngsters though

I can't believe how many have put automatic promotion down when we have spent the lasst 3-4 years lurching from one poor decision to another. I feel it's unlikely the people responsible for those decisons will suddenly discover the required clarity of thought and make enough right decisions for an immediate return to the Championship but I guess we live in hope.
