Actually it was a flippant comment, not intended as an argument. If you want an argument I would refer to the consequential imbalance in wages across the squad & how that might upset moral, unless a whole load more of some else's money was chucked it, but others have made such points before so I thought you would have recalled such. As a Yorkshire bloke, I would be proudest if Town were to win without spending too much of anyone's money, even more so if it includes local lads coming through the academy investment, but that takes patience some don't have. Therefore I like our owners approach, and if it takes time to get in good purchases, so be it. Couldn't care less how we win, as long as we do. When the owner says we are aiming for promotion this season, patience doesn't cone into it. It's none of our money, so by your argument you could say that no-one is allowed an opinion because it's not their money. But that would be ludicrous. I made no comment on how we win! Patience does come into it when the window is still open! It's rubbish to say it's none of our money given we pay to attend! And, everyone is entitled to an opinion! It's ludicrous to refer an argument and then twist what someone says in response.

The best league performance to date has been at Peterborough, who have done really well when not playing us. In the other 2 games we've come up against 2 sides that were happy to defend deep but had the audacity to have a couple of chances too.
I feel we will be better away from home, where teams will have to attack us. Our 3 (including Headley) wingbacks have done really well this season but we have to get used to having more of the ball & breaking teams down, a lot of our players are not used to this.
I'm really happy with the start to our season & would be even more so with another striker, however, you can't knock the lads, we are creating chances & the only goal conceded was a penalty, yet it seems Brum are being lauded for spending millions even though they are below us - albeit early days in the season. People are not mentioning Posh, apart from to say we caught them on a bad day! Maybe we were just too good for them?

If we had signed May we'd have got a third less value out of him because we never get given penalties, which is where he gets a third of his goals from! That's a fair point. I also wonder if KN asked Coach Duff if he thought it was worth upping our offer and was told no.

This is a nonsense of an argument. We were relegated following a succession of poor decisions. The Chairman had said it’s the club’s aim to achieve promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking and if this means digging deep to achieve, he owes that to the fans. He has money, lots and lots of it, and absolutely shouldn’t be shrinking back on an asking price on a player the manager wants. Are we serious about going back up or not? I’ll give KN his dues on the non playing side of things though, the stadium looks really neat.

So basically you say we are not Automatic promotion candidates, but then from the other 23 league 1 teams, you can't name 2 that will finish above us and why......OK Whilst I agree we could do with a couple of additions to the first 11 - Striker & left footed Centre Back - we've won 3 of 3 without getting anywhere near top form for a full 90 minutes and currently sit in an automatic promotion spot. For me, that actually bodes well. I'd expect Birmingham, Bolton and Charlton to all finish above us TBH. Not to disagree or cause an argument but why? What have those 3 done to suggest they will all finish above Town. I know we imploded last night

I know we imploded last night Birmingham should be top 2 in this league, but I think Bolton are still a bit hungover from playoffs and depends how quickly they get going. I have a feeling Charlton will drop away into a comfortable 5th/6th. Stockport are the biggest threat to our chances of automatic outside of Brum in my opinion, but I expect us to be up there competing with both

I know we imploded last night Birmingham have spent a fuck ton of money on players who look VERY decent for this level (and would actually look good in the division above). Leonard, Yokoyama and Willumson the pick of them but Alfie May is proven at this level. That's in addition to them being on paper too good to go down last season. Bolton consistent improvement year on year, one bad performance at Wembley away from being in the division above. Their new Hungarian winger looks class as well. Charlton gave sold May but replaced with Ahadme who looks very decent. Revamped their midfield as well with Doherty, Berry and Campbell. Underachieved the last few years but the Angry Welsh Goblin does know how to get a tune at this level. Couple of young players in Leaburn and Small who have another year under their belts. We look susceptible to the diagonal ball and someone getting in behind our wing backs looks like a real vulnerability for us. Coincidentally the areas Brum and Bolton in particular look very good.

And as I said, it's a crap argument. For the entitled, so it seems. Entitled! It,s not me .amongst others, who are this. The owner clearly stated that Promotion at the 1st attempt was the only option, therefore you would expect him to fund exactly that.If he was unaware that the squad was so lacking in quality,He will certainly be aware now!

We needed a total reset of the playing squad. A change of bodies, ability and mentality.
We have successfully addressed some problem areas, Miller, Sorensen, Kane will do nicely in those positions.
Evans has had one really good game, subsequent performances have been poor at best. Definitely a player, but he needs to impose himself, not drift in and out of games.
Wiles... please don't say you've reverted to 2023/2024 Wiles.
Balker getting injured should have kick started our defensive recruitment, nevermind the fact that Brodie was being shoehorned in on the left prior to getting injured! We needed one left sided CB, now we possibly need another CB ontop.
Headley has ability, but hes still learning and I wont be too harsh on him.
We haven't found Hoggy's successor and now he's being shown up at league one / two level. I adore the bloke (as we all do) but his legs appear to have gone, it's horrible to witness the game pass him by.
Kas can't be the new No6 and fill in at RWB to cover Lasse, therefore we need another CDM.
Ward only good enough for 4th choice for me. Harrat we have to try to loan to league 2 and Hudlin just pay the lad off. Phillips I really don't know where he's at. 10 goals in the states, but surely not ready for what we need.
Bojan is an unknown quantity still, but looks a finisher. Get him properly fit, then ease him in for me.
Jones, doesn't suit our system. Got to loan him out as its not fair to him.
We sell rudoni for good money, get Sorba out and move on some others, surely the budget is not a problem?
2 x CB (potentially) 1 striker 1 CDM
This is the minimum we need an addition IMHO.
Too many players on the fringe of the squad, on long contracts from previous incumbents holding us back financially or what?
I trust Kevin, but I dont trust Cartwright.
Massive few days ahead. If cartwright doesn't deliver, zero excuses, he's out for me.

I’ve actually made the effort to read up on our rivals a bit and I completely agree with your reflections. Brum, Bolton, Charlton but plenty of other decent teams will be in the top 6/8.. Wrexham, Lincoln, Posh and Barnsley.
