I can't stand Leeds They're equally condescending, but at least they have some foundation and basis for being that way in terms of our relative histories. Leeds United - 3 league titles, 1 FA Cup, 1 League Cup, 2 UEFA Cups (or equivalent), 2 Charity Shields. (9) Huddersfield Town - 3 league titles, 1 FA Cup, 1 Charity Shield. (5) Bradford City - 1 FA Cup. (1) Think we both have a basis to be condescending. Who has tried to justify that perception based on the last 15-20 years? We've justified it based on when we actually won stuff. No we weren't. We were three; Barnsley would have needed to have beaten us, as well as Peterborough and Millwall winning. Why should it be embarrassing? We've achieved the first stage of consolidation in a division where clubs regularly spend millions on individual players and incur eight figure wage bills. Yes, we played poorly against a Premier League side in the Cup, however, they played very well and ultimately beat Everton and Man City en route to the final. As for the fans not turning up; the attendance was fair for a game live on terrestrial TV and whilst lower than our average league attendance, it was higher than yours... I agree you'll have had many games bigger than this one. It's the League Cup; us playing Yeovil at home in the league on a Tuesday night would be a bigger game than this one. Claiming you made history is a big of an exaggeration. Whilst everything makes history in the sense that all football results are recorded, it's hardly going to be spoken about in 90-odd years the way that an achievement such as winning the top division three times on the trot would be... Why is chanting songs about historical achievements laughable? They're not based on the 1930's either; in the 1930's we were just runners up (albeit in a real competition) a couple of times, and no one cares about the runners up... We're not in the same boat at all. If you haven't grasped that you should maybe have a flick through our respective fixtures tomorrow.

If it was a league game (any division) it would be a big match. If it was in the FA Cup it would be a big match. It's the first round of the Capital One Cup, so it's not a big match. Sorry, I know Bradford won it 0-5 last season and have probably added a star for every corner, but the League Cup is a total irrelevance to most football clubs and their fans. Don't get the 'No one cares about the League Cup'. Man U and Chelsea have dominated it in the last decade. We beat Wigan's reserves who hammered your lot, Arsenal played their best team, as did Villa, as did Swansea... Probably doesn't matter to Town as you don't have the belief to reach the final so you give up before it starts. Dominated it with reserve & u18 sides because NO ONE CARES. That Wigan side won the FA Cup you silly chicken... McManaman won them the game that day and bossed the final as well, plus we had a fringe team playing ourselves as well with Alan Lee up top. Arsenal turned up to VP with the worst attitude I've ever seen - not one of them wanted to be there that day, same with Villa. When someone finally turned up against you and wanted to win the game you were embarrassed. Que Sera.

Honestly, how many would be a Valley Parade if it was the other way round, a 25k sell out? Get a grip Bradford lads and lasses, its gone to your heads already. I'm looking forward to the game, but no doubt, despite Bradford being a bigger city than Huddersfield we are better supported than you are, always have been always will be. I'm willing to bet that only during your Premiership years and aside from 87/88 when you were flying high and we had our worst season ever, have you ever had a bigger average gate than Town. You know it, I know it and everyone else knows it, in West Yorkshire the pecking order is Leeds, Town and then you lot. First and foremost, alright chaps. In regards to the draw, yeah, it's all we've ever wanted. All joking aside, it should be cracker, and even at this early stage, i'm quietly confident - just a shame it isn't at Valley Parade. If it was drawn at VP, the crowd wouldn't be all that different - but still overall slightly higher. 12k-13k perhaps. But looking into a few averages, we've beaten your seasonal average 24 times. 1921, 1922, 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1979, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1994, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2008. (I've probably missed a few more, and I skimmed through comparing 'em quickly. I'm not going to deny, your crowds have been better down the year, but only marginally. Infact, the all-time average attendances for each clubs are below. Last recorded in 2008, but it gives you a rough idea. Hudderfield - 13,038 Bradford - 10,569 Anywaaaay, back on-topic.

Dont know why there is so much animosity between these 2 clubs.
fact. Town have won more in their history.
but we are very similar sized clubs and Sadford has a bigger population to pull from.
One hero to both clubs is mr Jackson.
I miss our games tbh. Had some good days out at sadford.
its a superb draw for the first week of the season and can see it being very close.

I hate Bradford with a passion but even though I hate to say it, they would've sold out their allocation at Leeds......we couldn't.

I'd say the cost is more of a rational explanation for not going rather than an excuse. Nowt to do with us staring relegation in the face then? If we'd been in the top 6 we'd have sold our allocation, would the price have been an issue then?

I do appreciate you making an assumption that I decide when to go to away games based on our league position. We were 6 points clear of the bottom 3 when I went to Brighton, only 1 point further away than when we played Leeds. I didn't go to Leeds in 2007 or 2008 and our position in the table was a damn sight better on both occasions than last season, guess why I didn't go? It was too expensive!! And I didn't go in 2009 because I was in Hamburg before you ask.

You're saying the tickets costing £36 is an excuse, therefore it's fair to assume that the same tickets costing £46 or £56 would also be an excuse...

If you're willing to pay any price to go to Elland Road then fair enough. Some of us, myself included, have a limit as to what is deemed an acceptable price for Championship football.
