Goodluck dave.. Hope he doesnt come after schindler and mooy 🧐 Mooy won't move his family to Germany, Schindler would probably go but I can't see him being given the chance. He's a Town legend, but not good enough for a club chasing the Champions league in Germany.

Best of luck to the guy, he will always have a unique position in Town manager lists, being the first to promote us to the prem.

1-1 at the moment. I just looked at the table and I really didn't realise how badly Schalke had done their year.

1-1 at the moment. I just looked at the table and I really didn't realise how badly Schalke had done their year. Yeah, a disastrous season for them (narrowly avoiding the relegation zone). Unbelievable how they beat their bitter rivals Borussia Dortmund 4-2 the other week, wrecking Dortmund's plans of winning the league. As of today though Dortmund still have a small chance of achieving that goal next week.

We're in Dusseldorf. I shall report back on the game I feel VAR may feature in your report Indeed!! So after a few beers I shall attempt to report back!! Schalke were poor first half so you tend to think Wagner has his work cut out. However second half they were very good and could have won the game. Var and penalties a key feature of this game! A lot to build on so interesting times next season!

Wonder if he would consider bringing his new team over for a pre season friendly?

Someone shared a Yorkshire based pic that his new club tested. Anyone else see it? I can't upload pics from this new phone...
Best of luck to him though, hope he gets his mojo back...

Normally very-reliable Kicker magazine reporting Wagner will be joined by Christoph Bühler at Schalke.

Seems Dave Wagner has changed his mind and taken a job as a news anchor with a penchant for idiot savants. Couple of crazy chicks. Q: When Huddersfield beat Fulham in 1981 who scored the only goal? A: It was Ian Robins. It was 10th October....a Saturday. It was rainy. The crowd was 8,258. Anwar Sadat was murdered 4 days earlier. Yes, yes.

I wonder when and why the new Schalke sporting director was at Canalside? (Found this on their forum)
Why did you choose David Wagner as the new Schalke head coach? Jochen Schneider: There are several reasons for this. David radiates a great personality, he has a positive, open nature, his motivation and hunger are great. The way he deals with people is also to be highlighted. I have good contacts to England and have been in the training center at his last club Huddersfield.

Always a Terrier, but best of luck with Schalke, glad to see he is looking so enthusiastic & well again.

For all those wanting a look at David Wagner and his new team just pop over to Anfield. On Tuesday 6th Aug FC Schalke 04 play the mighty Reds. David will be able to meet up with his old mate Kloppo and pick up a few tips about how to inspire his strikers to score a few goals next season. Schalke will need them if they are not to become embroiled in a relegation battle again.

Game cancelled due to Jürgen Klopp not being bothered, and giving higher preference to the game against Norwich a couple of days later. In factual news: Erik Durm has confirmed that he had interviews with David Wagner at Schalke.

See, he can coach a team team to score! I wouldn't worry. He'll soon knock that out of them. Unbelievable Or maybe he won’t have to rely on cheap gambles / major signings that had only started 13 games before... A few of you may get a shock this season - For Wagner to 1. Get us promoted 2. Keep us up with the squad and budget he had was a miracle. The season we won promotion we won 23 games by a goal, only 3 by more than 1. Some of you say that was we were negative, I say what utter nonsense - all down to game management, professionalism, getting the most out of the team Let’s see where we finish this season with apparently (according to most on here - not my view) a stronger team than we got promoted with without Wagner
