I presume all his family are back in Germany...His exit seemed very quick...that game at Cardiff was obviously the final straw, I was sat behind him and never seen him so angry...final straw, the penalty that was/wasn't ?

I hope he takes this job. Thinks the guy is a bloody hero, just couldn’t stand him managing an English opponent also. Will forever be held in the highest esteem by myself bar him going to a near by club I hate.

Well atleased he'll finally have Mark Uth in his squad.
If he does end up there I could see some business being done between us & Schalke in the summer. Just hope he doesn't come in for Shindler & Mooy.

Would be great to see him at an established club. It's a big task as Schalke have underperformed a lot this season, but it will be interesting to see which of his own players he'll bring in (and if he'll buy any from Town), and how the players already at Schalke will get on under him. I liked the look of Bentaleb when he was at Spurs, but don't know a whole lot about the rest of the side.

No way Mooy would go there with a young family and a wife with family in Scotland. I’ll be very surprised if he isn’t in blue and white or black and white stripes next season.
Maybe he’ll come in for Stankovic though as he was “the one we had to sign”

I love David as most of us do. I can't see him coming in for many of our players. The quality level he will be looking for is a step up Schalke are a big club who are usually fighting at the top end of the table and getting into Europe.
Who would he want to take? Maybe Schindler if he needs a leader of the defense? Maybe Phil Billing because potential upside to the player he might be and good working relationship with David.
I can't think of anyone else.
EDIT: With Aaron Moooy, I think if he wants to move it would be to another UK club. His wife is Scottish so possibly expect a bit of Celtic/Rangers interest in Aaron.

Big, big club for him. I hope he has recovered from the rigors of football management in the premiership.

I doubt he could be bothered running round after Billing giving him the kick up the arse he needs, took him long enough to get the best out of him at Town and by the time he did it was too late really. I'm sure he'll be able to find easier players of the required quality to work with. Zanka, Lossl, Kongolo maybe? I'm guessing VLP has burned his bridges

Highly talented, young, chance for European foootball and could build a strong defense around him. Yes, rather than Schindler Wagner might be coming for Kongolo.

Schalke goals scored this season > Schalke goals scored next season I understand the piss take, but absolutely poles apart in terms of how he will be able to play, with a good budget and an already decent ex Champions League side.

I would personally be rather surprised if he came in for a single player at town. I would expect us to want our money back for him too

Schalke goals scored this season > Schalke goals scored next season They have only scored 36 goals in 31 games. They have had a poor season but with my limited knowledge of the german league theyre generally in europe a lot. If wagner went im sure he would accumulate a hell of a lot more points. I know youre jesting btw, i think it would be the sort of challenge he would relish though.
