Chris Houghton is looking for a new club, he knows the championship and the Premier League and this would be a real statement from the club who in my opinion have let the fans down this year with the lack of quality signings.
One win in 18 games, players unrest, fans fed up and needing a lift, why is he still in charge?? even after just one game this season we appear to still have a loosing mentality do we think it’s time for a change?

He wanted to sign Billing when he was Brighton manager, I thought that would rule him out for you?

No, it wouldn't. Give the poor bloke a chance. How about we sack you from your job? And it's Hughton… Hughton… HUGHTON. FFS.

I don’t think anyone ‘wants’ Siewert to do badly but I worry we are all so desperately looking for positives that we are in danger of giving him too much time. The fact he is a nice bloke, mixed with fans at friendlies posing for pictures and speaks with confidence are not guarantees of success. In fact these things you would expect as a given.
I am desperate for him to do well and come good but the insistence on playing a system with players in that do not seem to fit the roles (Kongolo at LB, where does Pritchard fit?, Grant as a central striker who would seemingly do well off a target man) fills me with worry.
Should he not work out and an experienced/proven manager like Hughton or a Jokanovic would no doubt lift spirits as I am sure they would look at the players they have and pick a system and way of playing that suits what they have to play with.
I have no issue with playing 4-3-3, can buy into Jan’s philosophy and will support the guy but it’s definitely long odds that it will magically come good this year with him at the helm

Remove the first"o" in his name and the first "o" in loosing and I will think about responding

Siewert has a terrible record but he needs his own players, not the ones who downed tools when Wagner took his ball home. Will he be a success? Who knows?
I have the feeling the club will stick with him. He just needs a little luck.

Siewert deserves his chance at the Championship.
If it doesn't work out, go all out for Jokanovic.

I don't really consider Siewerts record in the Premier Lge. It was always gonna be shit whoever we brought in. I will assess him on the games in the Championship and so far he's had one game, so no It won't cheer me up if he's sacked.

Too early to sack him for this season's result obviously but if Buxton, Greaves, Warnock and others had come in when he did last season I would have been amazed if they wouldn't't have got different results and performances, though they may not have avoided relegation. I've never fully understood this apparent "some players have given up/are disruptive let's start again next season" attitude, apparently from January if not before.

We’ve sold £20m+ of players, signed replacements for under £1m ... yet people think we’d be prepared to pay the wages of a successful manager and that they’d love to come to our club. Clueless.

No. I think the manager is more popular that the chairman at the moment. Big 10 games ahead for the club as a whole.

No I would like to see him succeed So would I, despite my reservations. My concern at the moment is that this squad just doesn't look to have many goals in it - Grant excepted. Even if we improve our level of performance, do we have enough players to finish the good play?

Getting rid of Siewert now would indicate either that the board had a genius idea up their sleeve or that HTFC is a basket case club.
We're 1 game into the season. A young squad and a manager with a proven track record of developing young players (albeit not a proven track record as a manager.
Our squad is good enough to stay up. If it doesn't look like that's going to happen then I'm sure PH will pull the trigger. In the meantime we need to give JS a chance.
The only bit I'd agree with is Hughton being a good choice IF we were looking for a new boss.
